Every
band room can use some monitors. We use these so whom ever is drumming
can hear what's going on. That way we don't have to crank up our amps and
go def. These are made out of 1/2" plywood and 5/8" particle board. They
are made for a 12" woofer, 3.5" tweeter and a 2" port. To check out the

In the picture you can see one assembled and caulked and the other has
been covered with carpet. The Baffle is recessed an inch. I got the woofers
out of an old pair of home stereo speakers. Not the highest quality
speakers but that's the drummers problem.
Here
you can see the speakers, grills, and ports have been installed. The 1/4"
jacks are on the tweeter and port side so that if you decide to use them
for PA speakers the jack would be on the top rather than the bottom which
would make it hard to use.
