Rooftop - Karasawa Tower

Windy, cold, and hard to breath. That's that the rooftop of the Karasawa Tower is like, and it's one of the smaller skyscrapers in the business district. Now heavily damage by Bass's perfect storm, a lower level has been redesignated the 'roof', and things have been moved here, Mikage International's vehicles now at home in this ruined area.

Sigma [X5] [M]                         Dr. Light [Flight] [MH]

Attraction Bunny [RF]                  Sewa [Sewa] [C]

Battle and Chase Dodgeball Arena       Battle and Chase Stands - Dodgeball

Up <U> leads to Sky Above Japan.

Elevator <E> leads to GravTube Elevator - Karasawa Tower.

Raymond Bennet arrives from the Karasawa Tower.

Raymond Bennet has arrived.

And from up high in the clear blue sky, a speck appears, flying gracefully towards the Karasawa Tower. The Commander of the Fortress V Battlestation is looking forward to this match specifically because it involves the greatest enemy Repliforce has ever known: Sigma. This shall be an excellent chance to see what his capabilities are in a unique fashion first hand. He has a secondary goal of seeing to it that his partner, Attraction Bunny, performs adequately befitting a Repliforce trooper, regardless of whether she may be an actual soldier or not. That Dr. Light will be participating is a curiousity. He considers the purpose of great enemies working together on a harmless goal like this. One possible objective of both of them could be the attempted turning of one against their ideals, but somehow Storm Owl doubts that is very likely in either of Sigma or Dr. Light's case. Storm Owl settles down softly on the windy rooftop. How perfect for him.

Attraction Bunny wanders out of the elevator, lacking the aerial skills of her teammate. She waves to Storm Owl as she sees him land. Taking a moment to look out past the end of the rooftop, she shakes her head. "Hope we don't fumble the ball over the edge. I don't want to be the one who has to chase after it."

And lo, from on high, the angel of the Mavericks spake tidings of evil and great despair that shall be unto all people. And lo, the Sigma did appear upon a column of irridescent light; blinking in from somewhere within the black abyss to stand upon his team's portion of the arena, magenta and cyan cloak reflecting light about him beautifully. He is in his show armor, it would seem -- resplendant in white and black, feather like cloak immediatly discarded to a waiting admirer. He stands mute then, waiting for the good Thomas Light. What would Storm Owl say if only he knew that this team was formed by spur of the moment, and beer?

He probably wouldn't believe it. Dr. Light, however, had seen and done far, far too much to not believe in things such as this. Light smirks, dressed in what looks to be a standard dodgeball outfit, shorts and all, showing off his still-impressive physique. In case anyone forgot the Mikage incident. He makes a quick cross over himself-a sign of respect for the departed enemy who's name is on this building.

And The Good Doctor smiles. "I'm ready."

Storm Owl returns Attraction's wave with his picture perfect salute. You'd swear there was the sound of a thunderclap when he does that. In the Repliforce training manual, his picture is shown where it says what a proper salute is. "Chapter 4: Boundaries of Play, Section V, paragraph II specifically notes that should a ball fall off of the tower, a new ball shall be issued to the side that did not last touch the original ball before

it left the field of play." he tells her as if she should already know that. Storm Owl's beady gaze falls to Sigma as he makes his approach. What would Storm Owl say about the cause of the partnership? Long story short, he would disapprove. Long story long... well, he could write a book about it. "A question, Sigma," Storm Owl drones, stepping towards him. "Might I inquire about the status of Storm Eagle?"

Sigma inclines his bald head to Doctor Light briefly, actually showing a good deal of respect. "Thomas." He states, cordially enough. "Do not forget that you owe me a drink after we are through." This said, he steps up to his line in the arena -- flexing his arms as though to loosen stiff actuators. "Also, I trust that you can keep up with me?" This is said in a sort of teasing manner -- and he clearly expects a response to be proven physically, rather than said. Storm Owl's comment earns a sort of dry laugh from the Emperor. "Storm Eagle has finished his mental reconditioning and has taken his place as an Air Warrior among Gryphon Squadron. That is all that you need to know."

