Sept. 1
Well now that I've finally moved into the dorms I can finally put all my worries to rest about getting the infamous "roommate from hell" huh? My two roomies (Gabe and James, for those of you who know me know I was supposed to be rooming with some kid named Oleg Koasjfkajfdiekenaief or something but apparently he got deported j/k) are ok. I don't know if I'll be able to put up with them all year but thats what God made the word fuck for. And I got an hinkling that I'm going to be using that word extensively throughout my tenure at UWM. My other two suitemates (Kurt and Casey) seem better though. Even though they come from a very small town (graduating high school class of about 70 kids) they're pretty social. My first night in Milwaukee sucked about as much as a vacuum convention (whatever). My good friend Ray was the only one of my friends to come up to see me and help me "christen the new crib" my first night there. He might as well have stayed home and saved himself the gas money because as it turns out my fucking (starting already on the fucks) ringer on my phone was broken! Apparently people in Milwaukee can sense when their phone is ringing so they don't need a ringer to let them know someone is calling. So in the end I spent the better part of 2 hours sitting on my bed minus stereo, minus television, minus computer, but most important minus friend., waiting for Ray to call, which he did several times. So by about 10 I had just assumed Ray's mom went postal on him when he asked her if he could visit me, and that he wouldn't be coming so i walked around the empty dorms (and running up and down 23 flights of stairs) and then just went to sleep before 11. The next day was much more eventful, however. I had to be trained for my brand spanking new on-campus job at 10 so I was up and at 'em by 9:55. The next couple hours are blank, mostly because I was just zoning out. By about 3 the endurance test that was my training had ended so I went to go visit my friend Nick who I knew was moving in that day. When I arrived at his dorm he was gone so I left a message for him. I went back to my room and started talking to James (my roomy) who had just starting moving in about 5 minutes before i left for my training. After awhile Nick popped by and I went to help him unpack and talk with his roommate (who seems like a nice guy). We were also playing a little bit of Madden football when his roomy's friends came in. One of them I can honestly say has to be the most neurotic person walking the earth. He seriously laughed at EVERYTHING me and Nick would say. I was about to ask him if he had a life when I realized how well off I was doing and thought better of it. Eventually we couldn't put up with him anymore and just went out all around town. (Nick's brother lives in Mil. so Nick knows the town pretty good) We eventually had to make it back to the dorms for "mandatory meetings" we each had on our floors. Of course I arrive about 15 minutes late just when the meeting's ending. About 9 I stop by Nick's again and we go out to his bro's pad. He wasn't there but I met their friend Justin who is very cool in his own right. We chilled out there til about 1 am (obviously not doing anything illegal) then me and Nick went back to the dorms. Couldn't end up getting to sleep til about 2:30 (I must have been so geeked about orientation tomorrow). Actually I'm claustrophobic and the dorms are extremely small, not a good combo. Next morn I went to my orientation at about 10 (on time for once) and spent a good hour getting lecturing in the finer points of campus life. After that we got to milk each other's fingers. Yeah...that was...yeah. All I can say about that. So when we went to lunch I ditched out and went back to the dorm to watch M.A.S.H. (you know that old war drama/comedy show with the surgeans, whatever) I decided to call my good friend George who had been in Milw. for quite some time already. When I called him he told me that he had tried calling me about 20 times, and I realized that almost everytime he said he called I had been in my room (fucking ringer!). That was the end of that damn ringer! (it was a pretty one sided fight, the ringer got a couple good shots in on me but I pretty much owned its ass) Awhile later I went over to George's place (about 4 blocks off campus which = 8 city blocks) I was over there just about the rest of the day. With cameos by his roommate Ryan, Mandy, and other random people we ran into. I had a fun time over there, although still not really meeting a whole lot of new faces which is my fault. I actually ended up crashing there that night too. (thanks again g, your couch was a lot more comfortable than my bed, sad I know) The next day when I went back to my dorm I grabbed some grub, packed up stuff I needed to take home and than came back with George and Ryan to pick up stuff that I forgot to take up the first time. This weekend in Racine was actually one of the best I have had in awhile. I had a blast hanging out with Mike, Matt, Chase, Nikki, other Matt, and other other Matt. We did about everything fun there was left to do. Tomorrow...(scratch that) today (its bout 3 in da morn) I'm going out to lunch with my 2 aunts, my 2 uncles, and my lil cuz. Then its back up to good ol' Milw. where I have to get ready for school. Then I will be coming back one last time next weekend. (Hopefully I will either get to go to Maddy to visit Ray and J-balla or Green Bay to see Joel) We'll see. After that I'm up there til Halloween when I hope to get up to Maddy again for their little sauree they through up there. I was hoping to go as Ralph Macchio a.k.a. the Karate Kid but we'll see how that works out. I promise none of the other entries will be short-stories so check back in from time to time to see how everything's going. I'm off to a great start! <--sarcasm. Peace out.

