San Angeles - Industrial District
The industrial district is perhaps the most varied of all the parts of San Angeles, countless products made and sold here. Quarries, self-contained forests, and massive ecologically friendly construction plants fill this place, and literally thousands of different items are made here, shipping out from San Angeles to all the rest of the world. While this place is clean and modern, the spectre of pollution still hangs unavoidably over some plants, and large treatment facilities minimize the impact this has on the environment of this otherwise beautiful city. This area is also heavily occupied, at the moment, by violent troops who are attempting to overtake this section of the ctystate. The San Angeles police are as fractured here as they are elsewhere.

Moisture is prominent in the air; it's surprisingly cool in San Angeles at this time of the afternoon and clouds laden with spring rain draw themselves away to unveil the round white sun staring down at all the Earth. Occasionally the light shifts as another cloud moves in front of it, but that quickly passes and the beams shine upon the world once more.
A seagull floats upon the air currents, crying out.
Something is happening.
Templar Fefnir glances up at that white bird, the expression on his dark face at ease and his red eyes glimmering with a faint sense of anticipation. From all around him, soldiers patrol the area; technicians are also present, but most prominent are the heavy construction crews with their burly figures and massive loads going all around, here and there, all to complete on project: A base establishing Neo Arcadian dominance.
Hien walks through the Neo-Arcadian sector of San Angeles, along with Mia Peretti. "Listen, Sector 46 has minimal support, aside from patrols. If we come out of the ocean, they won't see a hit coming. I'll show you a map when we get to the command tent. We can totally take it, with the assistance of the seaborne Pantheon."

Josef Holznecht is, at present, helping out those construction guys. He's always looking for something to do, after all. Each of his mighty arms is busied with a bucket of rivets, and he's also carrying under his left, meaty arm some bag of incredibly heavy construction material. All this, and he's amicably chatting with one of the workers next to him, and doesn't look at all inconvenienced by any of this.

Prismatic Spider has arrived.
Sitting down, the rather large assault cannon over his lap, Hibou was assigned here with the Fire Squad. Reloading the many armaments of the cannon for a moment before locking it and then standing, using the cannon to pull himself up. Walking over to Josef, hey he's part of the squad, he motions. "Hey there." The cannon is flung to his back, resting there a bit odd as he walks along. He's hungry, and he couldn't eat the building materials. Direct order and all.
There's alot of people here actually.
Mia nods to Hien, following alongside the Strider and listening intently to his strategic proposal. "We're still going to need a sizable distraction... there's been a lot of irregular scouting in the last week. It would undo a lot of work for them to be tipped off too soon." she points out in an even, business-like tone. She glances out idly over the smattering of Neo Arcadians that presently abound. "As well trained as they are...the pantheon aren't always...subtle." she smirks.
Gus is here. He's actually supposed to have been scouting about the area to get a confirmation on some things he heard about SAPD gatherings, but so far, every survey has turned up empty. He gets the idea that he's missing something, but, for all he knows the Aztlan presence was too strong for others to attempt to get a good hold on the area. He's not on radio equipment duty tonight, so he's just left giving reports to an overseeing officer about the immediate surroundings.

Far above the the collection of Neo Arcadian troops standing guard over the Neo Arcadian controlled Industrial Sector of San Angeles stands a Guardian of Neo Arcadia. Looking down from a building top the Phantom surveys the lands under his protection. The humans that he has pledged to protect from the armed aggression of the Robots. Hmmm...something was wrong. Phantom mused to himself. His instincts were rarely wrong but he could hardly see anything that should make him feel uneasy...yet he did. The Dark General of Neo Arcadia was on full alert, but there was no need to share his concerns with his allies.
All he was acting on was instinct.
The Repliforce and allied attack is a sledgehammer surrounded by multiple scalpels. All along San Angeles, Repliforce feints are being carried out. Small strike teams consisting of no more than a dozen soldiers are making hits throughout San Angeles. Attacking Neo Arcadian picket scouts, trespassing into enemy territory, and then fading back. It's hardly a pinprick to the Aztlan war machine. But with luck it may distract them and cause them to divert resources and troops to other locations.
The trickery of the scalpels will come to an end, however, as the sledgehammer known as the Fortress V begins abruptly begins its movement, lumbering slowly towards the Industrial District. It is impossible to hide this, and Neo Arcadia Command will know about it seconds after it begins.
"All systems are nominal. Weapons, shields, and grappling lines are online, sir," A trooper on the Fortress V's bridge announces. Along with the Fortress V are a swath of troopers, both fast ground based and aerial in nature. They are on the horizon, moving over the broken city. Not even Templar's sea gull can stop them.
You overhear Templar Fefnir mutter to Templar Fefnir: 'That bird ... is this the ulterior motive of symbiosis? Is this voracious piety? Is this ... true love?'.
On the ground itself, moving at the forefront of the Infantry troops moving in toward the Neo Arcadian forces, was a large and golden Reploid. General had opted to not ride in the Fortress Five, for the lumbering giant was often too slow for his own tastes...and it would hopefully boost morale if he was amongst the lesser ranks.
He was shouting out orders as he noticed any stragglers or poorly acting soldiers, yet overall he felt quite proud of these men.
Standing in the hanger bay of the Fortress is Mega Man. Currently armed with his Falcon armor, he intends to change into his well known Mega Man armor once he touches down. He's waiting for the call to go, taking orders from Repliforce in order to acheive the best results.
Inside of the Fortress 5, Iris sits in a dark chamber and watches familiar screens flicker familiar messages.
She does not feel happy about this. Part of her is certain that something, somehow, will go wrong, but there is no way she can not contribute, and for once they cannot just say: Please, Iris, give us your smiles, and that will be enough. Or at least, she won't listen to that.
The Vanguard is sitting in a linear launch catapult aimed at a hatch to the outside world which is, at present, closed. This may change at a moment's notice.
Burn Dinorex is helping to command many of the ground forces, arriving either by foot or in transport hovertrucks. He himself walks, needing no vehicle. He is at the front, leading them, much like General, towards the target site. He and the men are ready to fight. He is a few feet away from General and nods to his leader, before scrunching his eyes forward.
On the outskirts of the area, a small tent had been pitched for one who liked San Angeles for the view. Kim was there, laying on an upheaved rock bleached in the sun, binoculars out looking around at random. Of course, you didn't need binoculars to see Storm Owl or the FV, one of them more so than the other. Still, he was free to watch the blood shed. Like an action flick.
The Fortress V begins its operations. Yes, one can't move the Fortress V and NOT know about it. HOWEVER, the Fortress V has a Companion, moving just to the right of it is a smaller Warship, Valkyrie. It speeds just ahead of it, not nearly using it's full speed. At the moment it's here to provide a second buffer of protection for the Massive Warship until it reaches the direct area. Rush is sitting in the captain's chair overseeing his own operations aswell as sending a message over to the Fortress V, informing them when they will break formation with the massive ship and begin direct engagement.
Rush himself takes a deep breath. This'll be his first operation in the Valkyrie, he hopes it's not his last.
Pantheon 'Storm' Celia Richardson happens to be returning from patrol a few moments before the Repliforce advance. Celia doesn't seem to be feeling her best as the humidity as making her sweat up a storm. Wiping at her face, she calls out to the construction workers and points towards the incoming Heroic Forces with a sweeping arm. It's nothing they can't see already, so 'Celia' isn't giving the Neo Arcadians any information though if they were paying attention to their construction excessively, this might be surprising to the troops who were too busy to glance over into the horizon.
Linnea Blossom is here. You just can't see her. Because she's a ninja.
Linnea is actually near one of the groups of soldiers at the periphery of the attack, hidden in alleys and fallen or half-constructed buildings. She would love to join in the attack, but she has a better plan: wait for their skirmishing members - hopefully White Dragon Striders - to try to get behind or around the main line, whereupon she will jump out and kill them.
Sometimes simple plans are the best.

The Repliforce Ridearmor, Raiden, can be heard as it walks down the streets. It can not be mistaken for something else, because it moves and it's very big, it also has speakers. Piloting this huge beast, is none other than Flame Hyenard, Repliforce anti-PR, corporal and the death of any party, even the Nobel prize ceremonies. Not really, but he has that kind of aura. The monstrosity takes its time as it approaches closer to impact-point. Anyone can hear it as it takes its steps, making the earth shake a little. Not much of a quake, but you can still feel it. For some reason, Raidens speakers are playing classical music, that comes from old times. With vocals nonetheless. "I see, a bad moon rising." Du dudu du du. "I see, trouble on the way." What a wonderful slap bass.
[Radio: (B) RF-Secure] Storm Owl transmits, "Maverick Hunter Alpha will be attempting to sneak past enemy lines to cause havoc. Do not mistakenly shoot her."

Slinking amid the rooftop shadows, a tall and imposing figure makes it's way to the edge of the rooftop outlook he had chosen to watch the 'commencement ceremony'. Dark blue cape billowing about the massive shadow forming a silhouette that covers his form, sharp eyes gazing out from the peak to gauge the success of the opposing forces. His men were doing well, so far, but he knew this little ruse wouldn't last long..things would soon be heating up between the occupying forces and Repliforce, and he was here to make sure lend success to the endeavor. This was what he lived for, and this what'd he'd die for. Battle was everything to him, and today was no different. He was going to enjoy this.. "..."

On the Fortress 5, Prismatic Spider is currently making sure the medical bays are prepared to recieve incoming wounded. Because there's always wounded, this is fricking war. And you wonder why Prism hates war? Nevertheless, a squad of combat engineers and field medics also stand ready, ready to deploy on the Spider's signal to begin the task of retrieving the wounded and lending combat support.
Also in the Fortress Five's Hangar Bay, Steel Massimo holds his lance at his side, looking deep and thoughtful, harsh and angry. No, let's face it, Steel Massimo is tapping one of his big feet, rather enormously nervous. He slowly paces back and forth, waiting for his moment to throw out into the fray. He is ready for this, yes, but he isn't always sure of himself. He glances back and forth from Rock time to time, jealous of his ability to be so calm and ready.
Hien looks up, on the horizon. He was about to respond to Mia, but then he sees a sledgehammer coming. "Oh, Jesus." He casts a sharp glance at Mia. "I need to go. Good luck, honey." He runs off to a nearby building, and fades into the shadows, seeming to vanish as he activates a stealth-grid worn inside his white suit. He creeps up the building with the aid of his grapple, crawling along it. Just like Linnea thought, he's planning on ambushing one of the Repliforcers once the action goes down. With his luck, he'll probably have to fight that ride armor.

Templar Fefnir watches the fluttering bird, admiring its grace as it sails on its out-spread wings when, as he levels his gaze toward the rest of the afternoon sky of San Angeles something happens upon his notice.
... The Fortress Five. Repliforce is here?
His face twists, twin stripes on his cheeks distorting and his expression turning into that of a scowl. Repliforce is indeed here; and from the loks of it, they have /more/ company. What happened to the soldiers? Shouldn't they have kept a lookout?
Fefnir puts his boot up heavily onto a raised area of the platform he is on, his arms moving off to his sides. Both each bear a single gun. The Guardian frowns. Should he let the Repliforce approach without aggression and lull them into false security, or go out, guns blazing?
The answer is obvious to the hot-headed Guardian: Shoot! Let them come! Let them feel the heat of battle! A grin forms on his face. Guardian Fefnir raises one of his guns, cocking it toward the air and firing a flare diagonally. It arcs into the sky, midway exploding into a bright point of bright orange light. "THROW THEM A WELCOME PARTY THEY'LL NEVER FORGET! NOW! NOW!"
[Radio: (B) RF-Secure] Rush Raccoon transmits, "Commander Owl, we are reaching the break-off point in 3 minutes."

Just their luck. Gus quickly chimes in when the Fortress V is heard in the distance (being he hears a little bit better than most the rest of you do), only to find that there are people with reflexes better than his own that beat him to the punch. He only gets as far as "I'm" before he's drowned in radio speak about organizing for battle.
Not like he'd want to sit out of this. Bulletproof is drawn much like any cipher would be, but certainly lacking any luster of justice or any other sort of romanticized concept. He's in it for the money and to make good on an excellent health care plan for whenever the foot troops start coming.
Josef Holznecht curses once Fefnir's howl rumbles across the area, and he breaks off his conversation, hustling forward to drop off his rivets and Stuff. "Ho! Finally, a chance for sahme action!" The big man crouches down to let the load off, then turns and heads toward where his squad leader is, wheeling his right elbow. "Hrrah!" With his shout, the Universe Engine keys up to battle generation, and 'veins' in his cyborg arm begin to glow bright blue. Three boxes on the arm click, and then expand out into the thick shielding plates. "Cahm, robotten!"
Ciel is still in Neo Arcadia, sillies.
The Phantom narrows his eyes as he hears reports of Repliforce incursions and finally...the sight of the Fortress V lumbering through the horizon. And so the Repliforce has mobilized to strike at the brave heroes of Neo Arcadia. So be it then, the Phantom shall deliver death to them all! Summoning his shuriken glider, the Phantom activates his stealth equipment and flies down ready to launch a ninja ambush!

