STEP ONE
- Biography -
If you wish to Role Play, you will need to write a character biography, or BIO and send it to our Division Leader, Owen Glendawr (Aka OG).
This Bio will need to contain a number of things..A brief personal description and brief history - (things like appearance, height, birthplace, any signifcant events before the Howling).
The Howling is the change that takes place from human into Wolfbrother/sister. It includes hearing the thoughts and seeing images of the wolves, changing of eye color, heightened senses ect. This change will happen between the ages of around 19-22. The earliest it will ever happen is at the age of 18. Any earlier and the person could not cope with the traumatic experience. Now, the usual scenario is that of exhile or persection from society. A newly changed Kin will be cast from his family, dubbed a darkfriend by his friends, ect. When you are writing your Bio, try and think of some inventive ways to bring your character through the Howling. Creativity, as well as showing a good writing style, helps when it comes to getting your bio approved. Try and be unique.
This is how your Bio should end. Where ever you are, whatever you're doing, as soon as you go through the Howling and touch the minds of wolves, those wolves send us Trackers a message to let us know to come and find you. So not long after your strange transition, you will be approached by a person with similar golden eyes. Make sure that you finish your Bio with this encounter, but don't mention any names or gender. This gives us flexibility as to which of the Trackers comes to get you, as we have both male and female.
When you've finished your Bio, it's a good idea to leave it for a day or so and then coming back and reading it again. Look for weak points, and fix them up *before* you send it off to WolfLover. When you feels it's apt, then send your Bio in a Wordpad document to one of the people listed at the top of the page. They can be very busy at times, and it may take some time for them to read your Bio and get back to you. Please be patient, and try not to hassle them too much about it. (A friendly email asking for constructive critisism is always fine, though) If you're very new to DM or just the WolfKin in general, then I suggest you spend this time waiting making friends on the OOC message boards.
When your Bio is approved, you will recieved an email saying you have the 'ok' to begin Role Playing. What then? You'll need to organise a Tracker to come and find you. Talk to either myself or one of the other Trackers, and we will arrange for someone to come and find you, according to how/where you left off in your Biography. What will follow, is an RP thread involving your encounter with this Tracker, and your journey into the Wolkin Stedding. From there, you will begin basic training from the three main factions of the Kin - Ranger, Sage, and Watcher skills will be taught, and from there you will choose your future path as a member of the Wolfkin..
