Hamburger Casserole

6 servings
This dish, served with Cornbread makes a complete meal.

 

1 pound lean ground beef
1 each onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 10 3/4 ounce can cream of broccoli soup
1 10 oz. package frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1 1/2 cups extra sharp cheddar cheese, grated
 

In a medium sauce pan, saute ground beef, salt, pepper and onion; drain well and spread in a 2-quart casserole dish. In a medium bowl combine soup and vegetables and spread over meat. Sprinkle top with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
