Oysters Romano

2 servings

12 each oysters, shucked and on the half shell
2 slices bacon, cut into 1" pieces
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
2 tablespoons margarine, melted
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
6 tablespoons cheese, grated Romano, Parmesan or Provolone
1/2 teaspoon fresh chives, for garnish

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place oysters on the half shell on baking sheet. Top each oyster with 1 piece bacon. Bake 10 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Meanwhile, combine bread crumbs, butter and garlic salt in small bowl. Spoon mixture over oysters; top with cheese. Bake 5 to 10 minutes or until cheese melts. Serve immediately. Garnish with chives, if desired.
