John Wesley Hardin was born in Texas ca. 1853, the son of a Methodist minister.

Cut a bloody trail across the state until 1895. He killed at least 41 people in his career. Hardin was acutely psychotic and seemed to have no compunctions about committing cold-blooded-murder.

He was killed in 1895 by a group of lawmen hired to kill him by the husband of a woman that he had recently become intimate with.

John Wesley Hardin: A psychotic fellow who gets my vote for the most effective and violent gunfighter of the Old West period. His resume` includes at least 41 killings!