Mia raises her brow at hien and glances off to locate whatever it was that set him off. She then barks out an abrupt phrase in greek before bolting into the nearest tent with the case she's carrying. She needs the rest of her kevlar on, she's pretty certain about that. Moments later she's darted back out into the open with her harpoon launcher loaded slung heavily over her back. She's even gone with a green wetsuit just for the occasion. "Okay...who wants some..." she scans for the first target that catches her fancy.
Something is coming. The ground shakes faintly as massive footfalls make their way through the street. Suddenly, a roar echoes through the streets, a roar that has never been heard by any San Angeleno before... indeed, by no human ever before.
The footfalls grow louder, the sound of rubble crushed between three-toed claws on a creature that weighs as much as a loaded semi. Another roar cuts through the streets, and then it is visible.
Forty-five feet long, the grey-scaled creature pads down the street on two massive legs, its gigantic head held low, sniffing the air. From its body, two small claws hang on tiny arms, almost an afterthought. Behind, a heavy tail balances its body. The mouth of the beast is filled with massive teeth, each as long as a man's hand.
This creature hasn't walked the earth in more than sixty million years.

Biomonster <Tyrannosaurus rex>
An ancient creature given life once more by the science of Neo Arcadia, Tyrannosaurus rex is every bit as imposing as you were led to believe by movies and children's books. Forty-five feet long and tall enough to stare into a second-story window, this was the undisputed king of the dinosaurs: even his name means tyrant lizard king. A long tail undulates behind the body of the beast, which stands on two powerful legs with three-toed claws, a fourth toe pointed backwards, almost an afterthought. His arms are tiny, two-clawed and largely vestigal, though they seem functional enough if it was possible to bring them to bear. The main weapon of this beast is its head, however. Long and powerful, easily able to bite a man in two, its lined with razor-sharp serrated teeth, lined up like knives in its slavering maw. Two eyes are fixed forward, vision sharp but not the primary way it hunts. Its nose is always sniffing, highly-developed nostrils always scenting the air, sniffing out prey.
This Tyrannosaurus bears the signs of its modern rebirth, though the visual difference is the only one striking. Its pebbly scales are grey, mottled in different shades that help it to hide amongst the stone and mortar of its new environment, the ruined streets of San Angeles. What further modifications it must have are an exercise for the masochistic... do you really want to get that close?

Although not visible to human eye, not visible to those in San An, a storm is coming. This storm comes in the form of a large green bird, commonly known as the Lighting God - Quetzalcoatl. Its pilot is pushing the craft past the limit, shooting though the air at the speed of a bullet. Unlike Raiden, however, Quetzalcoatl's classical music is played only for the pilot, and no one else.

[Radio: (A) RF-Chat] General transmits, "Miss Blossom, have you forgotten that there are numerous big and stupid things already in existence that have proven dangerous to fight?"
[Radio: (A) RF-Chat] Linnea Blossom transmits, "Yeah, but they didn't die out in the first place. I know damn well it's not /harmless/, I'm not stupid."
Being alerted to the new comers, Hibou turns towards those coming closer. Well. It's hard to miss an army. Looking towards the large amount of entree's on the battle, Hibou decides to skip the appetizers. The ones he's already tasted. That's hardly an interest.
The warship causes him to look up, hat falling off his head as he bends down for a moment to pick it up. As it is pulled up, Hibou catches his eye on something. The large golden form of General, the beacon for Justice and Repliforce. Such things were important, but that was the LARGEST meal he has ever set his mind on.
Being shaken from the movement of the T-Rex, Hibou stares at for a moment before doing what he has to. He loosens his belt a bit. He's going to need the space.
Raising the assault cannon, Hibou attempts to cause General a bit of pain. The barrel spinning a few times before a few shots are fired as it warms up. Hey. It's just beginning.

Battle calls for the humans. When the reploids attack, NA's San Angeles operations were thrown into upper turmoil. The many pronged assault initiated by the Repliforce has keyed off several of the Human Regime's key military advisors to keep a look out for any sort of overt attack.
Their anticipation has paid off. The massive attack on the Industrial hold has made Arcadia sent its best and finest to push back the vile reploids. Over the roar of the dinosaur (a grand accomplishment of the geneticists) and the explosions of battle, a tall figure in skeleton white bone armor emerges from the base of operations.
President Elpizo, crowned by the golden mane of his hair, overlooks the battle with an esteemed grace. It's time for battle. Like Napolean, the Human Revolutionary rushes out to the battle front, eager to fight with his men.
On the Fortress V's view screen, currently serving as a window facing forward, the bridge crew can see a bright fiery orange flash of light. "They've seen us..." one of the stationed crew mechs mutters, pointing out the blindingly obvious. Another, more useful Repliforcer announces, "Valkyrie has signaled it will be breaking off in 3 minutes."
Storm Owl, sitting in his command chair, taps several buttons on his armrest mounted computer. "There are advanced reports of something unidentified in the region near the Neo Arcadian camp, traveling through the streets. Grid... zero three two. Put that up on the main viewer."
Owl looks up in time to see the view screen now showing what appears to be- "-Is that Barrage Raptor?" The same idiot crew mech from before asks. Storm Owl frowns, recognizing the Tyrannosaurus Rex as it silently roars. Doesn't look much like a scavenger to him.
"All forces, this is Commander Owl. Deploying troops... now." That's Rock, Iris, and everyone else's cue to get on out there.
They're meeting the enemy. Iris's eyes close as she takes a deep breath and lets it out. One minute, the voice of Storm Owl says.
She runs one more check over all the systems to make sure that the systems that failed on Mars after so much abuse and wear are now fully functional. She also says a little prayer to whoever might be listening.
Then she sits back and waits for about twenty seconds. They seem much longer, and then the Vanguard jerks forwards as the deployment hatch opens and the electric catapult fires. The Vanguard tumbles through midair for several moments before its wings deploy, and it swoops downwards towards the battered and wounded city.
[Radio: (D) Joint-Chat] Storm Owl transmits, "All forces, this is Commander Owl. Deploying troops... now."
Linnea Blossom deactivates her stealth mode.
The crew 'Celia (not Alpha)' warned run to position after setting down the equipment they were setting up. Celia watches after them, and looks at the dinosaur. Celia whistles. That's some dinosaur. Then, turning, Celia reaches into her pocket and tosses a rock from within to the ground thoughtfully. The rock lands nearby, but doesn't make any weird noises. She then turns and heads for the more structured areas of the Neo Arcadian base, perhaps to join the defensive wall to impede the Repliforce advance!
Colonel's eyes scan the area once more, this time relieving his men of his weighty gaze to focus on something much more attention getting. No more than a few seconds after he hears the shrieking of a projectile ripping through the air, does he see a bright explosion occur none too far from his person, splitting the air with a violent blaze. He squints his optics partially closed, his sight momentarily obscured by the light. "..Rrrr..what was that..and where the hell did it come from?" Not being able to immediately find the perpetrator, he decides to move closer to street level and try to engage anything he can turn into scrap. Leaping from the rooftop, he begins to leap swiftly from ledges, steel beams, and anything else he can use to get closer and get a better visual, his cape violent splashing about him like ocean waves amidst a hurricane's wind.
General moved across the terrain, his heavy feet crushing into it with slight shudders, and his face was somewhat shaped up to look as serious as it possibly could. The moustache twitched slightly as the T-Rex arrived on the scene, his steps faltering and finally ceasing. "Those pompous idiots, they're trying to disrupt the entire eco-system," General muttered, his head shaking from side to side for a moment in obvious disapproval.
Then his systems registered damage on his body, and there upon his chest was a smoking little hole which had been caused by the cannon that Hibou had opted to fire. General looked down at it, and then toward Hibou, and finally he began to move toward the direction of the Neo Arcadian. "Let's roll out, Repliforce!" he roared back toward his men, the infantry that had been nearest to him letting loose their own war crys as they charged forward to try and handle any Neo Arcadian opponents they could locate.
As General continued his dash toward Hibou he lowered his right hand down toward the ground, the fingers crushing into the surface and digging down lower and lower. General lifted the hand up, a large chunk of the ground held within his grip, and so it was that General cast that toward Hibou.

As Owl deploys the troops, X looks to Massimo. "Let's go, Massimo." He nods to the larger reploid, before exiting the hangar, transforming into his Mega Man mode as he touches down. He moves straight for the nearest cover, but the TRex grabs his attention for several moments.
Umbra Phantom deactivates his stealth mode.
After having gotten the clear on attack, Flame Hyenard spies on many views of possible interception. Anything can happen. He flips Raidens arms up and yells out. Shrieking through the speakers, scaring human ears, letting himself go. Raiden picks up the pace as it moves now forward, recklessly through the streets, breaking down more debris. The music is now gone and have been taken over by the sound of mechanics.
Burn Dinorex leads his men, the fires in his back erupting into existance all the way down to his tail. He roars to match the biological t-rexes. He might have to show his ancestor that it's too old for this world. As the troops rush forward to split into different attack squads and assault the base with all their weaponry, Burn runs forward, down the street, towards the originator of the evil sound, and opens his mouth, spitting a red-hot fireball at the fleshy dinosaur's head. He's going to try and divert it's attention away from the other soldiers, since they could be eaten by it quite easily, and Burn must fulfill his role as Protector.

Linnea Blossom is still on, as they say, Strider Patrol. She is only /marginally/ distracted by the giant dinosaur, perhaps because she is in a location she cannot get a good look at it; it would probably be way more impressive if there were not buildings and such in the way. Not seeing any at the moment, she scrambles up a nearby building with nothing more than her feet, hands, and tiny barbs in the fingertips of the gloves. She can get a better look from up here.
Massimo runs for the bay doors as they begin to open. He lets out a mighty bellow, arms outward. He holds his lance out in his hands, pointing it upwards! "Neo Arcadians! I have returned to San Angeles! And on this day, this moment, I will give the land back its rights! They have the freedom to choose their government! The freedom of life! The freedom of liberty! The freedom of... FREEDOM! Free from the tyranny of you hateful armies!" Massimo crashes down into the asphalt, lowering into a crouch and making an enormous dent in the ground before he stands himself upright again.
"For I am THE STEEL MASSIMO!" Dramatic trumpet music plays.
Rush Raccoon can only look in amazement from the Bridge of the Valkyrie as a massive Dinosaur, no less, parades around San Angeles, lovely. But the folks down there have it in hand. A Crewman informs Rush they have reached the break-off point. He sends a message to the F5 and the Valkyrie begins to pick up some speed, in fact a LOT of speed. This thing is defiantly fast as it quickly gains it's postion right over the advancing forces. "Put more power on the bottom shields, and prepare to fire downwards at Neo Arcadian forces." he states. the Ventral Ion Cannon begins charging.. Missile Launchers ready, and Laser Batteries and Rail Cannon Batteries power up. This thing is loaded to bear. Soon Lasers have begun to rain down on Neo Arcadian forces loosely! In the meantime, Rush looks back on the viewscreen, seeing a nice little Holographic image of the going ons, and hey look, a link up the bridge of the F5, too.
Blues has arrived.
As reports filter back to the Spider Scientist, his eyes widen in astonishment. "What the..." He sighs, and gestures. Triage is ready, it's time for the messy part. "Let's go, folks. It's time to get a move on!"
Prismatic and the squad head out of the medbay, towards the docking bay in order to deploy into the midst of the battle.
The primeval roar of a creature back from a 65 million year intermission shakes the very air, resonating throughout the Industrial District, and, more importantly, through Fefnir's ears.
The Dragon looks upon the reptilian ancestor, his crimson eyes widened in pure /awe/ at the work of Ciel. He'll need to make sure to feed her her Scientist Snacks today for this ... and now, the Guardian is grinning from ear-to-ear as he steps up fully onto the platform, crouching and executing an enormous leap (albeit augmented by shooting himself downward) far enough so that he lands on top of the assailed Tyrannosaur's back. He roars from the top: "NEO ARCADIA! WE HAVE THE ANCIENT ONES ON OUR SIDE! FIGHT! FIIIIIGHT!"
The Fire General lifts up Sodom; the view from here is pretty good. Even so he spots Mega Man descending onto flat ground - "What? Hold there!" Pointing the same gun down, he unleashes a screaming blast of dragon-fire. "BYAK! BYYAK!"

Interception is key for getting the upper hand in any battle.
President Elpizo spots a large figure leaping from roof top to roof top. The man narrows his visible eye, and he leaps up into the air with the assistance of his dash jets. The President lands on the rooftop leaving spider cracks spread out all around him. He smiles coldly at Colonel while gripping his two unignited saber hilts, "So, we meet again Colonel. I had wondered when you would eventually show your face to a battle, once again.."
Hidden panels on the sabers are slightly depressed, making the crystal bases of the hilts expand with energy and eventually extend to their full blade lengths, "I hope you enjoyed your last vacation..."
A whirl of blades and energy rush forward towards the reploid officer. It's nothing too complex, but certainly nothing an amateur could handle.

And so General grew close. Not only close. But close enough to launch a large chunk of Debris as Hibou attempted to move out of the way. A fat man fleeing and large ground do not do well together. Unable to make it out of the way, Hibou is gone.
Squish. Pulling himself out from under it, bloodied and bruised already, Hibou looks up at the large figure. Well. This wasn't going so well. Apparently larger isn't necessarily easier to knock over. As General dashed forwards, Hibou dashed forwards as well. He was just going to get the taste in now before he would be smashed into the ground.
He was planning to savor it, but it looks like he'll have to have other plans. Opening his mouth wide, Hibou attempts to do even a mosquito's worth of damaged, and chew, bite, and maybe even bore into General's leg.
This .. could be a bad thing in retrospect, him clinging to it and biting. He's going to be a pasted spot after this.

