View east of Nob Hill. The three main streets that can be seen in the center are (left to right) Clay, Sacramento and California. The Transamerica building can be seen in the background at the end of Clay St. This whole area from Franklin and California all the way east to the bay and north to Telegraph Hill burned in the aftermath of the 1906 earthquake. That's why you will find little if any of San Francisco's classic Victorian architecture in this area. |

View northeast of Russian Hill. Coit Tower (Telegraph Hill) can be seen in the background to the right. The tall white apartment building on the left is 1000 Green St. It was the tallest building in SF when built around 1930. The penthouse apartment rents for $11,000 per month. |

View north of Alcatraz between the 2 tall buildings. The land mass beyond Alcatraz is Angel Island. The one beyond that is Pt Richmond. |

This shot had just enough light left to allow me to get a good shot of the moon over Nob Hill without having to set up the tripod. It's not the most perfectly focused picture, but it's still a cool shot. |
