| This can be your story, your outlet. Your story defines you and your position, in relationship to your self, your past, and your current status, in relation to the step groups, as they exist in their present form, today. Here, in a different, type of format than you have been used to, you will have a chance to share your vision or mission statement, about any topic, that you wish to share about, in relation to 12 step horrors as you experienced them. WHAT BETTER WAY TO GAIN SUPPORT, IN THE PUBLIC EYE? SOMETHING THAT THE STEP ORIENTED MEDICAL COMMUNITY HAS BEEN DOING ERRONEOUSLY FOR YEARS. What better way to reach the public, on such important issues? After Congressional Legislation, and Court decisions, there is no more important thing to do. Why limit the amount of knowledge about recovery and step program, CULT abuses to a small group of insiders? So we need your expertise, and input. | The topics are many, and varied. Almost any ex stepper story may be, relevant, as to the current trend and decay that the politically connected, religiously backed, for profit, billion dollar drug treatment industries and 12 step groups, have gone through. It is a bad program, headed down hill from its inception. Topics may include almost anything, here are samples of a few: History of the 12 step organizations, and all previous treatment plans for alcoholism and addiction. The history of addiction in America and Europe may be discussed as well. Current Court cases involving rehabs, and coercion by any part of the system. Court cases and their histories may be discussed. All constitutional issues are relevant. Why the need for more legislation against the current therapeutic policies which have made the steps the State Religion? The validity of Court decisions, and opinions surrounding the statements made for years that the 12 step groups are religious in nature, religions at all. The steps claim to be not religious at all. Why is that? Alternative methods of recovery. Personal stories of triumph over addictions and the step philosophy. Step, CULT deprogramming. Cult data base site http://www.rickross.com/ holds a wealth of information to chose from. Do faith based treatments work? I had heard in a SMART meeting that God isn't needed for addiction treatment to work. Even though it might be nice to have a God in your life. He is not responsible for your addiction or your treatment. Stories of personal abuses in the rooms themselves, by steppers, sponsors, husbands, boyfriends, families etc, as it relates to cult behavior. How the steps isolated you or loved ones from society. CULTS, What defines them? What are the techniques involved in brainwashing, and mind control? What did you have to do in order to get away. How did you face it alone, and become step free and independent? Have other steppers come after you for it, exhibiting CULT behavior. Have any used friends in order to harass you? The steps themselves, their history also. What made them fail? Why do they continue to give out false information, in their public relations. This is not a pro step site. So What is wrong with the written steps and written traditions themselves? Go to it, step by step. AMA and it acceptance of Alcoholism as a disease and its relationship to the disease concept, step oriented method of treatment served up as credible throughout the USA, and Europe. Someone might want to get into the relationship between the step groups and rehabs themselves, in depth. Anti Step Books or other literature which you might have read along the way. Or better yet, books which you have written, Attraction rather than promotion, and why the step concept turns out to full of holes. The statistical successes of the step programs.