Sept. 2
I just got back on campus again today after spending the weekend in Ray-town. I didn't end up getting to bed until about 5:30 in the morning and got woken up around 8:30 in order to go to brunch (great word) with my aunts, uncles and cuz. Then they helped me move all my new shit up here. I showed em some sights and then they left about 4. I called up some peeps and me, George and Ryan wanted to go up to South Ridge. About 10 min into our journey we realized South Ridge was probably closed due to labor day. So we eventually made it back to their apartment after a few detours and wound up killin' Killer Instinct. We were having a pretty good time just eatin, drinkin, and kickin the shit out of things. Then we decided to come into the dorms where we ran into Mandy and Kati. (no thanks to me who is impervious to all other living beings...they had to yell out our names even though we were looking right in their direction) so we just chilled at Mandy's place for awhile. And Ray...just so you know that wasn't Mandy you were talking to, just me and George messing around, although with an assist from Ryan and Mandy. We were just hanging out, talkin, messing round til about 12 at which time we decided to get going, due to our classes tomorrow (and my excessive tiredness from lack of sleep) Its about 12:15 and I'm seriously running on fumes. I have no idea how I haven't passed out yet. Anyway the day was actually much more eventful than it probably sounds, but I still need to get out there and meet new people too. Take care everyone and thanks for reading. We'll be back next week, same college time, same college channel. Peace. (ps- I also just turned in my ResNet Registration today and they say I will have internet by tomorrow but we'll see)

Day 3
Ok...college has now officially started (both in terms of fun and classes). I had my first two classes today and I could actually make it through them without causing some sort of rukus or falling asleep! My American Popular Music class is off the hizzle! We just fucking listened to music and stuff. And my new job is so boring its actually fun(ny that is). For those of you who know how little work I did at Westgate, well imagine that...but with less activity. I seriously got paid to go on the internet! (and visit my own site of course cuz i'm the biggest loser in the world) But I try to strike up a conversation with my fellow employees and its pretty much like when you talk to you pets. You think they're listening but you don't really know because you don't get any feedback. Anyway tonight should turn out to be another entertaining night...no not of Killer Instinct, even though me, Ryan and George did look up how to do some of the characters moves on the internet (losers...the whole lot of us). Anyway on tap tonight is some "mingling" in the pool hall and then if nothing else a movie at the Oriental with another oriental (George). No not really, but I thought it sounded good. I'm extremely hyper. Tomorrow is a very sad day though as my good friend (and producer of Chinese Dinner) is going in for surgery. So I might not be writing for a while because I plan on visiting him very soon. And if you are reading this please keep Max in your thoughts and wish him the best of luck. (He's getting his kidney replaced...when I say it like that it kind of makes him sound like a car or something) Yeah his kidney has seen a lot of milage...needs a new alternator too. Ok. Enough with that annalogy. Anyway I still have to go pick up my books and eat dinner before I go out tonight so I'll see you all later. Peace. (ps i saw the scariest fucking thing today when i was walking to class. There was like a 50 year old white dude with a full beard wearing this radiation glowing-like blue shirt with yellow, blue, and purple jump pants. and a purse. thats right...a purse. i swear to god he looked like he just came from a taping of The Fresh Prince of Bel-air (from the first year it was on) and on another note...obviously i did get my computer hooked up to the net, but now i'm scared that i'll never get to sleep. cuz if i'm not out and about i'll be iming people until like 3 in the morn or workin on this site. so if i'm talking to you and i say i need to get some sleep...please, PLEASE let me get some sleep. thank you and good nite) (pss if anyone wants to send me coasters that would rock! i need coasters! they don't even need to be cool coasters at this point in time. any coaster will do. please remember. coasters. coasters. dave needs coasters. thanks) (psss on one final note. if anyone visits milwaukee...don't go to City Subs! unless subs are supposed to only have bread, tomatoes, and staleness for ingrediants. i guess thats what i get for tying to eat healthy. fuck. later)