Attraction Bunny giggles brightly at the reminder "Oh right. That would make a lot more sense. I'm not used to 'official' rules, just 'backyard' type rules." She shakes her head for forgetting such a thing. She has read the rules after all. Really!

Dr. Light raises an eyebrowl at the mention of Mental Reconditioning, but, well...what can you do. Until they find a perminant cure for the Sigma Virus, this is how it has to be, it seems. Light streches a little, but it seems as if he's warmed up already. "Well, if we're finished the obligitory trash talking, shall we get down to busniess?"

Sitting at a table off to the side of the arena is Raymond, feet kicked up onto it, watching a little TV showing the sandbag contest on the side. Looking up, and seeing all of the notable, important people here, he checks a couple things off on a clipboard. "Alright, looks like everyone's here and ready, so...Begin. Good luck, all of you!" And then he starts watching the TV again. Whee.

A new dodgeball game has started. Storm Owl gets the ball.

Smiling over to Storm Owl, Attraction bounces on the balls of her feet "Good luck teamie!" She moves into a ready stance, and then gasps, looking to Sigma and Dr. Light with a grin. "Oh! Good luck to you guys too!"

Storm Owl arches an optical ridge. "Mental reconditioning?" he echoes. "A mere Air Warrior?" he says. Although it's tough to tell given Storm Owl's monotone voice, one might almost think that he's insulted on behalf of his former mentor. "I see..." he finally says, turning away in order to walk to his part of the court. "Thank you for the information." Storm takes up a position near Attraction, covering his half of the court. He nods to her, "Of course," he says, not bothering to debate the dubious rule set known as the 'backyard'. He gives Light a glance. Trash talk? How illogical! With luc- I mean, with perfect calculations and standing in the right spot due to it, Storm Owl is in position to scoop up the ballas it comes towards him. Without hesitating, he hurls it at Sig 'Storm Eagle's only an Air Warrior' Ma.

Storm Owl throws his dodgeball at Sigma, but he dodges it. The ball is grabbed by Dr. Light.

"Mental reconditioning. A mere Air Warrior. The price of utter betrayl goes a long way. I would have thought you knew the story of his attempt to aid the Maverick Hunters during the battle for Berlin. He remains lucky I did not simply have his neural net melted down for component scrap." At that point, the ball comes out for him -- and spying Doctor Light almost behind him, he simply blinks -- turning insubstantial for a moment, meaning to give the doctor a chance to catch.

Well, looks like Sigma plays Cheap. That's fine with Light-he wants a chance to actualy win an event. Still, he frowns at Sigma's taunting. "Let's just play the game..." Light notes-his arms slamming in a sumo clap to grab the ball.

Light then rolls forward, dashing at the Repliforcers. Pretty spry for an old man. He seems to be coming all up in Storm's busniess, untill...

What's this! A fake out shot at Attraction! Has Light embraced the power of evil?

Dr. Light throws his dodgeball at Attraction Bunny, but she dodges it. The ball is grabbed by Attraction Bunny.

Storm Owl hmmms as Sigma both responds to him and blinks his way to safety. The war bird is far too logical to argue on behalf of his arch nemesis on this subject, for he knows that Storm Eagle in a position of command is a dangerous thing for Repliforce. Of course... if he were to betray the Coalition again... ah, but Storm Owl doesn't even need to calculate the odds of that to know it won't happen. No, they are enemies forever, now. Storm nods his approval as Attraction avoids the ball and acquires it.

Attraction Bunny frowns a little as Sigma and Storm Owl continue their tense conversation. As Light speaks, she nods quickly in agreement. "Be nice boys." The ball comes zooming towards her and she 'squees!', arms flailing towards readiness. Luckily, Miss Bunny manages to catch the ball, and proclaims her happiness with a bounce and a "Whee!" Pulling her arm back, she sends the ball on it's merry way. Back to Light.

Attraction Bunny throws her dodgeball, striking Dr. Light.

The ball bounces around before being grabbed by Dr. Light.

