My Career in Broadcasting

I recently started my job at WBFF Fox 45 in Baltimore.  I am a video editor for the WB News at 6:30 and the Fox News at Ten.  Its a fun job, though very stressful at times, but i have worked hard to get where i am early in my career in broadcasting

This is the equipment i work with at Fox.  Its a video editor for DVC(digital video cassettes) i work with the switcher which is the closest thing on the table, the editor which is next and the audio console.  The two decks to the left are also used when you have to put effects into the video.  The 2 right decks are used for normal editing.

I also work part-time at Newstalk 630 WMAL in Washington D.C.  I am a board op and my job basically consists of playing syndicated shows and inserting commercials and running live News reports and traffic reports.  I am not on-air, but one day hope to be.

This is the audio board that i work with primarily at WMAL.  It is connected to a touch screen computer that you can't see in this picture.  Its not easy to operate, buts its not as hard as it looks.

I would like to personally thank John Jeppi and the staff at The Broadcasting Institute of Maryland for teaching me what i needed to know and for taking the time to give me the confidence to step into the field of broadcasting.  If you are interested in getting into broadcasting and have a willingness to learn go to there website by clicking the icon above and learn more about the school.

this is the larger studio at WMAL
