Loki was born premature. His legs were weak and he could not stand for very long to nurse. We had to hold him up every 30 minutes to nurse. He also could not maintain his body heat, so my girls slept with him the first two nights to keep him warm. He was thriving and gaining weight until February 5th. On that morning we found him weak, in pain & running a high fever.
He had to be taken to Alamo Pintado Veterinary Hospital in Solvang. He had developed an infection in his bloodstream that went to his joints. This is very serious, so all positive thoughts will be appreciated!