Dr. Light is knocked in the beard! Light acks, falling over-before flipping back around and landing on his feet. Well, he's no ninja, but the old man knows how to land. His eyes take that dark, inscrutable tone...is he gonna throw? Is he gonna throw?

"Catch, fatty!" Who'd he throw it too?

Dr. Light passes the ball to Sigma.

Storm Owl jolts, ready for the ball to be hurled at him. Oh... nevermind...

Sigma reappears now, behind Doctor Light -- waiting to see what happens within the game. He is mute as the Doctor is struck, and yet suddenly dissapears again -- reappearing in midair to meet the passed ball like one would leap up to a volleyball net, right hand coming down in a vicious spike as he sends the thing at high velocity towards Storm Eagle. "Fatty? Bah! I'm insulted, Thomas. Most insulted." *SPIKE!*

Sigma throws his dodgeball at Storm Owl, but he dodges it. The ball is grabbed by Attraction Bunny.

Storm Owl was, thankfully, all ready when Light gave his shout. The war bird focuses on Sigma and follows the ball, carefully calculating its most likely trajectory before it leaves the Coalition leader's hands. Storm Owl takes off, and the ball bounces right where he used to be standing. The ball barely misses hitting his foot, but as it happens, barely only counts in horse shoes.

Attraction Bunny gasps, covering her mouth with her hands as the ball strikes Light and knocks him back. "Oh dear! I'm sorry. I hope you're okay Sir." She was aiming for shoulder, after all... and she didn't think it would be so hard. She almost wants to rush over and make sure Dr. Light is okay. As Sigma does his fancy disappearing act, she snaps out of it, attention back on the game. "Oooh! Good avoid!" she claps at Storm, somehow managing to end up with the ball in her hands mid-clap. "Oh." comes her surprised response. Lifting the ball, she tosses it across again... towards Sigma.

Attraction Bunny throws her dodgeball at Sigma, but he dodges it. The ball is grabbed by Dr. Light.

Sigma lands smoothly, dropping almost to one knee to absorb the impact of his landing as he watches Storm Owl somehow magically avoid his delicious spike. Well, that was unfortunate. Attraction Bunny's gasp catches his attention then, and his dry laughter is heard once again. "Oh, dear me." He says. "Hurting your opponent. How unfortunate. I have no doubt though, that Thomas is made of sterner stuff." As the ball comes his way again, he neatly performs an almost matrix-esque backflip -- coming to rest upon his eet

once again.

Allowing Dr. Light to leap out from behind the Maverick Emperor. Not that he was looking for convient exhaust ports to exploid next time Sigma decided to get Johnny McViolent and had to be put down. Light smiles at the Bunny, as he tosses the dodgeball up in the air, and backspikes the ball towards Sigma. "I'm fine, dear. It won't even bruse."

Dr. Light passes the ball to Sigma.

"I maintain. Thomas is made of sterner stuff. He is strangely stubborn for a human. Like most of the Maverick Hunter Oligarchy." He puts himself in position as the ball comes his way -- not launching himself airborne this time, but dealing it a crashing right hand -- once more sending it at high velocity towards Storm Owl, meaning to tag him in the beak with it if at all possible. Might as well have fun.

Sigma throws his dodgeball, striking Storm Owl.

You currently have only 5 hits left. Keep dodging!

The ball bounces around before being grabbed by Storm Owl.

Off at the ref's table, Raymond quite visibly winces at the TV. He then perks his head and turns to the arena. "Nobody's cheated so far, right?" He almost looks worried as he marks another couple of checks on his clipboard.

Storm Owl is about to agree with Sigma about Dr. Light's strength, but instead winds up getting smacked square (yup, you guessed it) right where Sigma was aiming: The beak. Too bad, he had all sorts of previous examples ready to cite regarding Dr. Light's character. Storm Owl was simply unable to move quick enough, and is sent smack on his tushie on the dodgeball arena. "No." he replies to Raymond, taking it to be a serious question. Storm Owl picks up the motionless ball and, as if seeking to demonstrate just how strong Light is, throws it at the old man as hard as he can. Battle and Chase: Hitting old men in the face with balls. God I love this time of year!

