| We�re On Our Way! Visiting churches these past five months has greatly encouraged us. One of the most refreshing times came from an unlikely source in our thirty-something minds � a teen group! We walked into the blaring heavy metal music greeted by �The Rules� for the meeting � no weapons, illegal drugs, public displays of affection� at least those are the ones that I can remember. After a noisy, over-stimulating re-introduction of �The Rules�, the worship time began. And before it was over, our hearts were transported into His presence as we glorified God together. The same crowd with their skateboards, torn clothes and multicolored hair was now literally spread out before the Lord in soul-felt worship. I can�t begin to describe how that scene lifted my spirit. One of the songs they sang said: I'm giving you my heart, all that is within I lay it all down for the sake of You my King I�m giving You my dreams, Laying down my rights I�m giving up my pride For the promise of new life I�m singing You this song I�m waiting at the cross All the world holds dear, I count it all as loss For the sake of knowing You For the glory of Your name To know the lasting joy Even sharing in Your pain And I surrender All to You, all to You Surrender by Marc James Anticipating something exciting, David, Lara, Benjamin and Jonathan |

| Praise & Prayer Requests � Praise that we�re on our way to Cambodia! � Praise for His grace in wrapping up our lives stateside including the sale of our house � Praise that David�s headaches are largely controlled with glasses � Pray for comfort for Lara�s family after the recent loss of her grandfather and, very unexpectedly, her father � Pray that our hearts are open and teachable � Pray for wisdom in raising Benjamin and Jonathan in a developing country � Pray for His continued wisdom and direction as we begin a new stage of our lives in Cambodia Thank you for your prayers!!! |
