Size:  9lbs 2oz, 21" long
After months of waiting, little Aria came into this world.  From the start she has amazed her Mom and Dad.  She is so beautiful and such a good baby (not that we're biased), we feel very blessed to have her in our lives.  It was the best Christmas present we could ever hope for.

We had the wonderful honor of being asked to play Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus in our church's Christmas Eve Service. 

Aria was a wonderful baby Jesus, she slept through the whole service.

The story of her name:
Yes, Aria (Are-Ree-a) is an unusual name...where the heck did we come up with it?
One day on a trip home from Wisconsin we decided to think of baby names.  Just for fun we were reading road signs and making up names from the signs.  Doug saw a sign for a rest stop area ahead and says 'Arianna'.  We both really liked the name, we wanted something unique since Hanson is such a common name.  But after we decided on Arianna we heard of several new babies with that name.  So we shortened it to Aria.  After we decided on Aria we found out the meaning of the name.  It means a melody in an opera that is sung as a solo..