Storm Owl performs a Super Throw, striking Dr. Light.

Dr. Light is out of the game!

The ball ricochets back to Storm Owl.

Dr. Light is...

Obliterated. Aah! Super Throw! Light's knocked right into the stands! Or something. Light sits up, chuckleing and whipeing a little..uh...red spit from his lip. "My! What a throw! Haven't felt like that since Crusher Mulligan gave me his one-two."

Attraction Bunny smiles brightly "Oh, I'm so glad. I wasn't trying to hit too hard, you know?" As Storm Owl gets his shot in, drops her jaw. "Wow..."

Storm Owl winds up getting the ball right back to him after knocking poor Dr. Light on the ground. "Nnn... Hypothesis: My earlier conclusion regarding Thomas Light's strength may have been in error..." Way to prove Sigma and me wrong, Santa. I hope you're happy. Storm Owl, knowing that the point of this match is to test their skills rather than win win win, tosses the ball lazily to Attraction. "...you may have been correct." he admits. Storm Owl passes the ball to Attraction Bunny.

Barely having time to grunt to himself in a satisfied manner as to his attempt at Storm Owl's beak, Sigma finds his partner utterly...obliterated. Nonetheless, he actually throws Doctor Light a good salute -- peering to him for but a moment -- keeping one eye on the ball. "Everything functional, Thomas?"

Dr. Light blinks, scratching his head. "Well, I think I broke a few bleechers."

Whistling to himself as Light gets hammered, Raymond claps a bit. "That's good, that's good. Keeping it clean. Looks like Dr. Light's out, now, though, so Sigma's in a hard place." He checks off more things on his clipboard.

Attraction Bunny shakes her head "I didn't really want to be right..." she admits. The ball back in her hands, she looks to Sigma. "Okay, now stay still for a moment." And the ball is sent flying.

Storm Owl adds, "My apologies, Doctor. It was an error in my judgement." he says, scolding himself for the mistake. Storm's harder on himself than he is on his troopers, and that's saying quite a bit.

Attraction Bunny throws her dodgeball, striking Sigma.

The ball bounces around before being grabbed by Storm Owl.

Unfortunatly enough, Sigma is doing just that -- busy talking to Doctor Light, when the ball bounces off of his armored chestplate. This elects a grunt, and a sort of growling sound; puncuated as he holds his hand up to the doctor, then turns back into the game proper -- shaking his fist.

Storm Owl blinks as Attraction scores a hit on Sigma, and the ball bounces straight back to him, stopping neating in front of the Fortress V Commander's feet. Storm pauses just long enough to calculate the odds of that happening the way it did, and peers over at Attraction. Interested to see if the same plan will work twice, Storm Owl once more tosses the ball to Attraction. IT'S THE BUNNY VERSUS SIGMA!!

Storm Owl passes the ball to Attraction Bunny.

Attraction Bunny blinks. She hit Sigma? Wow. She's darn lucky that Sigma didn't catch it, cause she's a little stunned to avoid a toss. As is, she has a hard enough time catching the gentle toss from Storm Owl. "Okay, here we go." Toss!

Attraction Bunny throws her dodgeball, striking Sigma.

The ball bounces around before being grabbed by Sigma.

This time, fortunatly for Attraction Bunny, someone in the audience yells out something derogatory about Sigma, his supposed mother and even his supposed dog. Briefly turning to remonstrate, Sigma is struck right fairly at the top of his armored scalp -- electing another shake of his fist and a resolution to pay better attention. Wordlessly, the ball is tossed upwards, and sent towards Storm Owl with a vicious slap -- aiming for his belly.

Sigma performs a Super Throw, striking Storm Owl.

The ball ricochets back to Sigma.

Storm Owl blinks again and looks at Attraction Bunny. "My estimation regarding certain things have been considerably inaccurate, it would s- UGH!" Storm Owl gets pegged right in his big round belly, and Storm is knocked clear off his feet and slides along the ground, very nearly out of the field of play. Just a few more inches, and he would have been knocked out of the match! Storm Owl crawls back into position, not particularly eager to let another strike push him all the way out.

