Play'n Spoons
As Historian at Spring Mill we have been doing some programs on "Pioneer Toys and Play". What would they have done for entertainment in the 1830s? Most of the "Toys" would have been simple hand made items such as the "Ball & Cup" which I will soon be showing how to make. A lot of the games were work related such as cornhusking, spinning, quilting, maybe even making games of rail splitting and "Goose Picking". Also what we might call crafts today were necessary for survival such as quilting and making candles. This may give you an idea where I am going with this page. Hope you enjoy!
Try a game of "Tic Tac Toe"?
