Welcome to the home of

This was my 1971 Dodge Demon 340.

It was born as a real Hemi-Orange 340 4-speed car, but was converted to street-racer status with the addition of a 10-point roll cage and wheel tubs.

The front fenders were swapped with fiberglass replacements and the inner fenders were removed.

The car was powered by a built 340 (12.5:1 compression, 292 .557" solid cam, etc...) hooked to an 833 4 speed transmission and followed up by a 5.38 (not a typo!) Sure Grip geared 8 3/4 axle.

Best 1/4 mile times were in the low 12's at over 110 mph.

"All Throttle, No Bottle!"

This view shows off the two
Holley Blue fuel pumps and the associated plumbing.

This is also the view that most Chevy drivers saw...

"Only wimps wear Bowties!"

As you can see, the car wore many different hoods while i had it. Note: The police still recognized it regardless of what hood it happened to be wearing.

Perhaps it was the sound of the 3.5" 2 chamber Flowmaster mufflers that tipped them off...

Unfortunately this photo is too dark to make out the details of the roll cage and interior appointments.

If you could see inside, you'd see the two fiberglass racing buckets and 4 point harnesses and a multitute of Autometer gauges.

This is a picture of the cake my girlfriend baked for me on my birthday one year.

It tasted as good as it looked!

Here is my Demon in Ottawa's annual Autorama car show.

Parked next to it are Gil Romard's 1970 Dodge Coronet and Steve Beckstead's 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger.

The cars were on display for the Capital Area Mopars car club that I was involved with.

Check out CAM's website!

This picture was taken the day I sold the car to a fellow Mopar-racer who was retiring his 1975 Roadrunner (that he purchased new!) from 1/4 mile duty.

The Demon was to inherit that cars 440 and 727 drivetrain along with its 4.10 gears.