Sigma does not hesitate as the ball veritably rockets away from his right hand, setting himself into a position to recieve it. Alas, as it bounces off of Storm Owl's abdomen it streaks towards the out of bounds line. Uncaring if it is cricket or not, Sigma dissapears in an activation of blink systems -- catching the ball on it's return, playing both sides of his own court. A villanous grin is on his lips as he tosses it upwards again -- knocking it right back towards the same person he just beaned.

Sigma performs a Super Throw, striking Storm Owl.

The ball ricochets back to Sigma.

You currently have 1 hits left.

Attraction Bunny eeps, ears drooping a bit each time Storm Owl is hit. "Maybe you shouldn't estimate so much."

This, ladies and gentlemen, is why Sigma's the mutha****ing leader of the Coalition of Reploid Freedom. Not because of his charisma... not because of his might... not because he's daddy Doppler's son... he's the leader because when the chips are down, he performs. Storm Owl is struck once more before he can get ready for Sigma's blink trick, and once more almost slides out of the court. The war bird doesn't even bother nodding to Attraction as he uprights himself, hovering slightly above the ground. He looks as ready as he can possibly be, and if he goes down, he'll go down standing on his feet.

And still once again, Sigma's raw strength proves to be rather signifigant -- the ball streaking away from his right hand even more powerfully than before. And once again, it riccochets off of avian armour -- and once again, Sigma blinks; dissapearing and reappearing in the opposite side of his own zone. His villanous grin has expanded to an almost scary expression -- the Emperor tossing Doctor Light a thuumbs up as he tosses it upwards still one more time, using his left hand this time for variety -- slamming the ball towards Storm Owl with a pleased growl.

Sigma throws his dodgeball, striking Storm Owl.

Storm Owl is out of the game!

The ball bounces around before being grabbed by Attraction Bunny.

Storm Owl is, at least, as ready as can be. He cannot blame being distracted, or unprepared. No, it's simply Sigma's skill versus Storm Owl's skill, and the latter pales when compared to the former. Storm Owl tracks the Emperor's movements, and dives to the side as the ball is hurled towards him. The dodgeball barely hits Storm on the leg, grazing him as it travels on its way to Attraction. Storm doesn't even try and argue the point, and leaves the field of play. "It is all up to you, Attraction." He says.

Raymond, having been watching the TV again for some time, shouts out, "You'll all be interested to know Hard Man won the gold in the Sandbag hit!" He looks up, just in time to see Storm get nailed a few times. "Dayumn. That's harsh. Still...Out is out." He keeps going on his clipboard, merrily marking away with the pen.

Attraction Bunny grabs up the ball as it bounces, frowning as she finds herself standing up against the big scary Maverick dude. *glup* "Hope you're okay Storm." she calls over her shoulder before turning back to the match. Okay, concentrate. Tossaroonie!

Attraction Bunny throws her dodgeball at Sigma, but he dodges it. The ball is grabbed by Sigma.

Sigma grunts to himself as Storm Owl is removed from the match. A halfhearted slaute is curiously thrown towards him, before he sets himself to recieve the return toss of Attraction Bunny -- and recieve it he does, sidestepping; letting it bounce once off of the backboard before taking it within his hands and breaking into a short jog. He tosses it some six feet in the air, leaping after it, hitting a wicked blow on it; sending it whistling towards the Repliforce Bunny.

Sigma throws his dodgeball at Attraction Bunny, but she dodges it. The ball is grabbed by Attraction Bunny.

Storm Owl inclines his head. He's been very impressed with Attraction's performance against the biggest and best of all Reploids on the weaker side of General - as proven just a day or two again. HAH! All Storm Owl managed to do was beat the tar out of an old geezer who's past his prime and probably has to go to the bathroom every five minutes.

"Eek!" Attraction hops to the side, her cottontail just barely avoiding the whistling ball. Turning, she fumbles for the rebound, managing to capture the ball. Taking it in her hands, she summons up her energy, and tosses!

Attraction Bunny throws her dodgeball, striking Sigma.