Day 4
Well, well, well. Another envigorating day at the office. In case you couldn't tell, that was the most fucking sarcasm I have ever used in my life, and has probably been used in the past 300 years. I spent 4 fucking hours doing jack shit! This job makes it seem like you have to be a fucking rocket scientist or aeronautical engineer or some shit to work at Westgate! For the four hours that I was "working" today I fucking put labels on envelopes and copied letters! And I'm not talking about "Dear Miss management, I really enjoyed screwing all you employees over." type letters...I mean fucking ABC letters! I thought that they only gave jobs this sucky to prisoners. At least the people there are way cool. And my classes that I had today were pretty fun too. I met a couple cool people. Only problem is almost all my TAs have crazy ass fucking names. Take for instance the impecible Suprasith Jarupathirun or the incomprible Ananth Chiravuri. Swear to god, actual TA names. Don't ask me where they from or what one's a guy, cause I couldn't tell ya. Anyway last night I called up my uncle so he could take me, Nick, and Kelsey into town to sign this huge, GINORMUS Homer Simpson standee for our good buddy Max (who goes in for surgery today) I got to see a couple people at work and also got invited to go to the Thursday concert with my good pal Mr. Thoenes! I'm hoping I'll be able to clear my schedule so I can go...but if that date turns out to be bad we could always go to the Taking Back Sunday concert...or both. I need to (repeat) NEED TO take some time off of work already! When we got back into Milwaukee me and Nick just hung out at Kelsey's apartment with her roomy (Katie I think). None-the-less those are some girls with cojones! They just had a fire on their floor this past week and they already have like 20 candles all over their pad. (3 of which I almost knocked over, and one I almost knocked over twice)...keyword being almost ;) Anyway I just got back from work (time 5:42...boo on that) and I'm going out and finding something to do (before yet ANOTHER "mandatory" floor meeting at 8...wtf is up with that?!). (ps. keep them coasters coming!)

Day 5
Yippe-ki-yi-yay! I missed my first class today. It was at 10, but its not like I didn't get up on time because I did. I was just trying to push it to the limit and stay in bed as long as I could...that was the plan until I fell back asleep. I need a break today though. I have classes at 12-12:50, 2-3:15, 5:30-8:10, and work from 3:30-5! (I'm writing this while I'm supposed to be at my 10 econ. class hehe) On another note I'm not sure if I'll be able to update this site for awhile because I'm going home for one last weekend and I won't have my computer. Hopefully I'll be busy like I was last time, but who knows. A lot can change in a short amount of time. An update on Maximu$ 3000's condition...Max seems to be doing real good and recovery pretty quickly. He already wants to get the fuck outa that hospital, even though he can't even sit up yet. The doctors had to put his new kidney in from the front because there would be less of a chance at damaging other things (mainly because they would have to remove one of his ribs). Speaking of that, his dad is actually doing a little worse than he is. (his dad was the donor) They did have to remove one of his ribs to get his kidney out, but it's not like he's in serious condition or anything. Just REALLY sore. I'll probably add a little more stuff as events come up later today. But I do have a quick gross little story that already happened to me today. You may find the story offensive so read at your own risk ;) If you don't want to read it just skip to the paragraph after it.

Ok...so after I got up for real today, I had to make a quick pit stop in el bano. I was going in there to use our facilites and when I got there I found a (da da da don) (image you're in a movie and everytime a "da" sound effect happens the camera zooms in closer and closer to what I'm talking about.) Which just happens to be the most feared and loathsome object you can find in a bathroom. (maybe not the most but damn close) It was the gruesome, mysterious, and ever feared...toilet bowl pube! I was like, "oh gross dudes." I mean you don't know who's it is or where it came from. And what are you supposed to do its right there. No way you're gonna touch it to move it, and I wasn't about to bend down and try to blow it off. So instead I used my evasive maneuvers and worked around it. It was a little difficult but I managed to make my way through. So yeah...that was gross. I hope next time this happens that person has the decency to get rid of it. Just talking about this again sends chills (bad chills) down my spine.