Mia gets a very set look about her as she begins to fire off four foot projectiles at anything and everything that moves that she can clearly identify as non-human. Every firing of the harpoon launcher throws her back several feet, forcing her to readjust as she reloads.
Josef Holznecht barrels forward as everyone touches down, barreling right past anyone who may be between him and the target he was more or less ordered on: Steel Massimo. "Ha! Do you see hordes of men strahggling against us? We are freeing the people ahf this city from you rotten Robotten!" The Austrian jumps up at Massimo as he nears, right arm raised with blue energy billowing around his hand. He comes down at Massimo with a powerful chop, a flare of energy, and a challenging bellow.
Umbra Phantom having received the coordinates of Hien's location, the Dark General of Neo Arcadia swoops down upon Hien and swings an arm out picking up the Psycho Strider by the wrapping his powerful arm around the Striders chest and flying upward - heading straight for the Fortress V.
"Hien," Phantom says. "...We shall go into the heart of the enemy's fortress and strike at them!"
And the ninja duo fly towards the FV's hangar bay.

[Radio: (A) RF-Chat] Burn Dinorex transmits, "I will need assistance with the dinosaur."
The tyrannosaurus roars as the blast hits it face, flames sizzling off its skin, singing around its delicate nose. This, more than anything, pisses the rex off. It glares at Burn Dinorex, a clear hungry gaze in its eyes as it starts to stomp towards the so-called protector of Repliforce. There's no intellect here... just raw animal instinct. It has been attacked, and it sees a meal and a rival. It will defend itself.
It doesn't object as Fefnir leaps to its back, but nor does it stop, charging towards the other dinosaur and trying to take a giant bite from him, roaring in challenge before moving in to attack.
Hien, stealtehd atop the roof, stands up as Umbra comes down to him. He grins beneath his stealth-grid as he's scooped up, sailing off towards the FV. "Wheee! I'm flying!" he exclaims, only visible to the trained eye as something...Not right with the skyline.
[Radio: (D) Joint-Chat] Burn Dinorex transmits, "If anyone can assist me with the dinosaur, it will be appreciated."
From the side lines, it seems the violence was already getting underway. Awesome. Kim continues to lay across the rock, looking from side to side with his binoculars. What a view from here. Each side seems to have been pulling out the stops here and now, and that might be a good thing, because bragging you've seen one of the biggest fights of the century is a good thing. Still, Bino's front, eyes watching.
[Radio: (D) Joint-Chat] Prismatic Spider transmits, "I'm coming to back you up, Burn."
It doesn't take long for the fog (or in Gus' case, fogHORN) of war to set in. Slowly drawing the Pantomime FTP in his right hand, his approach into the battlefield remains slow when he gives the front lines as close a look as he can for anything off. Anybody sneaky getting by?
This gets cut short when the Vanguard seems to be flying down at a sharp angle that may include him in it unless he gets out of the way, and he does just that, leaping into a back roll, ending in him pointing the low-yield silent pistol towards the side of the giant purplish nightmare. He's not aiming very carefullly.

Burn Dinorex reacts too late, and his arm is literally torn off by his biological other. He roars in pain, mechfluid shooting from the socket. Also now angered, Burn opens his mouth and blasts a wall of fire at the t-rexes front, the flames taking shape as it rushes forward. It's more deadly than he anticipated.

It appears! Bursting though the clouds in a barrel roll, the Quetzalcoatl speeds into the area. It does quite a few barrel rolls, it's engine roaring off as it speeds over the troops of Neo Arcadia and to the front lines. Under the bird, a large missile starts to drop down, and then it falls out of the TA, activating in midair as it rushes it's way towards Ride Armor Raiden. The TA itself starts to barrel roll up into the sky as the missile launches, trying to avoid getting caught in melee combat.

Raiden tries to shield itself as best it can, so does the pilot. After almost pressing every button there is, Flame have charged up the arm cannon, ready to fire. It comes handy as he shouts, "I'LLLPERSONALLYBURNYOUTOTHEGROUNDAFTERTHIS!!BULLOCKS!!" he yells as the RA takes it's aim at the TA.

Celia who is totally not Alpha, places a rock down by the Pantheon Soldier before firing a small energy pistol vaguely in the direction of Repliforcer troops. She doesn't seem to be a good shot as she fails to hit anything in the mass. As the Neo Arcadians continue their counterattack, Celia places two more rocks down by the enemy formation.
'WHat're you doing anyway?' A Fire Squad member demands.
'My grandmother taught me this way of setting up a protection field with rocks. If I put these here, we will survive.'
'Huh, never pinned you as the mystical type.' The soldier goes back to firing as 'Celia' falls back towards the Neo Arcadian outpost building proper.
Lands deftly upon solid concrete, regaining his balance as reaches a lower vantage point, his cap splashing down around him as he lands, squatted lowly with his knuckles touching the ground beneath his feet. "..." He stood slowly, regaining his former erect, steeled posture. Momentarily distracted by his thoughts, he seems surprised by Elpizo's approach. Though certainly /not/ pleasantly. The whirring blades cut him, though only slightly, as he makes a deft leap away from the impending threat. "..You.." He chuckles. "You've just mad the biggest mistake of your life.." With that, he lashes out at his with his side with his arm buster, tossing his cape from his arm, and igniting a blood red saber from it. With that, he charges, rushing towards Elpizo with blazing speed, his saber at the ready. "Fool!!" He then stops short of Elpizo, and lashes out at him with his saber in a violent whirl of lightning fast precision cuts.

X can't keep his eyes off of the dinosaur, but he does spot Templar Fefnir atop the beast. As the fire Guardian fires at him, he's unable to evade it, too distracted by the dinosaur. The shot strikes his back, leaving a sizable burn mark. Choking back a cry of pain, he turns to face Fefnir and the TRex, taking careful aim so as not to strike the dinosaur by accident. Last thing needed is a dinosaur on a panicky rampage.
The pistol firing at the Vanguard goes completely unnoticed. This is not so much due to any particular animus against the firer of the weapon as it is that there are a bunch of other people with the same idea. The Vanguard's heavy armor spangs and clangs but remains basically intact.
However, that large weapon is a problem. The Vanguard descends towards Mia Peretti and her hand-held artillery weapon, Iris looking confused inside of the machine's cockpit at the weapon's design. She also struggles briefly with the guilt of firing on what even now does appear to be an unarmored human. It's wrong -

And so is a war of conquest. A port on the shoulder of the Vanguard opens and a pair of fist-sized flashing bombs descend towards Mia, aiming to land on either side of her and batter her with explosive force rather than a direct impact. Old habits die hard.

The Fortress V's view screen returns to an image of the overall battle. Storm Owl watches as Burn fights against the Neo Arcadian behemoth of a monster. Hopefully this is not the start of a trend with Neo Arcadian war machines, as the way it chomped down on Burn Dinorex's arm and rips it off does not bode well for Repliforce. Thankfully, Prismatic Spider will be assisting and might be able to turn the tides.
Meanwhile, the Fortress V finishes deploying its troops, although some are still hovering around, patrolling. At this point, there is little the FV can do but take potshots at any large clusters of Neo Arcadian troops. Several aerials patrolling the ship, however, are unaware of Hien and Phantom. The two Neo Arcadians will feel a tingle as they pass through the FV's shields. This definitely /will/ be detected by the FV.
General had proven successful in his attempt to crush Hibou beneath some random dirt, stone and potentially pavement. Yet as he had continued forward the Neo Arcadian had dashed toward the gigantic Reploid as though eager to meet his doom. General then cried out in surprise as Hibou latched onto his leg with his teeth and started gnawing his way through the thick armor.
"Good Light, first you make Templar Fefnirs, then you make dinosaurs and now Ciel is converting Neo Arcadians into robo-mosquitoes?" General asked, as he calmly reached down with his hand and attempted to shove Hibou down off the leg...and into the ground. With his palm. Or as the crazy games would have it, Falling Crushing Palm Hand Descent...or some such.

From the docking bay, Prismatic leaps out above the massive Fortress 5, tusking his limbs in as he twirls down into the chaos of the battle. The rest of the engineering squad does so as well, though they use deployment harnesses to split off and drop into locations along the front, pulling critically injured from the lines and returning them to the Fortress, as well as applying spot-repairs to those who are salvagable.
Prismatic himself sails out farther, before limbs snap out, rods extending and attatching to nothing at all. The arc of descent changes dramatically, as Prismatic flips along, dropping down towards the massive dinosaur. A hand whips out, describing a wide arc as he passes by the beast, a long, thin wire lashing out from his arm and following the same path... And at the speeds that the Spider is traveling, the lash might sting a bit. "The dinosaurs went extinct for a /reason/, Neo-Arcadia!"

Mia notes the Vangaurd descending towards her and makes the split decision to fire directly at it rather than abandon her weapon and use the extra second afforded to her to dodge. Once she's pulled the trigger she does lurch forward and roll, attempting to put some distance between herself and the concussive force but failing in the effort. She's thrown onto her face several meters away where she rises quickly, begining to fumble for the pipe-like object she's drawn from her belt mid-roll.

The mighty manly man Massimo takes the chop. And you know, it hurts. It makes a big searing gash over his armor. His mighty fist pulls back in return. "Yea, well, you are a big jerk! I am a cyborg! I am THE Cyborg! I am The Steel Massimo!" He returns the blow with a right hook of his own, bearing down the mighty knuckles at Josef. "And there are people struggling against you! The good people of this city who don't want your tyranny!"

Linnea Blossom is still up there. She is still doing very little.
The Valkyrie continues it's assault with lasers down on Neo Arcadian NPC Forces down below! Most likely sending them aflury. Theres some fire back and it hits the shield's, begining to drain it, as Rush sits tight in his Captains chair, watching the carnage from the ship. This is going well so far, he orders the rail cannons to be firing at the structure being constructed, this is likely to help weaken it's structural integrity!
Blues has left.
As the Quetzalcoatl takes a hit from the plasma attack, it wobbles back and forth and surges with electricity. After that, however, it flies like normal again, charging back at Raiden, only this time to come beside it, and spin round and round... Spin round round baby right round, like a record baby ro-*BRICKED*. If successful, the Raiden may find itself in a whirlwind of nothing but spin spin and spin.

Elpizo reels back from the saber slash that leaves a trail of scorched armor and a smell of singed flesh across his chest. He, despite Colonel's reaction, does look pleasently surprised. "Well! I have not had someone do that much damage to my persona in quite a long time!" The President tosses the sword in his right hand into the air and balls the free hand into a fist.
"A challenge well met!" Elpizo swings towards Colonel's face.

[Radio] Tightbeam transmission: Sewa says, "Neo Arcadia is talking about Umbra and Hien dropping inside the FV."
[Radio] Tightbeam transmission to Sewa: You say, "Understood."
Long distance to Umbra Phantom: Storm Owl nods and will have Rush help.
The fireballs subside, and Fefnir no longer presses the trigger of the massive implement of war. He snaps his head aside; it's hard to move on a truely massive animal that is also moving so he gets shot square in the chest. "Ugh!" The Neo Arcadian slides back from the impact, his white-gloved hands grasping roughly onto any surface of the creature's scaley hide.
He hangs there for a moment, even as it's imminent that the monster would rear back in surprise at the encroaching flames and whips. Pressing his helmed head against its side, Fefnir can feel the very pulse of the living being - enormous muscles shifting from underneath the thick layer of skin. Finally, the Fire General climbs back on top of the reptile's back and aims the other of his guns toward Rock. "Rrk ... Mega Man! You again! Hahahaha!" Securing himself, the Guardian launches even huger blasts, plumetting at high speeds toward the Blue Bomber. The recoil jerks his arm back some.
And...if you think that the Neo Arcadian's are out of surprises you're DEAD WRONG! Seven medium sized buildings taken over by the Neo Arcadians suddenly lose their facades and reveal themselves for what they are. Five Laser Cannon batteries and Two Ion Cannon batteries that are wired into the San Angeles power grid. Although these weapons can only have a power output 90% of that of those located upon the Fortress V they still powerful weapons!
These weapons begin homing in on the Fortress V's location and begin the process of warming up. The Laser Cannon's heat up the quickest and start firing upon the Fortress V, although some of these initial shots might be a little off the mark, but the ions are taking their time to acquire a good firing solution.

And then General does indeed swat the fly, the plam prying him off, shoving him to the ground before squashing him. Squish! Again. Laying there, badly wounded after so little, Hibou still plans on fighting. Hey. Why not.
He's not giving up yet. Running back a bit, aiming where he would be able to shove the maximum spray into General, Hibou levels the assault cannon, and locks it to full power rather quickly. It's not going to be pretty, no, and it's probably not going to do much to General, but just the same, Hibou plan on trying, bleeding and beaten nicely in so little time.
He at least got a bite to eat, but he bit off more than he could chew. The cannon whirrs rather quickly, Hibou holding on tight as rather large slugs are pounded off one by one towards General, attempting to at least leave a MARK in the giant of repliforce.

[Radio: (B) RF-Secure] General transmits, "Perhaps it would be best to use the Valkyrie to destroy the Ion Cannons firing on the Fortress Five?"

Josef Holznecht takes Massimo's blow across the jaw, staggering to the side but steadying himself with his right arm. He checks for blood, finds none, and straightens. The big man throws his hair back, and frowns. "Ho, then aren't you even worse? You hahve turned your bahck on your humahnity!" He closes his right fist, the hand issuing a few clicking noises, and takes a step back. The cyberarm comes up, and Josef's hand flies open, two high-caliber bullets flying from his fingers.

