Cabbage Soup

8 servings

1 pound ground chuck, or venison
1 16 oz. can tomato, chopped
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
5 cups water
1 cup onion, chopped
5 each potatoes, quartered
1 head cabbage, chopped
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons black pepper

In a dutch oven brown meat; drain well. Add remaining ingredients, stir and bring to a boil. Turn to simmer and cook for one hour or until all vegetables are tender. Adjust seasonings to taste.
