| Episode #086: The Death of Saffir! Wiseman's Trap | ||||||||||||||||||
| The Black Crystal has grown to huge size and looms over the city, circled by copters. A TV announcer explains that the mysterious crystal seems to be spreading an energy that drains everything in its path. The girls are all sitting in Serina's home watching the TV. Luna can't believe it. Leta wonders how they will stop the Crystal. Ami says they don't know how much energy the Crystal has, and they need to find out. Mina says they have to wait for Tuxedo and Artemis, who are researching the Dark Crystal. Serina sits silently, chin in her hands. She can't get the image of the transformed Chibi-Reenie out of her mind. Serina's Mom enters with tea and snacks. She's worried and says it's dangerous and that they should get to a safer place. Serina starts when Mom picks up one particular cup, Chibi-Reenie's. But she can't remember why she's fixed this extra cup. The rest of the girls sit silently, remembering Chibi-Reenie in happier times. Mom leaves, and Luna says that Luna-P's hypnotic effect is wearing off, causing the family to forget her. Serina feels that deep in Mom's mind, she still remembers Chibi-Reenie. Serina's almost in tears, feeling guilty and selfish, because she remembers once thinking that everything would go back to normal if Chibi-Reenie was gone. Rei leans in to comfort her, and says that they'll get Chibi-Reenie back, everything will be OK. Serina thanks her, and both girls blush a little. Wiseman sits in the Dark Moon Citadel, thinking aloud about how the world will soon be in Darkness and the Death Phantom, an all-powerful being, will arise. Dimando and the rest of the Dark Moon are just pawns to him, and they will all perish. Saffir lurks in the shadows, listening. Wiseman senses something and Saffir quickly withdraws, but this time he was noticed. Saffir runs through the corridors, now convinced that Wiseman has been using his brother, and arrives at the Black Crystal of the future, pulsing with energy. Realizing that Wiseman wants the energy of the Crystal to continue growing, he activates a control panel and removes a crystal key card. The crystal goes dark and Saffir plans to destroy the key. But suddenly Wiseman appears and says if he is against the Death Phantom, then his sentence is Death. When Saffir asks who Death Phantom is, Wiseman tells him he is kind of God, who will wipe out all life and bring Silence and Pureness to the world. Saffir says he will tell his brother what he knows and they will decide what to do from there. Wiseman says only Death Phantom will decide, and Saffir will die before he knows any more. Wiseman strikes, the force of the assault staggering Saffir, who at the last moment manages to teleport away. Wiseman isn't worried, as he knows where he's going. In present day Toyko, the Black Crystal dominates the landscape. Black Lady and Dimando watch from a UFO over the city. The Crystal is growing smoothly, and soon the Gateway will open. This world will be destroyed, and so will the future. In the streets, people are trying to evacuate the area, and watching are the Dark Moon Sisters. They say that they should leave for safety as well. Prisim starts, as she sees Saffir staggering into a alley. Saffir has made it to a park, but collapses under a tree. The blades of grass remind him of something. He remembers when he and Dimando were kids and they had found a flower. This was rare on their world, and Dimando tells Saffir that one day they will reclaim the Earth, their rightful home, and they will see that it is filled with flowers. But Wiseman appears, and when young Saffir turns to confront him the adult Dimando is standing by his side. Saffir, now an adult, cries out to him, but to no avail. Saffir thrashes awake in bed, his injuries bandaged, but almost immediately collapses again. He then lies still, and Prisim enters the room with some food. She tells him where he is, and asks if he's come to punish them. If he has, then as the eldest she's prepared to take punishment for all of them. The other sisters listen outside the door. Catsy is worried and thinks they should leave. Birdy thought that Prisim didn't like men, but Calaveras says that isn't true, she's always loved Saffir. Wiseman has appeared before Black Lady and Dimando and tells them Saffir has betrayed them! Dimando can't believe it, but Wiseman points out that Saffir has taken the key card to the Black Crystal which they must retrieve. Dimando, stunned, agrees, but orders that Saffir isn't to be harmed. Wiseman and Black Lady vanish. At the sister's apartment, Saffir's uniform is hanging on the wall as Prisim serves him some food. He tells her he isn't there to harm them, but he wants to know why they betrayed them. Prisim says that Sailor Moon had taught them what it was like to really love each other. Nemesis was comfortable, but this world is filled with warmth and kindness. Saffir remembers the Dark Moon attack on Crystal Toyko, and the devastation it caused. He says that the Wiseman has deceived them all, and he must warn his brother before anything else happens. He tries to get up and collapses. He forces himself to stand, and Prisim steadies him. She realizes that he's devoted to Dimando, but tells him with tears in her eyes that she doesn't want him hurt any further. Saffir tells her that if someone was trying to hurt her sisters, she would do the same. They look at each other... Prisim stands alone on the balcony, looking out at the city, as she remembers Saffir's final words as he left, that his brother wouldn't hurt him. He left his uniform behind as a sign that he would return. (Image of Saffir leaving, not