The ball bounces around before being grabbed by Sigma.

Sigma is unsurprisingly feeling somewhat agressive, and apparently overconfident considering the cute appearance of his remaining opponent. As such, he actually does not attempt to dodge; instead reaching out and catching the ball in both hands.... chuckling to himself. It's sort of an evil.. "Heh...Heh...." As he tosses the ball up, and strikes it towards her with surprising force -- seeming to enjoy this, curiously enough.

Sigma throws his dodgeball, striking Attraction Bunny.

The ball bounces around before being grabbed by Attraction Bunny.

Attraction Bunny is pushed back by the hit with an "Ack!" Okay, just one hit. She can get through this. "Dodge and throw." she murmurs to herself "Just gotta remember that." Luckily the rebound is close, and the bunny grabs the ball. Here we go again. Bunny power!

Attraction Bunny throws her dodgeball at Sigma, but he dodges it. The ball is grabbed by Sigma.

Just dodge and throw, indeed -- against one of the world's most powerful. He certianly seems in his element though, waiting for the ball to almost strike him before daringly blinking out of the way; reappearing to catch the thing as it bounces free from the backboard. "I apologize, but I need to end this quickly. I have much to do."

Sigma throws his dodgeball, striking Attraction Bunny.

The ball bounces around before being grabbed by Attraction Bunny.

Attraction Bunny is smacked again, poor bunny "Okay, I'll try to be more accurate so you can go home." Grabbing the ball, she tosses it back.Attraction Bunny throws her dodgeball, striking Sigma. The ball bounces around before being grabbed by Sigma.

Sigma is so surprised, it would seem, by Attraction Bunny that he forgets to dodge -- the ball landing almost in slow motion in his hands. His eyes widen, and he growls yet again. "Yes." He states, in a tone that is as dry as the sahara. "You do that." He returns fire though, smacking it in towards her legs....

Sigma throws his dodgeball, striking Attraction Bunny.

The ball bounces around before being grabbed by Sigma.

Sigma contemplates cruelty as the ball bounces back to him -- considering if he should make a light through, or really whallop it. A quick glance at the scoreboard, and then at his internal chrononometer suggests the latter however, and he tosses the ball upwards -- slapping it hard towards the Bunny. In all reality, weather she wins, or looses, she's done amazingly well.

Sigma performs a Super Throw, striking Attraction Bunny.

The ball ricochets back to Sigma.

Attraction Bunny eeps! Again she's hit. Poor little bunny girl.

And once again -- Sigma aims yet another blow towards her, idly wondering if it's possible to actually clobber someone to death with a dodgeball. Whilst entirely unlikely, it is a plesant thought.

Sigma throws his dodgeball, striking Attraction Bunny.

Attraction Bunny is out of the game!

The ball bounces around before being grabbed by Sigma.

Attraction Bunny is actually wondering the same thing. Hope this doesn't hurt too much. The bunny is thrown from her feet at the strike. "Wow... he's got quite the arm on him." she murmurs, climbing to her feet.

Raymond snaps out of a light slumber, refocusing on the game. "Oh, right, looks like Sigma's the winner, as Attraction Bunny is knocked out!" He checks a few things on the clipboard, and then stands up. "Alright everyone. You can go home now. Show's over." He takes his own advice, and heads for the stairs, clipboard in hand.

Storm Owl steps back into the arena. "You did well, Attraction," he states. Although it may not sound like it, this is high praise indeed coming from Storm Owl. The engineer did far better than the war bird. Storm turns to Sigma and says, "A worthwhile match. You performed as I expected." He looks to Santa and inclines his head. "Good day, Doctor."

Sigma actually takes the time to bow to Storm Owl, before turning back to Doctor Light -- waving his hand at him. "Do not forget. You owe me something." And with that, he waves to the crowd; blinking out to parts unknown.

Attraction Bunny grins brightly. "I did do pretty well, didn't I? Wow, maybe I've found myself a new hobby." She waves to Sigma and Dr. Light "Thanks for the awesome match. Kept me on my toes, that's for sure."
