| October 16, 2002 -At Last my digital camera came, but I couldnt wait I already started to take her apart. the real grille was pretty rusty and I had to use my angle grinder to take off. I plan on getting a Stainless-Steel one. The front bumper also needs to be repainted. I will also be converting the Head lights to xenon Halo lights, and I plan on converting Parking/Turn signal Lights to LED along with all the side marker lights, door lights, and rear Tail lights. The radiator will Also be replaced With a 4 core (preferably Cadillac). |

Here I took off the rear lovure and engine cover along with the tail light. I removed only one Taillight so far to draw up plans on converting to LED. I plan on Removing The whole Rear bumper next week or so. I plan on Putting Quad exhaust tips on, somthing Like what is found on Most Cadillac Eldorados and Sevilles. notice my (so original) vanity BACK2FTR plates. |

If only my camera came 10 min earlier you would have seen the Interior compleat. I took out the center console just 10 min before the UPS truck pulled up with my camera. I removed the center console because I will be replacing the shifter and radio. The transmission I plan to use will be able to be driven as a fully automatic or an auto-manual (Tiptronic manual +/- shifting). I plan on getting XM radio otherwise known as commercial free satellite radio. |

| October 29, 2002 This Is the Last shot You will See of the Engine In its runing condition STILL IN THE CAR. The engine Is not all that bad, when its in a good mood. seriously the engine has a mind of its own, it starts when it wants to, drives when it wants to, and overheat for no reason. when its in a bad mood I wouldn't race a bicycle thats how bad she accelerates. I am going to hold on to the original Engine And transmssion (Just in case) for the future. maybe I'll have it rebuilt and sell it with the car In the FAR future Here is my new engine still wraped up (dont want to expose her to the elements... Yet). This Is a 300HP Cadillac Northstar engine Out of a wrecked 2001 Cadillac Eldorado ETC with only 26,000 miles (exactly 10,000 miles less than my DeLorean... funny). It is complete with all accesorys and all wiring and computer (much more complicated than the PRV DeLorean engine). Its going to be a tricky, long and expensive conversion But I am commited and I plan to have her back on the road by MAY 2003. |

| November 12, 2002 New camera and its already giving me problems. sorry for the fuzzyness, I guess I'll have to actually read the manual. any way I began to remove all the nuts and bolts Holding the engine in the car, along with all the hoses connected to the engine. I also removed the rear fascia like it says in the workshop manual for obvious reasons. I probably should have removed the Impact absorber (it didnt like having the engine rest on it). I later removed it, It was getting in the way. I had to wait a while for the engine hoist to come but here it is. I actually had a little bit of a difficult time taking it out (stupid me left the car on the ramps). I also decided to leave the engine bolted to the Transmission and take them out together. Its funny how many times I had to go back and realize I forgot to unconnect a hose or somthing. in the end what we did was ge the engine high enough and roll the car off the ramps from under the engine. 21 Years of grease just sitting there finally revealed. I will have to do somthing about that. I also found some cracks in the epoxy coating. I will have to fix that too. before I fix I have to clean. I plan on putting bigger coolant pipes all around the car and I have to rework the a/c system. I am going to also Repaint the entire engine bay, but before I do that there are many little flaws in the fiberglass that will need some filling. I have thought about lifting the whole car off the Frame so I car repair certin parts and have easier access to the fuel lines. We'll See |

| November/December It was time to unwrap the Big Beautiful Northstar! WOW What an awsome engine This is. I fell in love with the Northstar engine in 1995 when my Mother bought me a 1:18 scale die-cast model of a '95 seville, and when I opened the litle toy hood and saw the detailed plastic engine I fell in love. It just looked so neat and presentable. I had to do some research on this engine but I learned alot and it made me like it even MORE. Its and engine that belongs on display. It looks like no other engine except for the Aroura 4.0L which is made by Northstar. The Northstar always looked like a show off engine to me. The way its packed in you dont really see a mess of wires all over the place. Its very dressed up and neat, But the 2000-UP Northstars are even more dressed up with the absance of spark plug wires, everything is nicley package and concealed, which is what really turns me on about this motor. Plus who can forget its impressive 32 valves pumping out 300 Horsepower all packed in an all Aluminum block. Over all I think it one of the best engines out there! I decided It would be much eaisier and the conversion would be alot more succesful if I remove the frame giving me better access to some vital components that may need replacing. It wasnt all that hard it just unbolts but you need patients jacking each of the 4 jacks just a little at a time. I always had a problem with the passanger seat not moving back, so I took it out in hopes to repair it. I still have to clean out the inside of the car (it might have been easier before I jacked up the body! Oh well). I got this shot when I went in for a lunch break, after words I'll put the seat in the shed. Too bad I dont have a garge, maybe that will be my next project! |

| MUCH BETTER. November went pretty slow with not much accomplished except for a good cleaning and removal of the radiator |