in his usual outfit.) Inside, the other sisters worry. Birdy says that Prisim shouldn't have let him leave, but Calaveras says there was no way to stop him, and besides with their powers gone there is nothing else they can do. Serina's phone rings and she answers it. It's Catsy, asking for help. In the streets, Saffir moves painfully towards the Black Crystal. He hears a laugh and Black Lady appears above him. She says he's saved her the trouble of looking for him. He tells her to get out of his way. She prepares to use Luna-P, but the Sailor Senshi appear at the end of the street. Black Lady isn't impressed. Sailor Moon pleads with her to stop, but she uses Luna-P to create a magnifying glass, which collects the energy of the Crystal behind her into Dark Power blasts. Sailor Moon cries out to her as Jupiter and Mercury knock her clear. Venus tries the Crescent Beam, but Black Lady counters it. Mercury uses Shabon Spray to shroud the area with fog, temporarily halting her attack. Meanwhile, Mars and Jupiter move to cover Saffir. Mars tells him to hurry up and speak with Dimando. He asks how they know about that, and Jupiter tells him that Catsy called for help and told them it was important that they save him. Saffir says they are stupid for helping their enemy. Mars says maybe they are stupid, but they believe in people, and Sailor Moon believes most of all. Meanwhile, Black Lady has turned the glass into a fan, and sweeps the fog away, revealing Sailors Moon, Mercury, and Venus. Sailor Moon pleads with her again and tries to use the silver crystal to restore her to her true self. But Black Lady proves to be too quick, turning the fan into an umbrella to protect her from the silver crystal's energy. She then turns it into a badminton racket and bird, which she knocks towards them. Venus prepares the Lovely Chain, but the bird stops short above the three of them, and envelopes them in a dome of Dark Power! Mars and Jupiter aren't sure what to do, but Saffir tells them to go ahead and help their friends, he's found who he must speak to. Dimando appears, floating silently above them. He goes towards Dimando as Mars and Jupiter go to the others. Dimando wants to know why he has betrayed them, and Saffir insists he hasn't. Meanwhile Black Lady attacks Jupiter and Mars with another bird and traps them too. Saffir tells Dimando that Wiseman has been twisting everything they have hoped for, as Black Lady watches the trapped Senshi. She turns to Dimando but suddenly the bird in her hand is knocked away and impaled on a tree, and the two domes are shattered. Black Lady turns to see Tuxedo. Tux tells Dimando he should listen to what Saffir has to say. Dimando turns to Saffir, and is willing to hear his side of the story. Suddenly, an energy blast streaks past Dimando and strikes Saffir! Saffir screams, and Dimando spins around to find Wiseman behind him. Wiseman says he doesn't need permission to kill traitors. Saffir staggers up on his knees as Wiseman releases another blast, "DIE!" It strikes Saffir full force, as everyone looks on in horror. Dimando screams Saffir's name. Saffir falls, and Wiseman recovers the key card he had taken, saying that foolish Saffir had been deceived by the Sailor Warriors. He vanishes, and Black Lady vanishes as well. Dimando seems too stunned to do anything. Tuxedo and Sailor Moon rush to Saffir. His eyes open, and at the Sister's apartment Prisim starts, and Saffir's uniform fall from its hook. The bandage on Saffir's head unwinds past his now closed eyes, revealing that his Dark Moon insignia is gone. Sailor Moon cries out to him not to die, and to remember Petz, but it's too late. Dimando approaches, kneels, takes the body, and with a look of hate says Wiseman's name. He disappears. Prisim sits alone, trying not to cry. Her sisters try to comfort her, but she walks out to the balcony, saying she know before he left that he would die, and she will always have Saffir's beautiful smile in her mind. She stand alone... |

| Episode #087: Believe in Love and Future! Serina's Will-Power | ||||||||||||||||||
| Serina runs through a park. In a flashback, Tuxedo tells Sailor Moon he is going into the Dark Crystal to find the source of its power, and the Senshi should return later. The gigantic Black Crystal looms in the background and lightning plays around it. Serina sees it's growing quickly, and knows she has to do something. Molly calls out to Serina. She approaches and says she's worried about Serina, and asks if she knows anything about what is happening. Serina hesitates, somewhat startled by this, and then forces a cheerier tone, replying that she doesn't, what could she know? Molly steps up to her and takes her hand, saying that she thinks Serina does know something but can't tell her, so she won't ask again. But if she needs any help she can come to her. Serina thanks Molly and runs off. Molly prays that Serina will be all right. As she runs, Serina apologize to Molly, and says she will protect both the Earth and her. On the Dark Moon, Dimando is looking at the Black Crystal when Wiseman appears. Dimando wants to know why Wiseman killed his brother when he had given orders not to. Wiseman tells him that Saffir had gotten in their way. The Dark Crystal's and the Black Lady's power is reaching maximum, and their day of vengeance has arrived. All else is secondary to this important mission. Dimando tells Wiseman he's shown his true heart (implies that he's been using them), but Wiseman reminds him that he too planned revenge on Earth while living in the darkness of Nemesis, and should they lose their chance now? (We get a glimpse under Wiseman's cowl and see a bare