Once Phantom and Hien pass through the Fortress V's shields, the Neo Arcadian Guardian knows that the jig is up and no amount of stealthing equipment is going to hide either of them from that. The Phantom weaves his glider around the structure of the Fortress V and the pair finally land in the FV's hangar bay.
"Hien. This where I leave you. Fight with honour..." With that Phantom immediately hops back onto the shuriken glider and heads back outside to finally join the fight!

Gus keeps on the move after making his meager effort against the Vanguard. He does manage to catch a sight of Prismatic Spider dropping down onto the battlefield to take on the T-Rex. It's taking a lot of heat. But who's a bad enough dude to walk up near one of the most fearsome creatures of the distant past and risk being crushed under its gigantic foot in making the advance?
Gus, of course. Going into a dash across the field, he tries to think of a good vector of attack in which to take the Spider down quickly and decisively. When he closes in, the best he can come up with is to take a leap onto the side of the T-Rex's hive and leap off of it in a diving kick, coming in high and fast from Prismatic's right.

Hien lands in the Fortress V hangar bay, his stealth grid deactivating as he draws the Mirror Cipher and the Yang Cipher. The Mirror bursts to life in a glorious white haze, the Yang in a brilliant shimmer of blue. He grins madly as shocked Repliforcers look at him, shouting, "It's KILLING TIME!" He storms forward, his feet falling fast as he slashes at any Repliforcers who try to stop him. He's heading right for the main corridor, looking for a lift to the bridge. His adrenaline is pumping, his heart is beating, and he's ready to have some fun.

The T. rex swallows Burn Dinorex's arm in one gulp as it bites it off, roaring as another blast of flame buffets its body, raising welts along its scaly hide as it staggers with pain. It starts in towards Dinorex again, then the lash hits it from the side. Snarling, it turns towards Prismatic, roaring a challenge at the arachnoid Repliforcer. Then Gus appears, the dinosaur giving a long sniff at him, verifying that he's not a meal... must be some kind of freak accident. Oh well.
The Dinosaur turns back towards its primary prey... apparently it likes eating metal /just fine/. It lunges towards Burn Dinorex, trying to clamp its jaws around the Repliforcer and /twist/.

Massimo reaches up and slaps his massive hands together. He catches the bullets in his mighty hands. That is, he takes the bullets RIGHT in the hand. It hurts. "Turned my back? Aren't you a cyborg too? I have not turned by back on Humanity. YOU turned your back on the planet! You turned your back to all the people of the world! And I can't stand that!" The mighty man waves his hands and begins to rev up his own launchers. He lurches back and THRUSTS his fist forward, punctuating the punch by firing missiles from his wrists.

The harpoon sticks in one of the Vanguard's arm joints, although it quickly reaches up to yank it out.
This puzzles her on some level. They're fighting her with a harpoon gun. Her lips tighten; she wants to scream at the woman to run, to leave, to get away so she won't get hurt, but if there is anything she has been taught, it is that this will be met with a scornful laugh and another attack.
And she doesn't want to put herself in peril again and make them pull away from the objective to rescue her. This is too important for that. But she still can't quite overcome the reluctance - so she instead hops over Mia and fires the jet boot vents on the back of the Vanguard's legs, spraying her with hot, forceful thrust gases.

Repliforce Ride Armor <Raiden> still holds its ground during the weather change of Quetzalcoatl. Raiden takes it's hands onto a building and tries find something it can use. Bricks, debris and scrap, rises down to rubble. Finally, he finds a metal balk to use. "FORE!!!!!" Hyenard screeches through the speakers, which now sound terrible. Not just because of Flame Hyenards yelling but that they might break down any minute. Raiden swings its mighty arms and throws the balk at Quetzalcoatl, in attempt to bring it down.
Colonel leaps away again after unleashing his first attack, the silhouette of his cape dancing on the wind's whisper. His optics squint again, this time into a nasty glare, at his opponent. At Elpizo's comment, Colonel chuckles. "There's more where that came from.." Seeing the saber thrown, he prepares himself for some kind of attack..but any kind of attack except the one Elpizo threw. WHAM! The right hook collides with Colonel's steel jaw, causing him to wince a bit..but not much more than that. Hell, the punch hardly budges him. "..Not bad.." He then draws back with his left arm, leaning towards Elpizo in preperation for another atatck of his own. "..I'll show you a /real/ punch." He then, thrusts his left arm towards his assailant, leaning into the attack as much as he can to do as much damage as possible.

Storm Owl, thankfully, does not think that Neo Arcadia is out of surprises, and thankfully doesn't wind up being dead wrong. "Sir, we have enemy artillery being deployed. They've got a lock," one of the crew mechs announces. As the lights suddenly flicker and the entire ship violently shakes, the trooper doesn't bother announcing that they've been hit. "Moderate damage to the forward-ventral shields."
Storm Owl doens't even have to tell Raccoon to go get 'em. General and Rush already have the idea down pat. "Begin programming up a firing solution with the heavy ion cannons. Let the Valkyrie soften them up. We'll provide the coup de grace."
Another crew mech suddenly calls out, "Shield penetration." Pause. "Intruder alert." An alarm starts blaring inside the FV as a soft, but firm feminine voice announces, "Intruder Alert. Intruder Alert," repetitively. The Repliforcers opposing Hien are either forced to retreat or are cut down. Emergency doors and bulkheads slam shut, trying to keep Hien out. But of course with Hien running, they all shut /just after/ Hien makes it through. Cause doors like that never work. The lifts to the bridge won't work for Hien, but there are always the access ladders and crawlspaces.
Burn Dinorex gets a large chunk taken out of his side, revealing his inner workings, although luckily his sensitive heating core is not seriously damaged. Mechfluid gets everywhere, and Burn moans in pain, now very weak because of the sheer damage. His armor is no match for this monster. But he hopes he can take it down quickly before it can do further damage, even if he's consumed in the process. Burn musters up all his remaining energy, fires erupting all over his body because of his exposed innards, opening his mouth and launching a MASSIVE fireball, striking the t-rex as it smolders and burns at it's feet, then releasing a multitude of smaller fireballs all around it. This is the Grand Fire, two of Burn's mightiest techniques. He will not let this thing turn on the rest of his comrades.

Rush Raccoon has weakened the Structure of the ship using her mighty rail cannons mounted just around the Ion cannon emplacements as one of the Comm officers announce the Fortress V is under attack. Rush has just ordered the Valyrie to turn around and set course of these cannons the Neo Arcadians have as General suggests the Valkyrie might be used to destroy the Cannons. Making it's eay quickly after a turn around, Rush has the idea indeed and begins to order the Dorsal Ion cannon charged as the Ventral one is charged from earlier. Arriving near the Fortress V, it begins to fire at the Ion Cannons and Laser Batteries with it's own Lasers, and a few Missiles from it's numerous tubes. The Ventral Medium Ion Cannon fires off it's powerful burst at the Ion Cannon emplacement. It is indeed softening 'em up.
As Fefnir calls down to him, X looks up. He remains silent, intending to put all of his attention into the matter at hand. As Fefnir fires at him, X manages to avoid some of the blasts, but one strikes him dead on, knocking him to the ground. Rolling to the side to avoid more fire from the Guardian, he manages to get into a crouched position from the roll, and then into a stand. Aiming the Mega Buster up at Templar, it hums for but a moment, before firing a larger than normal energy shot towards him.

Celia, who is n--oh who are we kidding, of course it's Alpha. Alpha tosses one more 'rock' through the frame of the skeleton base and then sends a tightbeam signal to her first bombs.
The construction material that was being lugged around before Repliforce arrived goes up first, blasting shards of metal in a variety of directions. THe inferno is brief but sudden and, well, explosive.
The next three bombs along the Neo Arcadian rank and file detonate simultaneously, the flames of the explosion hitting each other and trapping those in the middle with the concussive force, heat, and flames. The point is to create a hole in the defensive line as well as summon up a fair amount of chaos amongst the Neo Arcadian troops.
Alpha abandons her disguise, flexing out her wings and yawning with her arms as she rapidly blinks away from the skeleton base, not wanting to get caught in her own explosions.
Someone else would have responded with arrogance or an air of uncaring to the attack that Hibou had used in retaliation to being swatted. General was not like those, he was shocked perhaps at how much power this carnivorous mechanical devourer had at his disposal, but he was not about to mock it. Instead he moved his hands toward where the cannon had obviously pounded into and through his body, poking tentatively at the wound to potentially gauge how damaged he was.
"Very impressive," he whispered, perhaps so low that not even Hibou could hear, but then he looked toward the Neo Arcadian as his attention shifted from the fresh injury and back to the fight. A single hand lifted up into the air, and then down it descended with intent to karate chop poor Hibou.

[Radio: (B) RF-Secure] Rush Raccoon transmits, "Shields at 75. Weapons Charged at 50% after the Ion Blast. Charing for Dorsal Blast, recharging Ventral Cannon."
[Radio: (A) RF-Chat] Storm Owl transmits, "Understood. The dinosaur appears heavily damaged, however."
Prismatic Spider recoils as the T-Rex bellows at him. He's not really a wuss, but man, that's a fricking T-Rex! Scrabbling backwards to not get eaten immediately by the beast, Prismatic isn't ready to deal with Gus's blindside attack. Dang ninja.
With a grunt, he is slammed to the side, tumbling and smashing into a nearby wall. The impact puts a decent dent in his side, and he frowns at his assailant, before glaring back at the T-Rex. Idly, he comments to Gus, "I'll be with /you/ in a moment. I have some dinosaur hunting to attend to." Leaping forward, Prismatic flips into the air, somersaulting rapidly through the air about the T-Rex. Flickering lines of iridescent light fall wherever he passes, drawing closer and tighter as he weaves. With a shout, he lands on the opposite side of the T-Rex, making sure to be clear of the tail, as he falls into a kneeling position, and then makes a pulling motion with his hand.
Abruptly, the seething energy webbing pulls tight about the T-Rex. This might sting a bit.

The Ion Cannon teams are rocked by the fire of the Valk, but with solid determination the two teams get back to their grisly work and fire both cannons simultaneously at the ship. Two of the Laser cannons that are too far away from the Valk to get any kind of decent firing solution. The three other laser cannon's however, switch targets to the Valkrie and start firing upon it trying to put it on the defensive.

Linnea Blossom can apparently see Phantom now from her perch up on the building. Probably fortunately, she doesn't know just what happened in there, but she does know a threat when she sees one, now that she /can/.
"HEY!" she bellows, at her top volume - which is actually pretty good. "NINJA BOY! LOOK DOWN!" Linnea waves her Cipher, twisting something on the second hilt. Rather than a bolt of energy, when she swings it, it causes a ripple in the air that wraps around whatever it hits and pinches inward.

Biomonster <Tyrannosaurus rex> is burned again... and webbed! Unable to roar, it falls, landing heavily against the ground, unable to move.
Mechfluid splashes on Hien as he cuts down an unfortunate Repliforcer or two, not waiting around to go for the kill. They're lucky, this time. He laughs as he runs under one bulkhead, before sliding under another, and rolling under the last. "Silly Repliforce, tricks are for kids!" He steps into the lift and notes that it's inoperable. Time to improvise. He looks up, and each Cipher cuts twice, forming a square in the ceiling which drops out. He sheathes his Ciphers and leaps through the hole, grabbing ahold of a ladder and beginning to rapidly climb up. His Strider training shows, as its doubtful if Hien would even need something to climb with if he was hard pressed enough. He keeps an eye out for automated defenses, grinning to himself. Taking down Roshi? Pfah, that could be done! But taking down the Fortress V...Now /there/ is an achievement.
Armor, and maybe some bone, crack beneath Colonel's fist. Elpizo gasps in a moment of pain, and then he glares at the reploid. "Real. You claim your punches are /real/?" A pure coal of hate uncommon in most living beings. "You may physically exist, but by no extent are you truely alive. You are fabricated by the hands of those who choose not to fight their own war!"
Red lines begin to appear on Elpizo's pupil-less ice blue eye. The lines broaden and darken considerably as Elpizo contines, "It is becaues of beings like you is why this war has escalated! It is because beings like you continue to believe you have some other purpose is why this war continues!" The eye has been haloed by a crimson circle and has red fissures that most likley consist of blood.
Elpizo catches the falling sword, and he whrils around with one of his legs in a powerful round house kick aiming for Colonel's back.

The monster falls ...
And so does Fefnir, who is caught in the midst of a violent blast - enough to send him sailing backward, parts of his armor falling off with a clatter against the floor as he impacts into a nearby building. He falls, finally, onto his back and skidding on the asphalt painfully. His chestplate has been cracked off, and one of his legs hang limply. From his mouth he coughs a mist of blood and staggers back up on his one remaining leg.
He sees the remains of the Tyrannosaur ... and looks crestfallen for a moment. But then:
"... I wonder it tastes like! BARBEQUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Grunting, flames spring up from around his whole body - he raises both of his guns into the air whilst trying to keep his balance - shooting an enormous hail of descending balls of flame.

Josef Holznecht jumps aside as Massimo punches at him, right hand wheeling up to /catch/ the launched missile. Josef spins with the path of the missile, describing a neat arc in the air with its exhaust. "I ahm tired of Robotten superiority on this planet! I have not turned my back on the people, I ahm giving them something to STRIVE for! Perfection!" He then throws Massimo's spent missile right back at him, which is really awesome, trust me. Josef is slightly distracted after, however, staring over at the big exploding stuff going on Over There. "Herr Fefnir!"

