My all time favorite starship has been the U.S.S. Enterprise-A. The Constitution Class Refit has made for a great design, and makes for a good picture. With the background, I used three different nebula backgrounds, and changed the opacity on 2 of them to blend into the third, stronger background. My main emphasis is on the starship itself.

My 2nd in a small series of Starship Pictures. The U.S.S. Excelsior made a good strong appearance in this picture. With a combination of Lightning and Nebula backgrounds, I tried to show the kind of power the Excelsior Class ships were first thought to have. And being the prototype for the new Transwarp drive, the Excelsior showed it's power. |

Third in the series. I've grown a fascination for the Miranda Class Starship, especially after watching the movie: Star Trek II-The Wrath of Khan. Seeing the fight scenes between the U.S.S. Enterprise and the U.S.S. Reliant, it showed a good portion of how this starship operates, and gives off a certain mystery behind it's design. Though the Oberth Class starships are the official science vessels, the Miranda Class ships are now being used as science vessels. |

Fourth in my Starship series. The U.S.S. Oberth was the given name to this ship. As with most ships, the first ship of it's class is given it's class name. Used widely as scince ships, the Oberth Class ship has next to nothing for defensive and offensive capabilities, but has everything under the sun for scientific research. |

Fifth and last in my Starship series. The U.S.S. Defiant was the first starship of it's class, though not given it's class name. People think it's class is the Defiant class, but in actuality, it's an Escort Class ship. Designed to fight battles against the Borg, the Defiant and many other vessels soon became outfitted with other abilities due to the large increase in Dominion activity. Space Station Deep Space Nine was nearly taken over, as the Dominion fought against the Federation, Klingon, and Romulan fleets. In a long grueling war, the victory went to those defending the space station. The Defiant was destroyed in the battle, but was soon replaced by the U.S.S. Sao Paolo, but later re-named the U.S.S. Defiant by the request of Captain Sisko, Captain of Deep Space Nine.
