Thoughts

* I think I've found out why good women are hard to come by these days. I think it's because so many guys are "so big and tough" and do lots of "hip" stuff and treat their women like crap. Women aren't used to being cherished and respected, so we few that aren't jerks are overlooked because it almost scares them. Anyone else wonder why the jerks get all the girls?

* Running is great to relieve stress or make you not so angry, but swimming...swimming is great when you are just downright depressed. You can go to the pool, put on some goggles, jump in the pool, and cry your eyes out and no one will know. "Why are your eyes red?" "Oh it's just the chlorine." Try it sometime if you need a good cry and don't want to do it in front of everyone. On top of that, you can get a good workout. Take it from a swimmer who knows. :)

* Why do we have to speak English?
An officer in the U.S. Naval reserve was attending a conference that included admirals from both the U.S. Navy and the French Navy. At a cocktail reception, he found himself in a small group that included personnel from both navies.
The French admiral started complaining that whereas Europeans learned many languageds, Americans learned only English. He then asked, "Why is it that we have to speak English in these conferences rather than you speak French?"
Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied, "Maybe it's because the Brits, Canadians, Aussies, and Americans arranged it so you would not have to speak in German." The group became silent. :)