The skeletal frame of the base, meanwhile, shudders only slightly at the thrown rock. Construction workers and soldiers, all distracted by the mayhem unfolding, have left the premises to focus on what the hell to do. It's only a matter of time ...
The Quetzalcoatl puts on an emergency boost system, avoiding the debris by flipping in a circle, just avoiding the metal. It then, however, reaches down to the bulk of metal, grabbing it in its sharp talons and taking it to the sky. It then /charges/ right at Raiden with the metal bulk, letting go of the debris as it takes off to the sky yet again, barrel rolling like mad. If Raiden doesn't move, the bulk will slam into it at a high speed, much faster then just throwing it.

Phantom is flying back to the battle when suddenly he feels himself almost being jerked off his shuriken glider, and then he notices the gravity wave - somebody is attacking him. That and they announced themselves by screaming at the top of their lungs. The Shinobi leaps off his glider rolling into a ball just before he lands as to absorb any damage and faces an enemy strider.
"Nin!" Phantom draws a kunai from one of his thigh belts and throws it at Linnea's chest. "Don't get in my way!"

Mia is operating on automatic, judging by her intent yet vacant expression. The aquatic e-human darts to the left through the open street as the vanguard dips too low for her comfort. She leaps onto what used to be a waste receptical and bounds off it into the ledge of a window, which she grips with her free hand. With the other hand she shakes the pipe and it extends out several feet in both directions, tipping itself off on both ends with a long, thin blade. There's no arrogance in her methods, nor a lot of pointless talk. Her aim is to ground the reploid, pure and simple. She launches herself off the side of the building in an attempt to land on or close to the Vanguard, pike first.

Upon his landing, Gus is first treated to the T-Rex sniffing at him. He helpfully points towards Prismatic instead, who happens to be near a wall Post-Ninja-Kicking, and takes a step back for safety. The ground being set aflame follows (and good thing Gus stepped back, otherwise that would've cooked him too). Prismatic Spider gets all condescending with him. "You misunderstand."
Alas, the scientist gets off his dinosaur-slaying technique and leaps just above Gus who happens to be going for him again in a decidedly straightforward, ungraceful lunge. The T-Rex falls, and Gus turns around looking to give Prismatic what for... until, unseen to him, a fireball goes stray and slams into Gus, knocking him back into a tumble a small distance with his clothing on fire. It made a real wicked swerve in the air, as otherwise he would've had the sense to move out of the way.
The pike digs into another joint between armored plates; these chinks in armor are unfortunately neccessary for mobility, even if they seem, at times, to only attract the enemy's blows.
Iris does not feel quite as charitable now. One hand sweeps down to try and pluck up the small Neo-Arcadian as the Vanguard starts gaining altitude.
Iris closes her eyes, presses her lips together tightly, and shifts one of the controls forwards - to try to throw Mia down towards the pavement.

Burn Dinorex stops as the dinosaur is felled. "You have my sincerest gratitude, Prismatic," suddenly his head snaps out, and he shouts, "LOOK OUT!", shielding his face with his remaining arm, but is engulfed in the fires, simply unable to stand up to them. He falls, eyes darkened, not dead, but just barely. Doing a konga line with Death is part of the job, though. The troops he commands press on, regardless.
Massimo believes it was cool. That is because he gets HIT IN THE CHEST WITH IT. That's cool, right? Anyways, Massimo grunts, stepping back with the blow. "Perfection? By killing their friends? By pushing tyranny on the world? By destroying cities?!" The great reploid falls backwards, throwing his hands against the ground. He grunts as his hands crack under his weight. But he throws up his legs at Josef, feet outward. "You shall fall under the might of..."

Colonel withdraws his fist, and stares at the hateful human..growing steadily less patient by the moment. "Cut the crap." He scoffs, and grins at the hint of pain displayed by the weak and disgusting flash-bag. "You can have your philosophies..frankly, I don't care. The only definition of life I possess is the lust for battle. War /is/ my life, and as sure I fight you..I am alive. I am aware of my purpose..and I've not resisted it from the moment of my conception. With every fiber of my being..I am a soldier. I am a war machine. The sight of you is bane to me..you're an earache and an eyesore." Then a surprised look, as the kick collides with his back, causing him to whirl around in confusion. "..Eh..?"
"Intruder is moving upwards through the access corridor. Corridor Alpha eighteen-B. No question, sir. He's coming for the bridge." There's suddenly a lot of worry on the bridge. Storm Owl nods and stands up from his command chair even as the ship rocks again under heavy fire of the 2 ion and laser cannons. "Transfer main control of the ship to engineering." Storm Owl's had to do this twice before, and both times it worked well. "Have then focus power to the shields to give the Valkyrie more time to deal with those turrets." Storm Owl raises his Cyclone Cannon. It begins to hum.
"Bring the internal defenses online in corridor Alpha eighteen-B." Walls suddenly slam shut above Hien in the corridor, blocking his path to the bridge. The walls are very strong and thick, and Hien is definitely screwed... unless he can somehow... I dunno, cut his way through. With something... used for cutting. Like a sword.
As Templar Fefnir litters the area with a rain of fire, X keeps an eye on the flames. Trying to dodge between them, some manage to strike his head and shoulders, while the splash of others singe his legs. By the end of the barrage, his body is smoking, covering in singes and burn marks. Gritting his teeth and holding back cries of pain, he tries to remove the cinders still clinging to his form. Eyeing the fallen dinosaur for signs of movement, he moves away from Templar Fefnir, and fires a single shot towards him.

The bulk is caught by Quetzalcoatl, skillfully. It makes a turn in its course and charges at Raiden. As the Neo Arcadian TA comes close, Raiden flips up one of it legs, trying to stop the TA dead in it's tracks, by kicking the cockpit. But that is not all, don't forget to add booster fire!

Linnea Blossom is still hanging on a building with one hand, although she starts to scramble back down to follow Phantom, landing just in time to catch a knife with her torso. Ripping the knife out of her shoulder with her free hand, Linnea angrily tosses it aside. "Agh! You make me sick," she growls, stabbing with her Cipher at Phantom even though she's not close enough to actually connect. Another ripple of gravitonic force lances out, this one trying to pin him against the ground so that he can't rise.

The Valkyire proceeds to fire at the cannons, keeping it up as the Dorsal Ion Cannon just finishes charging up.... when the Cannons finally begin to notice the Valkyrie! Crap! Lasers hit the shield, depleting the Shields down more as the Valkyrie begins manuevers to evade fire, which prevents some shots from hitting it, but a few still do. While moving Rush can't get the kinda lock or position he needs to fire the Dorsal Cannon and the Ventral is still Charging, for now he settles for firing Lasers at the Cannons and Rockets at it's positions as he awaits for a better position for the Dorsal Ion Cannon or the Venteral Cannon to finish charging..
Prismatic stands, turning with a satisfied smile on his face as the T-Rex is put down. "We have enough problems without Ciel resurrecting ancient extinct predatorial species."
No one really cares what Prismatic thinks, though. Especially not Fefnir, who decided to set the yes on fire. As the fire descends, Prismatic shouts in pain, armor hissing and steaming off, his refractors cracking slightly from the rapid temprature increase. As the flames die down, Prismatic can be seen gaping, his body shuddering in the searing pain... But he has bigger things to worry about, as Burn Dinorex falls. With a flare of light, the dying flames are pushed back as a shining barrier of light forms around him. "It's not... over... yet."

Alpha ends her blink-escape when she feels she's far enough away to 'Not Die (tm)'. She sends a tightbeam communique to the 'rock' and it explodes since it's really a bomb like the other rocks. This may destroy the already weakened structure. Alpha notices the Valkyrie seems to be dealing with the other buildings, Alpha decides to get some real combat practice in. Floating upwards, Alpha flies for the, uh, Neo Arcadian Terrain Armor with the really complicated name.
Alpha raises a hand, the synthflesh peeling back as she fires quick energy bursts towards the Terrain Armor's body, intending to distract it from the giant mecha. They're nothing major.

Hien boots down the lift door, and steps into Corridor Alpha 18-B. Then, the doors slam down. Hien smirks at this. "I'm a Strider, punks!" he shouts. Swords? No way. Despite what people say about Hien's brains, he's got plenty of them, and has been trained quite well by Sheena. Screw the Sisters. He reaches to his belt and pulls out a quartet of small objects, his eyes gliding over the bulkhead blocking his way and rapidly analyzing the mechanisms that control the obstacle. He's nothing if not resourceful. He places the small objects at each of the four weakpoints he identifies, three along the top and one along the bottom, before backflipping twice and getting clear. The charges are directional, so he doesn't have to worry about the blast, but shrapnel might hurt.
He taps his belt-buckle.

The blood fissures in the President's eye converge on one point, where the pupil is supposed to reside. A red circle appears in the center, spreading out until it is roughly the size of what a normal pupil would be. It looks strangely demonic, staring out with pure hate.
Elpizo does not respond. He has the machine right where he wants it. Both swords are gripped firmly, as the human rushes forward. First, the left arm launches out, like a scorpion sting, then his right follows suit. This pattern continues, becoming faster as time passes on.
Colonel is very shortly, going to become a very large pin cushion.

The Phantom just narrows his eyes at the Strider, he has no desire to kill humans if he does not need to. But the Guardian Phantom is a True Ninja who kills his heart and emotions so that he can kill anyone or anything. The truth is that for Phantom killing a reploid means the same thing as killing a human - accomplishing his goal. He has no real belief in the "Cause", Phantom's belief is in the man called Elpizo. And he will fight for him to the death!
"...I am shinobi. I am beyond your disgust." Phantom replies as the pulse comes he is suddenly gone and the gravitational pulse just smacks into brick.
"...just disappear. I don't want to kill you."
The Phantom summons his shuriken glider into his hands and attempts to leap and BONK her across the face with it.

Josef Holznecht turns back around as Steel begins his responding, his frown only deepening. "Hah! No Robotten can be true friend to a human!" He doesn't move as Massimo comes in for a dropkick, stepping forward suddenly and bringing both of his hands up and /clamping/ down on his ankles, halting his kick. His frown turns to a scowl, and Josef pulls up hard, attempting to lift Massimo up, slide down under him, and plant his left fist hard into his back. Hopefully he won't slide forward too far, then he'd just look like a fool!

The Quetzalcoatl engages another emergency boost to get out of the Raiden's melee range, taking high to the sky. Apparently, on its way up, it's hit by some... plasma? Well, The Pilot is having just enough about this. Too bad he can't attack, the Engines have red-lined, and need a moment to cool down.

Fefnir pants - the fires ringing his body extinguish, and the Guardian slides onto his knees. The sudden energy expendature really took a lot out of him; his armor and bodysuit feel quite loose from all of the weight he lost from that. His eyes and senses, however, are still alert. A buster blast sails right at him. Immediately he raises his gun with the strength he has and manages to interrupt the energy's course through the air with its edge.
"Grggh ... you ... you're not as fun as Zero!" snarls Fefnir. Sodom is raised once more - "BYAAAGH!" Flame. More flame, as a violent flash makes itself known and a pillar of infernos erupts from a nozzle on the MWS at Megaman.

Mia crouches atop the Vanguard, ducking the swipe and nearly plumeting to the ground before she can catch herself. She's highly motivated now by the need to -not- fall to her doom... and so she charges up the diodes on the palms of her hands and channels an enormous amount of electrical current into them before hunting for a weak spot in the armor which she can discharge the voltage directly into. That ought to encourage the machine to descend to a less threatening height, she's reasoning.
A piece of flaming debris lands two inches next to Kim.
See, here's what can suck about drinking. Alcohol is flammable. Even when Gus regains his footing, the outermost layer of his gi (and part of the scarf) is on fire. Thus, he's forced to tear it off with his free hand post-haste, the free hand being his right one - which doesn't like to have too much strain on it to begin with. Underneath, one can see he's wearing a kevlar suit and see the face of the guy underneath it (as if B&C didn't already do that).
Considering the impact of the fireballs, Gus seems to be in pretty good shape. Prismatic Spider decides to hide behind a forcefield, so Gus steps on up and rears back Bulletproof, looking to at least stick it in there deeply enough to find a way to tear it open.

Kim Takushi violently twitches, scrambling off the rock and falling a few inches before holding his head over his hands, "APPARENTLY. I MISSED SOMETHING BIG."

Hibou apparently was commended. This means little though, but as General lifts the ahdn in the air, then threw the chop down towards Hibou, Hibou responded by rolling out of the way, the assault cannon, needing time to cool down, being put back, as Hibou got to moving as soon as he hit the ground.
The chop hits the ground.. and Hibou takes off, leaping onto the hand that had parted the grounds and .. taking a nibble.
These between meal snacks aren't probably good for him.

The Twin Ion Cannon's and their Laser Cannon helpers continue to pound away at the Fortress V unmolested. Luckily for the other teams, the Three Laser Cannon operators all zoom in on the Valk and start firing on it driving it onto the back foot. As they continue to track and fire at the Valk, some rounds hitting others missing, these three teams are suddenly barraged by the weaponry of the Valk. Some members of the three teams are killed, but the rest take their places and grit their teeth. They have to keep firing for Neo Arcadia and the Survival of Mankind!
It does not, really. The Vanguard's systems flicker inside of the cockpit as Iris continues to rise upwards, perhaps out of frustration or perhaps just to clear out of the arc of fire of the Neo-Arcadian ground forces.
The positioning of the Neo-Arcadian means that she is not terribly well-placed for a direct assault. This is probably exactly what the drone crystal is for. It decouples from the Vanguard's back and rises up, aiming to get behind Mia and blast her with a violet laser.
Inside the cockpit, Iris is feeling like a fool and a failure, but not very strongly - not yet, at least.

