Listen to this carefully. This is the applause track to a show. It is only one minute fifty seconds, but runs through the whole show, after each performance.. I purchased this copy as I left the theater. Brought it home and continued with my life. Shortly after the building at which I was living suffered a major fire, coming from the stores below. Myself and other tenants were rendered homeless. The red cross put us up in temporary quarters in a nearby town’s motel. Here I stayed for six months, or slightly more. Trying to keep my sanity and reconstruct some of my life, all my possessions went to storage. Some went to the trash. Then I started to think about a move to Manhatten, where now homeless, I couldn’t retrieve my belongings.
Upon retrieving my belongings and deciding how to break this story I decided to get involved.
On this track are the usual sounds of hands clapping, but along with this coming from the audience are shouts and cheers. Many of them. So many that it is hard to isolate a single group. So listen carefully, you may even pick up more nuances than I.
This is a basic transcript of some of the cheers or cries coming from individuals on the track. Whether they were actually in the audience on the night of the performance, I don’t know, or the product of studio magic later.
