You have that special something that touchs many everyday,
That same special something that will never go away.
You're the kind of person everyone wants to meet,
The kind that is great, compassionate, and can not be beat.

You're the teacher, the one who gives knowledge,
You have the skills that they do not teach you in college.
You give them direction and wisdom above all,
You do everything, and go beyond the call.

Has anyone told you that you are great,
That you deserve a prize for everyday you awake.
Your just that special, to everyone around you,
You find the way to accomplish what no one else can do.

You are all they have, you are it,
Don't get flustered, angry, or upset.
It will come..., the reward in which you seek
That a student you remember comes back to kiss your cheek.

You'll look, you'll laugh, and you'll shed a tear,
Because you will know, for that one reason, why you are here.