Prismatic runs towards Burn Dinorex, tumbling away from the flamethrower (and pleasantly surprised that he wasn't the target for it. FIRE BAD. IT STINGS.) , and charging across the scarred, broken ground, feet squishing on T-Rex chunks. He winces. That's just /gross/. Regardless, he is aware of the incoming Gus. With a flare of light, the forefield bubble is momentarily reinforced, deflecting the powerful strike off of the field with no appreciable reduction in apparent strength. "Good technique," the Spider replies, as he takes position in front of the fallen Burn, attatching a distress beacon to the fallen friend. A recovery squad approaches in order to get Burn back to the Fortress. Turning, Prismatic's conversion systems glitter, soaking in light as small crackles of electricityl eack out of the damaged edges. He's preparing for something, clearly. "Try again."

The glider arcs over her head; Linnea takes two steps forward, hunched over, before straightening with her Cipher in hand. "That's great, but I /do/ want to kill you!" She reaches forward, trying to snag Phantom by the scarf/cape and literally swing him around by it, simultaneously aiming to choke him and pound him into the building wall.

As Templar Fefnir raises those over sized weapons of his at X, he bends his knees, and leaps over the blast of fire. As he does, a glowing blue beam sabre extends out of the Mega Buster. Landing behind Templar Fefnir, X mutters a simple phrase to him, before swinging the blade for his back. Or torso, in case Templar turned around.

General found his hand was crushing into the ground, and so he began to lift it up. What occured next was a bit of a surprise for him, as Hibou once more attempted to eat parts of the golden leader of Repliforce.
"Stop that!" General said, as he calmly lifted up his foot and then attempted to step on Hibou with it. Sadly for Hibou, the foot would lift up and go back down numerous times, and then afterward General would throw in a few punches for good measure. If that all worked out right, General opted to pick Hibou up and then throw him as hard as he could at the Ion Cannon batteries that were assaulting the Fortress Five and the Valkyrie.

Josef does look like a fool. ALPHA. Laugh at him. Massimo tries to scramble out from under Josef. "Hah! Some of my best friends are robots! And YOU are just a jerk!" It is time for Massimo to stop fooling around. He springs up to his feet, trying to catch the mighty Arcadian on the ground. There is much more at stake here. It is time for Massimo to put the punch to the iron. It is time for Massimo to let loose all his mighty punches. Maybe a body slam. And definitely an elbow drop. It is time for Massimo to... GIVE IT ALL HE'S GOT!

NOW Colonel is /really/ pissed off! In his confusion, he had managed to miss /entirely/ the trap this fleshbag had set him up for. Not only had he and insulted him..but he insulted his purpose..and his kind. Colonel didn't take too kindly to any of it, especially being turned into a pin cushion. Blow after staggering blow, he stumbles backwards when they dance stops, staggering a bit, rocking back on his heel...and just when you'd think he was down, spins on his heel..igniting his saber once more and falling into a stance. Albeit weakly. /This/ was an insult. No human could get away with saying such things in his presence..and certainly not defeat him while doing it. The saber was now alight with his great fury, humming and vibrating with his rage. He had no more words for this one, and no mercy to spare either. A moment passes as he collects every once of energy his damaged body has, his exposed circuitry sparking and crackling loudly as he yells out. "DIEEEE!" He then unleashes a flurry of precision cuts, striking like lightning and moving with the grace of a dancer, and the speed of an expert fencer.

The Valkyrie remains in motion, as it's Ventral Cannon is fully charged, he has two fully charged Ion Cannons. He now begins to fire the slighty more powerful Railgun Cannons at the Laser Battiers now, thier High Speed Magentic power hopefully slamming into them now as he finally is able to get into a position to fire the Ventral Cannon at one of the Ion Cannons, which it does, hoping the bigger guns don't start looking for him, though it's more than likely the Valkyrie can avoid the bigger guns. The Ship takes more damage.
"Security wall Alpha 18-B 28 is up," the same trooper on the FV's bridge announces. There's a pause. "Security wall Alpha 18-B 28 is down. Explosive devices. Not getting any response from the controls in the area." Pause. "Security wall Alpha 18-B 29 is up." Pause. "Security wall Alpha 18-B 29 is down... well, he's mowing through them, sir. He's going to make it here for sure."
Storm Owl nods, entirely unsurprised. "Arm yourselves. Prepare for an invasion." The crew has been trained for this sort of thing before, but to have it -really- happen, and by someone that's mowing down the internal security precautions like a Jedi, it is very unnerving. Only Storm Owl appears confident, and it does serve to somewhat calm his subordinates. There are a dozen Repliforcers manning the bridge, and each are armed. Each is standing up now that control of the ship is elsewhere, ready to defend the Fortress V.
Outside, the Fortress V lamely begins to pivot, bringing additional, undamaged shields to bear. It's nice when something like the Fortress V gets the maneuverability bonus. Unfortunately, even as it turns one of the heavier ion blasts hits the shields at an odd angle, penetrates, and causes a minor explosion on the hull, just to the side of the docking bay. This is a bad omen.

Alpha peers at the Neo Arcadian Vehicle as it hides up in the air but receives a communique that indicates another warrior is in trouble. She lets out a breath, "Alright, no more playing around." She vanishes again, blinking away. Hey, Alpha's a dangerous opponent largely because of this maneuverability. It takes a few ports, however, as Alpha is somewhat far away. She gets a little lucky on her third blink, reappearing next to the Vanguard and near Mia's body. She reaches out with a quick grab for Mia and attempts to chuck her high up in the air away from the vanguard. That's not really her assault, however.
Her assault is the glob of black liquid she's spitting at Mia's body, since she's uninjured and can't use her already leaking 'blood'. As the spit moves closer, it takes form of a spear, attempting to lance through Mia and explode in a very messy manner.

Now that attention's off of it, an team of techs with a gravity harness move in, apparently having teleported in with the rex earlier. They go about the work of trying to recover the large, and time-consuming dinosaur.
[Radio: (D) Joint-Chat] Rush Raccoon transmits, "Valkyrie Holding at 45% Shields. Weapons at 50% again. Dorsal Cannon Charged, RailCannons reloading after immense Volley."

[Radio: (D) Joint-Chat] Auto transmits, "If /this/ coathanger arrangement doesn't work, I'm debating punching a hole in the door, but I think Doctor Cossack would make me pay for it."

An acute sense of pain enters Elpizo's senses...
Microscopic sacs in Elpizo's bloodstream are released as soon as pain recepticals for the human body reach breaking point. Pain relievers and extra adrenaline rush through the President's veins and he begins to feel less pain. He's visited this state many times before, and he has become familiar fighting in it.
Elpizo staggers momentarily, and he seems to regain his footing. Several hidden panels on the twin blades are depressed again, and the sabers take on a crimson hue. They begin to pulse with a heart beat, and Elpizo smiles lazily at Colonel, "You show signs of being infected, Colonel," Elpizo inhales briefly.. he can hear the color of the mechfluid on the ground. He can taste the explosions of the battle. The battle drug has taken control.
"Not good for Public relations," The President suddenly rushes forward, and attempts to slash at Colonel. If the President connects with the reploid, the mechfluid gained from the attack and the fluid is converted into an energy for the President.

There's an explosion, and the security bulkhead for the Fortress V bridge falls. Strangely, no one is visible. Then, suddenly, a ventilation grill pops up and a trio of small bombs bounce into the bridge, exploding in bursts of EMP intended to disable everyone on the bridge, along with any equipment there. Hien intends on crippling their nerve center, although he has no clue that control has been switched elsewhere. Like a python, he slithers out of the ventilation grid moments later, wanting to watch his handiwork as the potent EMP charges go off.

The still-heaving Fefnir is sliced in the back by the nimble Hunter; he stumbles forward, and thanks to his useless leg the Guardian falls onto his face with a deep cauterized gash now searing the flesh and cutting through the tissue. Hearing that talk from Rock only makes things worse - he frowns deeply. "Well! You ... *huff-huff* ... aren't any fun at all!" Besides, he can count the times where he's smoked a cigarette in bed with Zero after all of the foreplay and the actual meat. Whore.
Fefnir uses one of his twin MWSes as a crutch to lean on as he gets up on one leg and lets the other drag behind. While he is at it, the other arm, holding the other of the dragon-guns thrusts foreward with the speed of a striking snake hopefully to grapple onto Rock. Once he's got the Blue Bomber in tow on top of its muzzle he, quite simply, shoots him - up, with a huge blast of flame. This will hurt both him and the other as the recoil makes him slide backward further. "Nyaagh!"
The skeleton of the base is decimated on a few sides by the mines detonating - the others, deprived of their support beams, collapse.

Umbra Phantom is caught by the Strider, who grasps his mantle and throws him at the wall causing Phantom to gasp in pain a little as he's given a personal introduction to the wall. And then narrows his eyes at her. "Very well then." Phantom mutters and reaches into one of his pockets retrieving a glowing blue ball filled with an unstable substance and throwing it at her - the bomb hopefully sticking to her body and going...BOOM!
"Die!"

Comparatively speaking, Gus' own technique is not very good. He threw the stab at an angle that worked with the flow of the forcefield's barrier instead of against. Instead of throwing multiple strokes to try and lower the forcefield bit by bit and to keep up the pressure, Gus instead narrows his eyes to focus. It's a chaotic field out there and in doing this he's unwittingly turning his back to a number of things, but heck. He's there and he hasn't heard anything over the radio stating anything else is in immediate danger. (The truth is far different, thanks to sneaky sneaky Alpha.)
The world around Gus seems to slow down for him when his vision takes on a red hue. It's very hard to see against such a strong forcefield, but he thinks he can see where it's coming from. Rearing back Bulletproof in a telegraphic manner yet /again/, Gus then takes off into a short, lightning-fast (by human standards) lunge in hopes of piercing Bulletproof through the forcefield and strike the gem that activates it, using its own self-contained barrier to widen the puncture if he can make it.

The Ion Cannons strike home upon the Fortress V landing a blast on their hull. Both teams are about to BLAST ion beams into that spot again when General forces one of the teams to pause by throwing Hibou at them. So, only one of them shoots the Fortress V, but the Lasers continue to pelt the ship.
The Valk has some more success against one of the teams messing it up causing that team to stop firing for a turn as they shake off the cobwebs. The other two laser cannon teams keep firing at the ship However.
Getting back up upon the rock, the kid looks back through the Binoculars. Hmmm. It doesn't look like Neo-Arcadia is having much luck. At all. Well, here's Kudo's for them for trying.
The air goes out of Josef Holznecht in a rush as Massimo manages to drop an elbow right on him. It's not all gone, though, and he scrambles to his feet and backs away, clenching and unclenching his right hand. "Hmp! Your opinion ahf me isn't important!" He takes a few steps back, bringing his arm back as it explodes with blue energy, a mist forming around it as it charges up. "You are the same as them!" Without any further ado, he punches forward, energy blossoming and spiralling around his arm. The force takes Josef forward the short distance between himself and the Supercop, leaving a flashy wake behind him.

Mia was rather intent on her task at hand...the sudden appearance and interference of Alpha wasn't quite what she'd prepared for. Before she can grab up a fillet knife to fend off the reploid, she's flung through the air off the vanguard... And as gravity on the whole is still functioning she tumbles naturally towards the ground. To add injury to insult she's spat at...or...through rather... A decent sized hole rips through her wet suit and punches out through the back of her torso. In the process Mia has released a handful of small silver spheres...reploid seeking spheres that spread out and shoot through the air in multiple directions. As the ehuman crashes hard into the ground, her left leg dislocates with a harsh snap as it bends backwards. And then there is shreiking...followed by a decided limping scramble to vacate the immediate area...

The recovery team arrives, picking up Burn Dinorex and carting him off. Prismatic's done his job. Excellent. With a grin, the Spider weaves and ducks, moving quickly around Gus... and attempts to deflect the strike again.
It doesn't go so well. The strike slams into the field, digging deeply into it. Prismatic braces as the force of the blow pushes him backwards slightly, and sets himself, evening out the damage to the field and distributing it across the whole of the field as he attempts to push the blade back out of the critical penetration point. He continues to glitter and seethe, energy gathering around him visibly as lights dance and shatter into rainbow spectra. "So close... Again!"

As soon as he feels the cut, X retracts the blade and rearms the Mega Buster. But before he can get a chance to fire, Templar Fefnir grabs him, before firing into his torso at point blanc range. With the explosion caused by the blast, X is sent flying. He lands roughly on the ground, skidding back several feet. Dragging himself up, his torso now sport an indentation, along with a melted rim caused by the blast. Charging the Mega Buster, it's characteristic hum soon becomes audible within several feet of the Blue Bomber, but any farther it's drowned out by the sound of combat. Taking aim, and supporting the Buster with his left hand, he fires a well charged and powerful shot towards Fefnir.

Linnea Blossom blocks the bomb perfectly with her Cipher, at the widest part near the grips. This is an excellent way, she's found, to deflect thrown objects.
Unfortunately, this means the bomb is now stuck near her hands, and it takes Linnea a moment to realize this. Shaking it doesn't unstuck it, either. When the smoke clears, Linnea's Cipher is a little worse for wear, and her hands and lower arms are /definitely/ looking bad, shrapnel wounds and burns visible. She growls something in one of the Scandanavian languages before charging Phantom, yelling the whole way, twisting the grip on her sword. It smashes like something far, far heavier than it actually is; she uses the blunt side.

