Pretzel Salad

Lynn's Pretzel Salad

This is so delicious, it's hard decide if it is salad or dessert!

2 cups pretzels, crushed
3/4 cup margarine, softened
3 tablespoons sugar
8 ounces cream cheese
1 cup sugar
12 ounces cool whip, thawed
2 cups boiling water
1 6 oz. package jello, strawberry
1 10 oz. package frozen strawberries

Combine crushed pretzels, margarine, and 3 tablespoons of sugar and press into a 13 X 9 X 2" baking dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes. Cool. Combine cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, and cool whip; pour over cooled crust; chill. Combine gelatin with 2 cups of boiling water and frozen strawberries. Stir well. Refrigerate, until it begins to set. Pour over cream cheese mixture. Chill 5 hours, or until firm