And on one last note, I highly recommend the Senses Fail EP "From the Depths of Dreams" to anyone who likes bands like Yellowcard, No Motiv, Allister, Matchbook Romance, Armor For Sleep, Audio Karate, Tsunami Bomb, Bowling For Soup, Dashboard Confessional, The Early November, Finch, Motion City Soundtrack, The Movielife, Name Taken, Something Corporate, The Starting Line, or Taking Back Sunday. Which are all excellent bands in their own right. On my way to my business class the other day I passed this school called Hartford University School for Urban Exploration aka a fucking prison for the ghetto youth of today. When I was walking by they must have been having recess because all of the little kids were outside playing. Then this buzzer went off and all of them started running. Then I saw why, the "pricipal/warden" was screaming at them all to start running and get the fuck inside! And he started throwing the basketballs at them too! (ok so that last sentence I just made up...but it coulda happened) Then I got to my business class with my TA Ying Lu. Yeah she talks probably how you would expect. She says stuff like markeTING (emphasis on the ting) and semster (rather than semEster) and leture (instead of leCture). And she also leaves like random words out too. A sentence she would say could sound like, "Name here header." (which I suppose is a lot faster than saying "Put your name here in the header.") Coming back to my dorms I took the stairs rather than the elevator again. (trying to stay in shape) Granted I'm only on the 7th floor so its not like I'm running a marathon or anthing, but anyway I've been searching for a quicker way to go down the stairs. I was thinking about something that could connect to the railing and you could slide/swing down, but that would be like impossible to make it around the constant corners. And then it hit me today running up the stairs. I saw a food tray. I am seriously thinking about trying to "surf" down the stairs. I know that's a really dumb idea, but now that I thought about it I'm just a little curious if it could really work, or if the only thing working would be me bouncing down 7 flights of stairs. Although I'd probably smack into the wall before careening down the stairs. Maybe I'll pass on that. Well if you don't hear from me for a long while, than you know that curiousity got the best of me. But before I go and do something stupid like that, there was one thing that I wanted to do while I can still walk. I was in the Walgreens the other day and saw this neon martini glass sign and I'm thinking about buying it. That way if anybody desides to come and visit they'll know what room is mine. The one that has a radioactive martini in the window. I got back from my intro to Philosophy almost an hour and a half early but I still wanted to shoot myself. Someone please remind me why I took that fucking class! Speaking of that class I almost gave this one kid a good ol' fashioned Ray-town beat-down. The teacher was asking what critical meant or something like that and that motherfucker busts out with "demystification"! I just about got up out of my desk and said, "Well, now I gotta kick your ass!" It's like an obligation when someone says a word like that. I mean there are just some words you shouldn't use in public and that demysifksajfkakfjkjf thing is one of 'em as far as I'm concerned. On a happier note my job was a little more exciting today. I even made up a little song about it while I was working. (its sung to the peanut butter and jelly tune, let me know what you think.) It goes a little something like this, "Paper, paper cuttin' and foldin'!" At least I got to talk with people today though. Anna and Laura both seem real cool, I was talking with them for awhile. (like I said I'm one of two guys at my job, is that lucky or what?) That's all for now, I'm hoping to make my way out again tonight, so I'll see ya all lata.

Sat. (I don't even know the date. lol)
Yesterday was very eventful but only semi-fun. I woke up at about 8:53 for my 9:00 class. I completely forgot about it for a second too. I looked at the clock and I was like fuck that I'm getting sleep. I rolled over, then I looked back at the clock and it fucking clicked. I swear you would've thought I was a fugitive and the po-pos were knocking on my door with how fast I was moving. Class sucked massive juevos, much like any class would have on a Friday morning. When I got back home I just fell back into bed and was out in t-minus .7498 seconds. (ummm...yeah) I was freaking tired. Not just tired. Freaking tired. (now I'm making fun of myself apparently?) Anyway my IM thingy ended up waking me up and then after talking with peeps for a bit, I went out to lunch with Mandy. (whose been having a rough time, her suitemate died in a car accident) When we were walking we ran into Jake Matson who hung around with us for awhile before he had class. I still had to pick up my American Popular Music book after lunch, so I got that little $54 fucker. (I know it's not a lot for a book, but this book is like the Papa smurf of all books. It's like maybe 100 pages. I think most of them are pictures too...not that I'm complaining about picture books, cause they rock da hizzy!) After that we made our way to Bayshore Mall via Milw. Public Transit! YEAH! (sarcasm...even though it's not nearly bad as Racine's) Let me tell you something, Bayshore Mall is so bad...(this is the part where you say, "How bad is it?") It's so bad it makes Regency Mall look like THE fucking superplex of all malls. It's so bad, it's even badder than George Thourghogood. (known most notably for his hit "Bad to the Bone.") It's SO BAD, it's worse than this lame-o running joke! They have like 3 stores there...seriously... Anyway I ended up spending most of my time there in Barnes & Noble reading magazines. I ended up buying the new Guitar World magazine. (mostly for the 20 page Nirvana article with part of an interview with Kurt, and for the Nirvana sheet music) When I got home I was chillin' like a megavillian in the room with my roomy Jim. We were getting our music as loud as we could get it and trying to syncronize each of our "Sweet Home Alabama" tracks. Then these girls Niki and (I want to say Laura) stopped by and we were talking for awhile. That's when I got Miss Rosales' email about trying to "hook them up" with a gig here on campus. (I'm looking into it as soon as I'm done with this Brit) So I was reading it and I asked Jim if he knew where to go. He just looked at me funny and said no. I asked the girls with the same result. Then my suitemate Kurt and his girlfriend walked by so I asked them. Niki, Jim and the other girl started cracking up. They said I was just asking people all these random questions, which I guess is true. (thanks a lot Brit j/k) Later on we were all going to go out, but I decided to stay home. (my sinuses were/are draining all day like Michael Jordan at the free throw line) So I just went to bed and slept for the better part of 11 hours. I'm feeling a lot better today, but not 100%. Anyway guys, I gotta go pull some strings for Brit and see what kind of stroke I got round here : ) I'm coming home for tonight with my guy Joel. We gonna be pickin up phatty chicks in the Talon on the way back. lol. Even if we did they would either have to be midgets or have no legs due to the severe lack of space in that pimpin' automobile. See ya all lata.