Repliforce winds up having advanced warning for the EMP bomb, but in the end it doesn't matter. As mentioned, control has been transferred elsewhere. Shining will still need to spend a couple hours fixing it, but at least it means the ship isn't going to crash into the ground or anything serious. The bridge crew, however, aren't so lucky, and the warning comes a touch too late. The three EMP bombs go off, knocking everyone off of their feet and onto the ground.
Many are disabled by this attack, but Storm Owl, despite having slumped to the floor, is able to raise his Cyclone Cannon and fire off a quick blast. "You made a grievous error coming to the most heavily guarded location in Repliforce." Storm Owl says. He's already recognized Hien as the individual that attacked his squadron over a month ago. He remembers that Hien is good.
Elsewhere, those in engineering will be reporting that there are shield failures all over the ship! The Fortress V returns fire with its own ion cannons and laser batteries, trying to target one of the heavier ion cannons in order to pick it off.

General watched as Hibou arced through the air and landed on one of the crews working on the emplaced cannons. General then frowned and began to walk in the direction of those cannons, his wrists coming up. Out of the armored wrists did extend the weapon systems, and energy was sent lancing out continuously at not only the guns but also the crews manning them.
Iris does not feel very merciful. She will feel guilty later, but on the other hand, it's becoming easier and easier to ignore the various accusations.
She pivots the Vanguard around as it descends, finally, back down lower - see? You could have just hopped off all along! - and two ports iris open on its front to send a pair of burning black-violet lasers down, streaking after the wetsuited woman.

Infected?! Hardly. He only loathed the human as much as the human seemed to loathe him. He wasn't infected. That was idiocy. He /was/, however, very pissed off. "..Infected..? You /dare/ compare me to a Maverick?!" He cluched his freshly wounded arm, down on one knee, the crackle of his sparking circuits stinging his ears. His body was wracked..he was worn..and he had almost no energy left with which to fight. But tenacity, and dogged determination were his best qualities..and his worst faults. His injuries, however, mattered to him none. Pulling him to his feet, he grins at Elpizo again. "..Have it your way.." Colonel deactivates his saber, and stands there, staring at Elpizo for a moment..oddly, doing nothing. Then he lifts his armor cannon with strained effort, and a large cannon protrudes from it and begins to charge energy. If he couldn't defeat him any other way..he'd try to take him down too. The blast charges off fully..and explodes in a violent roar.

Alpha grunts as she's caught by non-electric lightning. She is blasted up midlly, but not enough to really do much damage beyond burning her synthflesh. She looks towards Mia and frowns at her. She floats towards Mia Peretti, avoiding Iris's shots and not getting in their way as she hovers in close and flexes her black wing forward, trying to spray the 'fleeing' E-Human with her chemical spray. "This is for making Zero look like a dork," Alpha says loyally, "He has an easy enough of a time looking like one normally, your help is not appreciated!" She wonders if her intended effect is ruined. She is ignorant of the Overload KO, but it would make her happy knowing Elpizo and Colonel died in each other's loving embrace.

Hien gets hit right in the shoulder by Storm Owl's shot, the armor plating ripped off and the flesh there torn open by the wind. "Most heavily defended? That's a joke." He draws his Ciphers, plasma exploding around them. "I'm a Strider, didn't you hear?" He runs forward and leaps suddenly into the air, twirling once in the air before coming down at Storm like a monster, both blades cutting. A maniac grin is plastered across his face. He may not get out of here alive - but Hien accepted the inevitable a long time ago. He'll be running hell in a matter of days. And as for Alpha, she's damned lucky that Hien didn't just see her cut down Mia while retreating.

Fefnir is too weak to move; nor is he all too nimble in the first place. He is helpless to the blast as it slams into his waist with a jerk and a blast of bubbling crimson blood splattering all along the ground loudly. Falling to the ground, however ... the Guardian doesn't get up this time.
He lays there, head lolled to the side and his eyes closed, one of his legs caught under the weight of his scrawnier body and the other sticking out. Fefnir is far out of it.
But he is still holding his guns. Goes to show you what kind of person he is.
It ended with a bang.
The blast catches Elpizo fully in the chest. The President falls off the side of the building, and plummets into the ground. A large plume of dust and debris fly up into the air. The damage on the President cannot be seen.
That is pretty cool. Massimo has to give him that. He didn't even have to transform or anything to do that. The big reploid, however, has a finishing move of his own. He spins his spear around tight, slamming the butt of it into the ground. He forces himself off to side with a push of the lance, boot skates igniting. He is able to move out of the way just enough to let Josef slide past him. He uses the momentum to push the butt of the lance off the ground with his foot and twist his torso around. With all his weight, he thrusts the tip towards Josef's torso. "I do not wish to kill you! But I cannot stand for you stopping justice like this!"

The techs who aren't wrangling the injured dino back to their evac point rush back into the field, looking for the fallen.
Dragging her broken leg, Mia had little chance of avoiding the toxic spittle that sears through her wet suit and burns her flesh. That can't be a good smell. Still attempting to get as far away as she can, Mia falls facefirst to the ground and crawls for several meters before the pain and loss of flesh renders her unconsious and bleeding all over the ground.
The Phantom narrows his eyes as Linnea comes at him, this strider is fast, and she's tricky, and he was having difficulty reading her next attack because it was the first melee attack that she'd attempted on him. The Guardian tries to snap his arms up in defense but gets clobbered by the Cipher, being knocked off balance Phantom commando rolls to his feet.
"...Hmph." Phantom begins making symbols with his hands. Falcons Claw. Wolf's Fang. Crane. "Nin!"
Phantom rushes forward and attempts to smack Linnea with a punch to the sternum.

Kim Takushi continues to watch. Owch. Lots of people are starting to fall left and right. Seems like its the end of the fight as the that remain continue to fight the fight.
[Radio: (D) Joint-Chat] Rock transmits, "Templar Fefnir is neutralized. I'll shortly return to the Fortress V, I have sustained relatively heavy injuries."
Gus finds his approach repelled once more, in effect. Prismatic Spider keeps moving and taunting. Not too many yards away from Gus, Templar Fefnir falls. That's when a realization hits him. What if Prismatic Spider there is just biding his time until that robot dinosaur gets help? Heh, doesn't Gus feel silly now.
Well, whatever. Gus glances back towards Prismatic Spider one last time before hopping back a few times to stand in front of the fallen Templar Fefnir, before someone far more fearsome than the giant T-Rex. To provide some cover to prevent Rock from finishing the job, he seems to swirl Bulletproof about a bit before swinging it forward in an inward swing - loosening its barrier field into a barely visible very very very faint blue energy bubble. This is also to provide some form of cover from plasma fire. Rock there is no joke, Gus knows this. He may not hold up against concentrated firing efforts between him /or/ the spider if the latter chooses to, but hell.
He likes his health insurance plan.

The Crew that Hibou bowled into stands, and helps Hibou to his feet. The crew commander growls and shouts for Hibou to get back to the fighting and both the team once again starts firing at the FV - aiming at the Bridge
"Take that f***en ship out!" the commander screams.
The other Ion Cannon crew is in more trouble, they took a dangerous hit nearly head on and that Ion Cannon is down to 70% efficiency. General in his attacks completely decimates one of the 2 laser cannon batteries, completely wasting the crew and the cannon itself. Now there's only one laser cannon crew helping the two ion cannons.
The Valk isn't doing so well. Three Laser Cannon teams are now firing at the Valk trying to eat the ship alive.
The engines of the Quetlongname finally balance out, running at normal temperature. And who does it go after now? It's sights have locked onto Alpha, who apparently fired at Mia. That's never good. Especially when she falls like that. Alpha may suddenly find a barrage of missiles homing in for the kill! They come pretty fast, and by the lot.

Knicking over the crew as he flies past, hitting the wall and then going deep into the solid metal, Hibou is.. not good at all. Horribly bloody, Hibou pulls is pulled up, walking abit as the cannon comes into his hands again. It's not a good feeling at all, and those around him are falling. He might as well continue to fight.
The cannon comes into his hands, and begins to spin heavily... then stops for a bit before spinning even faster. He's going down fighting. Being unable to fully control the swarm of slugs that he fires next, Hibou rejoins himself, hitting the wall but still compressing the trigger.
The big man has to take him down.

Josef Holznecht punches right past Massimo, the energy flooding hard out of his fist near the time where he /would/ have hit in a bright rush. Massimo's spear goes right into his now unprotected right side, meeting a very surprising amount of resistance from all of Josef's enhanced muscles, but finally pushing through into his much softer bits. Blood spurts out before going into a steadier flow, and blood drips slowly from his lips. He grimaces, but manages to bring his right arm up, grab onto Massimo's spear, and shove it out of his body with a gasp. He hasn't been hurt like this since he lost his arm. "What jahstice? All you are doing is helping the Robotten hold superiority over your kind!" Even as he says this, though, he's falling back.
Josef can't keep this up much longer.

The Crew is in an flurry as they barely keep the Shields up now, it's a good thing Solder made this so the weapons have thier own seperate generators, or else they'd have NO Shield power by now, still dodging nimbly as the Valkyrie goes into a slight drop. After a few hits, a light blue flash indicates the prescenes off... the shields going off. Now it's on full Hull power alone. some lasers begin to hit as Rush grrssss. Alright, he did'nt WANT to damage the homes of Former San Anglees Citizens, really, but nows the time for his tactic... using the charged Dorasal cannon, he begins to sweep right under one of the Ion cannons and fires right under it at the STRUCTURE, hoing to destroy the floor right from underneath the cannon. by doing this risky manuever, he's unable to evade emey fire, or fire the smaller weapons at the lasers.
Storm Owl slowly stands to his feet, still keeping the cannon trained on Hien. He's still a bit shakey from the EM Pulse, but Storm is nothing if not determined to prevent a Fortress VI from happening. As Hien runs forward, Storm Owl knows he can't challenge Hien in a melee battle (not even with his Like a Reed technique!). He dives to the side, jumping over a console that's normally used to register incoming firepower. Tucking and rolling, Storm Owl is back on his feet, ready for another shot.
-beepbeepbeep... beepbeepbeep- Storm Owl glances away from Hien and towards the console he just leaped over. The one that registers incoming firepower. It's impossible to see what Owl sees from Hien's angle, but the sudden sharp raised optical brow gives a clue.
-Boom!- One of the ion blasts hits the shields. But the second blasts through and strikes the bridge square on, causing the entire tower to erupt in flames and debris and fall backwards off the ship. The Fortress V hangs in the air, stunned.
Storm Owl, Hien, and the bridge crew are no longer on the bridge. There is no bridge. They are in the air. They are falling. Debris falls with them. Storm Owl blinks behind his glasses. Storm Owl's beret falls off from the intense wind. Storm Owl spots Hien falling. Storm Owl maneuvers over to Hien. Storm Owl attempts to grab onto Hien. Storm Owl attempts to make sure Hien gets a good view of the landing by smashing his face into the pavement.

As Fefnir falls to the Mega Buster, X walks towards the Guardian. Clutching ahold of one of his MWS's, he download the weapons data into his systems. His dark blue turns into a shining magenta, whilst the light blue shifts into a dull grey. Standing up, he starts to make his way back to the Fortress V when Gus' energy field shot lands right by his feet. Changing back into his normal blue/blue, he changes the Mega Buster into an arm again. But this isn't his normal arm, this is the Mega Arm. Aiming it like the Buster, the Arm takes off for Gus, tracking his movements to some degree.

[Radio: (B) RF-Secure] Rush Raccoon transmits, "Hull at 90%.. Weapons at 50%, will, attempting to destroy remaining Ion Cannons. Attemtping to Divert Power to get Minimal Shields back online."
General frowned as he noticed Hibou standing back up and once more brandishing his weapon. Up went the massive trunk like arms belonging to the Reploid, the hail of devestation ripping into them and causing mechfluid to gush out from the perforations and tears that had savagely formed.
General adjusted where his arms were, lifting the hands up into the air and then calmly leaping upward. As General descended he released his mighty ham-fists upon the Earth, the ground itself yielding not only to his weight but also the ferocity of his strike. The ground ripped and tore, the rocks beneath being churned upward, the surface becoming warped and unstable, fractured. This spread outward, covering an expanding area, containing not only Hibou but also any nearby cannon crews.

Yes and no, Gus. Yes and no. The moment Gus turns away from Prismatic, the forcefield surrounding him flickers and dies, the cohesive energy shattering... And also opening a path for the Spider to make some trouble. The Spider leaps towards Gus, weaving his hands around the Strider, and leaving glittering trailing lines in their wake.
And then, just like with the T-Rex, those lines draw tight. Unlike the laser webs, however, these are much more sinister.

The sparkling forcefield fades from view, Prismatic Spider's refractor growing dim once more.

Linnea Blossom has never understood the hand things some ninja do. Sure, it looks impressive, but there's no /point/ to it unless you're using it to cover slipping something into your hand. Punching does not count! She twists out of the way, Umbra's fist almost skimming her stomach. taking advantage of the close quarters, Linnea brings her foot up into a kick at Umbra's knee with the full force of her strength and training. "Nice try. Ass."

Steel Massimo pulls the lance backwards, letting the blood drip. He tries to wave it off his lance on the ground, looking across the battleground. He is still working high on vigor and justice and he begins to rush over to Rock. "I'm coming for you, buddy!" He punches his chest and takes a leap for Rock, trying to get in front of him.

