1. Define humanism in as much detail as you can, explaining its many aspects.

2. Create an animated PowerPoint slide demonstrating how one of the paintings by one of the great artists listed below typifies the changes and innovations in art introduced during the Renaissance artists.

You should consider the following:

3. Describe the innovations & changes in the techniques and subject matter of art introduced during the Italian Renaissance.

4. Explain the motivations for the early European voyages of overseas discovery and discuss the impact these voyages had upon Europe.

5. Discuss how the ideals and concerns of the Northern Renaissance differed from those of the Italian Renaissance.

6. Create a dialogue between Machiavelli and Erasmus in which they discuss the conduct of Congressman Gary Condit in the Shaundra Levy case.

7. Write a paragraph discussing the major concerns and ideas of each of the following humanists (2 paragraphs total).Use your texts as well as primary sources that will be distributed.