Sept. 7
Could this last weekend have been any more fun? Wow, I had a blast back in Raycilla! It's not like we even did any one specific thing that really made the weekend good, It's just being around the ones that you care about that makes it that much better. Of course it started out looking abysmal though. Joel was supposed to be in town to pick me up at about 5. I told him that I would be home by 4 so he could call me and let me know when he was about to get here. I get a call about 4:30 and I'm thinking, "Damn that kid drives fast!" But when I picked up the phone, I got a very different message. If you go to Joel's website at all, you know that he's been having more problems with his car, specifically the water pump. Well, it turned out that his car overheated and he wasn't sure if he was going to be able to pick me up or not. Obviously that sucked for Joel, and as for me, it was Saturday night and I had no plans because I figured I wasn't going to still be up here. So he called his parents to come and pick him up and he said if they had time they would swing by and get me too. That was fine with me, I mean, I felt really bad asking his parents to come over here and pick me up so I was kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. His parents said it wouldn't be a problem though. Thanks again Joel and Joel's parents...you guys rock! So I got a call a little after 8 and Joel said they were close. So I went downstairs and...BOOOOM! There they were, just like that. After we got into town we called up Mike, who was nice enough to come and pick us up. A big thank you to you too Mikealis! When we got over there, Matt, Jeff and Nina were already there. We had a blast just talking and doing crazy stuff. Just before Mike was about to kick us out (he had church at 7 the next morning) Mike gets a call from our good buddy Ray-Teezy. This was one of the last things that any of us expected. It turns out that Ray called Mike for a little advice. Lets just say that one of his good buddies got a little woozy after consuming massive, repeat, massive ammounts of alcohol in a fairly brief period of time. Me, Jeff, Mike, and Joel were all lucky enough to talk to the poor bastard, Ray actually insisted so that said person would have someone to talk to to keep him coherent. We gave Ray all the advice we could and messed with his bud as much as we could too. I feel a little bad about it though and partly responsible at least because earlier that day I had been talking with Ray's pal and I told him to take at least one drink for me. Evidently he decided to take one for everyone from Racine though! Anyway, Jeff was nice enough to let me crash at his house. Thanks to you too Jeff! Man I feel like such a mooch. But we were just chilling til about 3:30 when the sinus medicine I took finally kicked in. (The drowsy kind) The next day we were supposed to be at Mike's by 12 for the Packer game. Ummm...yeah that worked. I didn't even wake up until 1. We finally made it over to Mike's somewhere in the third quater of the game. (Go Vikings! hehehe) After the Vikings kicked the Packers brains in (ok, so it's not like they got their ass handed to em, but this will probably be the only time I'll be able to make fun of the Packers for losing to the Vikings so I have to make it sound good) we watched like the funniest show ever in the history of recorded...history! It was some crazy Japanese gameshow, but it was completely dubbed over with whatever the guys wanted them Japs to say. At one point guys were getting run over by bolders and getting the wind knocked out of them trying to run across logs. I can't even describe how nuts this show was. It was seriously like one of the funniest things I have ever seen though. It would probably be easier to describe in person too though. Anyway, we were chilling over there until about 6 when I had to run home and get ready to come back. Joel came by about 7 (in the Prius, man that thing is a beast of a car j/k) and we made it up to Milw. a little after 8. I showed him around for a couple then he was on his way back up to Green Bay. I've pretty much just been here trying to wind down some, even though I'm still way tired! (after get 10 hours of sleep) I'll be glad if next weekend is even half as fun as this one! There is one thing that I'm especially looking forward to! Hopefully it will work out. I'd tell you about it but that's for another place and another time. Tomorrow I'm supposed to be going up to see Max in the hospital. I'm hoping this is one plan that won't fall through because I really want to get up there and see how he's doing. We'll see how it goes.
