Vb Application(Development) remote application that could update dailysales Via email. Application allowed for entry of data to an mde file sent by email to the user then being sent back to the Cast Member working at Disneys. This application would then allow for the Update and entry of data from the mde to the Main Access Databases at Disney. September 2000 to March 2001 - Decision Consultants, Inc. Client: Walt Disney World IS/Sale and Marketing Consultant/Support/Programmer Backup and support for (DRC) Disney Reservation Center I.S. Support Team Using PC Anywhere, Access 2.0, 95 97 and Visual Basic 6.0. Built several small applications and modified others for better performance and automation of reporting process. Gathered information from text files, Infosource, FoxPro Excel Spreadsheets, user input, files FTPed from mainframe other Access databases, SQL 7.0 and several other forms of data collection. Database applications maintained time spent on phones, calls taken, sales made, rooms booked, nights booked, number of occupants and then reported on this information gathered and then sent to the different departments in Orlando and Tampa. Databases were written in script as to allow for no user interface and could be executed thru autoexec macro and Norton Scheduler. Some minor Back Up for a SCO Unix box. Most of this work was simply the files with some shell script functions to see that all files were being or had been processed daily and correcting any problems the users might have. March 2000 Unemployeed (SelfEmployeed) Consultant/Programmer Worked with a Client to develop requirements, analys documents and developed system specifications for an application that created sales quotas based on various inputs, calculated numerous cost variables and calculated sales price and additional sales information. This was a split Database developed using MS Access 2000. Used Forms, SubForms, Queries, SubQueries, macros and numerous calculated controls. Developed reports using Access that the users could use to fax quotations to customers. October 1999 to January 2000 Metro Consultant Used MS Access 97 to develop an application that kept track of 200+ different products and all orders sold and shipped by the 32 agents representing Alcoa to over 2000 customers worldwide. Used calculated controls, macros, numerous SQL queries and modules. February 1998 to October 1999 Metro At Lockheed Martin Consultant Completed numerous small and large projects using Visual Basic 4/5/6, MS Access and Oracle. Created an application that parsed a file or specific criteria and split the data into four files that then updated an Oracle database. (VB 4.0) Developed an application to run monthly with little or no user intervention creating a log file of error records for user review and continued processing. Built several small Visual Basic 5.0 applications that processed data from text files created by user data entry. Based on data criteria, imported and exported data to an Oracle database. (Files were FTPed from Mainframe to server) If files were lost I would heve to enter the mainframe and retrieve backups and send them to the server for reprocessing. Projects were developed on Windows NT 4.0, Windows 95 and Windows 98 platforms. Requested by Client to take over and complete a Visual Basic 6.0 project called HMO. Heavy Research of a Help Desk Application called Quintus (very similar to VB Script). Some work and an understanding of Mitem View was Required to interface this application with the Mainframe and Oracle. Designed numerous complex SQL Plus. Queries (use of SQL PLUS daily for development and support) Finished and modified an existing Access II application then converted this database to Access 97. This project was designed for the accounting department to keep track of expenses for different departments throughout the Lockheed Corporation. Built several small MS Access 97 database applications for the eight different departments at the Lakeland, Florida office dealing with payroll, retirement and Health Care Benefits for all Lockheed Martin and GE employees.