Well. The Earthquake hits nicely, the rocks coming up into the air, the cannon stopping as General ripped up the ground.
Hibou can only watch as the rocks come over him and the crew, before being swallowed by them, laying under them, buried. He's not going to be getting up any time soon. It's hard to breath now, especially since he's unconcious, and partially buried.
He might be busy being dragged off after being unburied by surviving pantheon.
The Vanguard, at last, lands on the surface of the battered city streets.
Iris starts to reroute equipment and, as per Durandal's suggestion, check the weapons control board for problems. Some steam rises from its back, the wings drawing downwards.

Alpha, well, is pretty badly blasted by the latest missile. She goes flying several yards away and hits the ground roughly. She takes in a few deep breaths and shudders as the electric surge courses through her system. Grunting, she pulls up to a crouch and eyes the vehicle before her. "That's so annoying," She complains before ice mist pours out of her hand, solidifying into a ball. She throws it, with the aid of a gravitic pulse, towards the vehicle which may get a SHOCKING surprise if it hits!

The bridge explodes, and Hien finds himself floating. "Well damn, it looks like I took out the FV after all!" Then, Storm Owl grabs him, and plasters him /right into the ground/. He should be dead. He should definitely be dead. Hien, bruised all over, pushes Storm off of him and stands in an explosion of force, hacking down at Storm Owl with the Yang Cipher. "Now you die," he says, sounding deadly serious. There's a retreat order, but Hien doesn't give a rats ass.

Suddenly Phantom disappears as Linnea makes her move. He's just gone, he disappears. "...Too slow." Says Phantom's voice to the side with some caltrops in his hands. "You've been a fun diversion. But only that."
Phantom throws the caltrops on her, trying to throw the metal spikes in her hands, her feet and her joints making it difficult to move. "I have something more important to do."
Hit or miss, Phantom's gone. He needs to cover his troops as they retreat.

The ball lands on the Quetforgetit, blasting it with electric charges... of course, the craft seems to do it's own electric shocks after the hit, stabilizing itself in midair. The attack is delt, and an attack is to be made. The TA starts to barrel roll, slow at first, then speed up with intensity. It's a wonder why the Pilot isn't getting affected by the merry-go-round. Soon, it's seen that it's actually an attack. Visual wind gusts are seen as the pilot dives the craft right at Alpha, attempting to contain her in wind force equal to that of a hurricane.

The Phantom leaps from building to building eventually landing where the T-Rex fell, "Neo Arcadia. Regroup and Retreat! Regroup and Retreat!" Phantom calls out ordering a retreat, but he personally stays.
"Those of you with the courage to fight, cover the retreat!"

[Radio: (D) Joint-Chat] Rush Raccoon transmits, "Again?... lovely. I'am busy engaging the Ion Cannon Batteries."
[Radio: (D) Joint-Chat] Shining Firefly transmits, "I believe this is the first time it has been blown /off/. Blown up? Sure, but blown off... that is different. Perhaps we can weld the Valkyrie to the FV and let it be the new bridge."
The spider's movements are caught in a series of decisive and swift, if inelegant, slashes to cut the monofilament wires before they can wrap themselves around Gus, but it's a close shave. The many arms of Prismatic Spider are pretty fast. Despite this show of agility and the rare bit of skill, the same fate cannot be said for Rock's attack to get Gus out of his way from Fefnir, raising Bulletproof for the block a bit too far to the right. The Mega Arm smashes his left elbow audibly, a pained groan escaping Gus as he drops the cipher but manages to catch it in his right. A very sloppy block for the supposed gold medalist of Pong. (Then again, he only got that because his opponent for that match surrendered.)
He looks back to Prismatic. Then, Massimo jumps in front of Rock. This is a three-on-one situation here, and he's down his main fighting arm. This is a no-win scenario, but Gus can hear pantheon rushing in from behind him towards where Fefnir lays. He takes solace in that at least. He does get around to asking Massimo what he always wanted to.
"It's damn machines that destroyed everything you wanted to protect. What the hell are you doing with them?" He'd follow this up with additional insult, but with Rock still approaching Fefnir, he takes that as a good sign that he'd better not stay.
So he leaps back twice into a backpedaling dash at surprising speed, followed by turning around fully into a series of leaps and hops that seem to make him go faster and faster. The pantheon are closing in, but Rock's got plenty of time to complete the weapon system copying. Gus, though, isn't about to have any more of it today.

The Ion Cannon crews cheer loudly as all their hard work and sacrifice pays off as they cripple the Fortress V. Both crews get one more shot off before the Valk gets a tearing shot off with its Dorsal Ion Cannon ripping the damaged Cannon apart and the resulting explosion kills some of the crew, the survivors immediately escape. The Commander of the Crew that actually nailed the Fortress V's crew holy craps and calls the retreat.
"PANTHEOON! WE ARE LEAVING!" He screams hitting the cease artillery signal the Ion Cannon crew activate the self destruct mechanism and blow the cannon up. And the Surviving Laser Cannon crew after getting two more shots off does the same, making their escape.
The Three Crews battling it out with the Valk take some serious hits but also strike the ship with some hits, but finally one more laser cannon gets nailed with a lucky shot - the crew miraculously survivng. Then the surviving crew takes one more shot and self destructs their cannon and retreats.
The automatic magnifier systems on the Vanguard's screens focus on Umbra Phantom.
There is a quick, automatic analysis. The shot, it seems, is not a terribly good one, but it's not a bad one, either. Iris looks at the figures, then up at the figure.
It feels horrible. She's firing a weapon capable of cutting through inches of tempered steel alloy at a human being. Maybe what they're saying is right, she thinks, but at the same time...
At the same time, there are all the others. All the Reploids who have been cast out of San Angeles and all of the humans who have suffered because Neo-Arcadia's military campaign prevented relief efforts.
She closes her eyes and holds her hand over the fire button, pressing it and trusting to fate. The front of the Vanguard irises open to reveal a black, glossy plate - the end of a laser diode of great size.
There is a pause as it warms up and flickers briefly. A beam of light arcs out from it then, crackling and ionizing the air as it passes. It is a long shot; the sound of its approach might give Umbra the time he needs to leap out of the way and aside.

Storm Owl's arm very nearly gets torn out of the socket from the impact of driving Hien into the ground from many many feet up. He swoops up, avoiding hitting the ground himself. More importantly, he avoids the swipe by Hien at him. Hien broke the rule of saying 'you die' and then attacking. It's right up there with saying 'dodge this'.
Now back into the air, Storm Owl only has a split second to consider how many of his bridge crew survived. A small part of him also wonders if Ballistic Cat landed on his feet before going squish. "Your fellow Neo Arcadians are retreating, Hien, and we have played this dance before." He levels the Cyclone Cannon at him. "We both remember how it ended last time." He fires off a powerful blast.

Alpha is blown back by a windforce supposedly equal to that of a hurricane. Must be a pretty wimpy hurricane, since while Alpha is certainly looking worse for where with black liquid tears dripping out from numerous parts of her body, she's still in one piece and the damage didn't do as much as one would expect from a Hurricane. Alpha vanishes. Uh oh.
Alpha pops up back in front of the flying mech and the pretty expected happens. She reaches out with her gravitic engine and tries to rip bits and pieces of metal off from the vehicle for Necro to devour so that her system gets revitalized. She's definately significantly damaged, otherwise why would she do something like this?

General watched as Hibou became buried. His attention drifted, first toward the direction of Umbra as the ninja leader was calling out something, something he couldn't quite make out due to distance issues. That was when the crew leader called out the retreat, and General nodded his head, turned and began to walk toward the direction of the extraction point.

Linnea Blossom covers her face and upper torso, to avoid having one of the razor pieces of metal embed itself in her eye or throat. It does keep her safe.
Perhaps assuming the worst of it is over, Linnea prepares to charge after Phantom - only to put her foot down solidly on one of the points, even after she'd deflected them away from her face. "Dammit!" She sounds, honestly, more angry than pained; she hops on one foot (avoiding stepping on another caltrop by sheer luck) as she pries this one out of her heel.
As Massimo sets himself between X and Gus, X nods to the dragon reploid. As Gus retreats, X says "Thanks Massimo. I'm going back to the Fortress, you can continue to fight if you wish." He then starts to limp towards the Replifroce ship, ready to gets his injuries tended to.

The Fortress V is heavily damaged. Both the shields have collapsed, and the tower that contains the bridge has been destroyed, fallen off, and sunk into a swamp. Not the swamp part, though. Although control of the ship is still maintained from engineering, the guns have stopped and the ship is merely hovering stationary. One can imagine that inside the crew is working frantically just to keep the ship flying, let alone still fighting.
[Radio: (D) Joint-Chat] Rock transmits, "I am breaking off and heading for the Fortress V."
[Radio: (D) Joint-Chat] Storm Owl transmits, "Thank you for your assistance, Megaman."

And there you nhave it, the Valkyrie is damaged, but it's still flying, and bears battle damaged, maybe proudly for now? The weapons ave stopped firing, the weapons on the Valkyrie continue to charge as it circles around the fortress quickly overhead to get a good view of everything. The Cannons are destroyed or un-manned... theres the War Torn Fortress V, and, theres the Neo Arcadian Retreat going on. Rush doesn't pursue it. Instead he takes a hovered postion overhead, what is this? The extraction point of course! It's here to make sure no more funny bussiness goes down, and to pick up the Aerial Superiority slack for the Headless Fortress V for the time being. Lasers scan the ground but do not fire.
"I want Facilities ready to take on the wounded, lets take some slack of the Fortress come on pepole!" he orders! the unessitnal crew all salute and nod and get RIGHT to work to be ready to take on wounded, and Retrival lines are sent down from the Valkyrie, as the Techs begin to prep for ship repairs.
[Radio: (B) RF-Secure] Rush Raccoon transmits, "Hull held at 75, All Weapon Systems except Laser Batteries powering down. Preparing to take wounded aboard. What is the situation on the Fortress V? Can we render ANY Aid?""
Hien gets blown right off his feet, flying twenty feet back and slamming into a wall. He stands up, his body aching, and turns to run for it, sheathing his Ciphers as he goes. He sourly notes the Fortress V is still afloat. Damn those tricky Repliforcers!

Now you've just plain ticked off the pilot. It goes into a series of barrel rolls to get Alpha off of its back, then /it/ happens.
That same hurricane force starts to pick up debris from the battle, putting it at the mercy of the wind. It circles, faster and faster, gaining more force...then... The craft barrel rolls straight for Alpha, shocking with electricity as it charges! Alpha may notice, that if she isn't fast, /she/ might get sucked into the mercy of the hurricane, and get battered and beaten by the debris.
Neo Arcadian Aerial TA <Quetzalcoatl> misses Alpha with its Debris Vacuum attack.
Prismatic watches Gus beat feet, whistling to himself. "That guy is fast." He doesn't bother to go after Gus, and turns, beginning the process of retrieving the wounded, supplying onsite repairs where needed and tagging others for retrieval, whether for repairs... Or worse.
Storm Owl, known for being willing to shoot his enemies in the back, fires additional shots at Hien even as he makes a break for it. The blasts are far less powerful, as the last one took everything he had (and then some). The Cyclone Cannonings are also not particularly well aimed, and thus aren't coded. Storm Owl knows that one of these days Hien will get the upper hand and will annihilate Owl with that cipher of his. But until then, Storm Owl looks up at his wounded ship and streaks towards the docking bay. He has a lot of hard work to take care of.

Phantom stands ready to face any foe - he was certainly not expecting to be Lasered to near death by the pretty (BUT EVIL) Iris. The laser tears through the Armour of the Guardian known as Phantom burning right through his flesh and exposing flesh and internal organs to the world. But the scream from Phantom is one of sheer, utter agony. Energy weapons are BAD (The Numbers are bad!) for Phantom's.
"UUUUUUUWWAAAAAAAHHGH...kuh..." The Phantom coughs up blood and falls to his knees, summoning his Glider.
"Ugh...Full Retreat." Phantom eyes Iris meaningfully, burning her identity into his list of 'People Whom He's Going To Horribly Ninja'. "...Well done."
With that the Phantom takes off on his glider.

Iris, inside of it, breathes heavily; that did not feel very good to her, even if it did hit directly.

Oh yes. At this point, assuming no further difficulties from the Spider or Massimo, Pantheon forces are already working to haul Fefnir back out towards safety.
Linnea Blossom finally gets the needle-pointed caltrop out of her foot - just in time to see Phantom jet off on his stupid little gliding shuriken. (Maybe she's jealous.)
Instead she punches the nearby wall, hard enough to leave a little series of cracks in the stonework.
Alpha vanishes again, appearing on top of the Queztalcoatl after it steadies itself from its barrel rolls, "You must be the Dust Man of assault craft," Alpha murmurs, throwing up a wave of gravity at the mech, which knocks herself off the ship too, but it might -damage- the craft she's engaging! "GGo away already!" She complains.

"Just know that I'm not doing this because you said to!" A voice rings out from the speaker system of the Quetzalcoatl before it bolts off, leaving a trail of black smoke in its wake.

The FV's shield grid was on the verge of collapse. This is the minor problem, however, and I estimate it will take no longer than a week to get them fully functional again. The serious damage was to the bridge tower, which was completely destroyed. We still have control over the ship from engineering, however functions, most notably weapon control, will be at a reduced capacity until it can be rebuilt. I estimate it will be no less than a month before it is back online.
