We are The Arizona Wilsons, David, Barbara, Carl and Peter, Oh and let's not forget Sparky, our Italian Greyhound. As we individually and collectively struggle through our daily lives we know we have each other and most importantly we have Our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus to see us through them.
David is a house husband and takes care of the home. His major interests are genealogy, computers and reading. Genealogy he has been doing for just over 30 years, having learned from his father as an early teen. He has worked on his wife's family, the Putnam's his Grandmother's family, the Russell's, and has also taken a look at his father-in-law's family which include such names as Zumdahl, Gerwig, Fosha (Voshage) and Kaney. With computers he mostly enjoys working with software but also knows his way around the hardware. He also loves to read, primarily contemporary Christian Novels with some Tom Clancy thrown in for good measure.
Barbara is an RN with nearly 25 years of service. She has earned her BSN from Grand Canyon State College and currently is working in the Same Day Unit at the local VA Medical Center. Currently her favorite past time is cross stitching. She has created works for several co-workers and family members, often giving them as Birthday or Christmas presents. She also enjoys the restoration of old furniture. This is something she learned from her mother and when she has the time to put into the work she does an incredible job. Mostly she has been invaluable in life to her husband David.
Carl and Peter are our two children still at home. Carl will be entering the 11th grade this year (August 2008) and Peter 6th grade. Peter attends a nearby school and enjoys playing PS2 and sports. He was involved in the running club this past year and intends to do so this coming year again. He did very well at it for his first year of running, completing just over 30 miles during the season. Carl is is almost the complete opposite of Peter. He attends an online school from home and would rather spend time on a computer then with people, something we are working on with him. He is very intelligent, as are both boys, and does well in school when he wants to. He loves animals and has recently joined an archaeology group that meets out in Queen Creek once a month. All of our children are loved very much and with God's Blessing on them they will live and learn and grow into happy and healthy adults who rely on the Lord. |