skull.) Dimando relents for the moment, committed again to the conquest of Earth, but warns Wiseman that when this is over he will investigate and find the truth of what happened When he is gone, Wiseman says he won't live to do so. In Tokyo, the girls have gathered together at the edge of the Black Crystal's influence. Rei says the evil energy is increasing, and they must stop it. Luna worries about Tuxedo, who is still inside the Crystal. Luna and Artemis attempt to leap into the zone, but are violently repelled. Serina and Mina run to them, and Rei tells them they will handle it. Leta says they should transform. Serina stands, tells the others to get ready and begins to transform, but Ami stops her. She says she just wants to say that they will all make it back, and when they do they should all go and have some crumb cake (Remember back in Ep 76? She thought it was too fattening). She just wanted to say this just in case... Rei tells her there is no just in case. Leta agrees, saying they should try the dessert buffet. Serina likes this idea, and Mina tells her she'll gain weight. The girls join hands. Leta: Keep the peace and eat the cake. Mina: For our future. Ami: For Chibi-Reenie and the people of Crystal Tokyo. Rei: Our minds united. Serina: We'll protect this Earth we love. Luna and Artemis ask them to be careful, and Serina tells them they can depend on them. She lifts her brooch and transforms, and the others follow suit. As they do, the Black Crystal continues to grow in size and power. At Sailor Moon's command the Sailor Senshi rush towards the Crystal, but the energy crackling around it sends Sailor Moon flying back. The others rush to her as she pulls herself up. She realizes it's Black Lady's doing, but she won't be stopped now, Chibi-Reenie is waiting for her. She charges the Crystal again, and this time braces herself against the energy discharges. Venus says Chibi-Reenie should be at the center, and Jupiter responds that only Sailor Moon can save Chibi-Reenie. Sailor Moon vows that she'll find the Black Lady and change her back the Chibi-Reenie. She calls everyone to her. At Sailor Moon's command, the Senshi combine their powers, and initiate the Sailor Teleport. Their energy surrounds them all, lifts them into the air, and they vanish. Luna says they're gone, but Artemis tells her they'll be back. The materialize within the Crystal. Looking around they wonder which direction they should go. Sailor Moon takes a few steps forward as Mercury calls for her to wait. Suddenly, an opening appears at her feet and she plunges out of sight. The Senshi rush forward, but the opening vanishes before they can do anything. Mercury activates her computer visor in hopes of tracking her through the Crystal. Sailor Moon is deposited deeper within the Crystal. She wonders where she is when a figure in the shadows welcomes her. With a start, she realizes it's Dimando! He leaps in front of her and takes hold of her, saying that this time she will swear her love and loyalty to him. He uses his third eye again, but this time the effect is hypnotic. Sailor Moon's eyes change to a solid deep blue, as she affirms her loyalty to him... Dimando moves in to kiss the unresisting Sailor Moon. A tear runs down her cheek and she whispers "Mamo-chan". Enraged, Dimando shakes her from the trance, saying he will make her his. Sailor Moon tells him that you cannot make someone love you, but he won't listen. He uses his third eye again, but this time Sailor Moon averts her eyes, telling him that even if he succeeded and has her this way, it won't be real love. She makes the mistake of lifting her head for a moment and becomes mesmerized again, falling to her knees. Dimando extends a hand and orders her to swear loyalty to him. She moves to comply, but just as she does so she has flashes of memory, seeing Chibi-Reenie, the Sailor Senshi, Molly, and finally Darean, as Tuxedo with his mask removed. She snaps out of the trance and stands, her eyes clear. Dimando can't believe it, and his third eye vanishes. Sailor Moon asks him why he is determined to destroy everything. He says that the Dark Moon Family is only out to live on Earth, but that his people and hers could not co-exist. She tells him this isn't true, and he start to say "Wiseman said..." when he stops. He remembers how Saffir tried to say something about Wiseman just before he was killed, and realizes that he and his people have been deceived. He turns to Sailor Moon, ready to listen now when Wiseman appears, telling him he must kill her. Dimando refuses, saying it's over now that he knows the truth, and energy flares around him. Wiseman strikes, but Dimando is able to shield himself from the attack, telling Wiseman he is up against Prince Dimando this time. They fight, equally matched, teleporting throughout the room, as Sailor Moon watches. Wiseman suddenly appears near Sailor Moon, saying she too must die, and releases a blast directly at her! Sailor Moon staggers back, but Dimando at the last moment takes the blast himself. He struggles back to his feet, bleeding, when Wiseman sneers he doesn't have the power to finish this and fires again. But Dimando summons a final blast that overwhelms Wiseman and shatters him! His empty cloak and crystal ball fall to the floor. Dimando collapses and Sailor Moon rushes to try and help him. Dimando realizes that the Dark Moon family has come to an end because he couldn't see through Wiseman's lies. (Unnoticed by them, Wiseman's crystal ball flashes a skull face and rises into the air. Wiseman begins to pull himself back together!) Dimando remembers that the Dark Moon sisters are living on Earth now, and says perhaps there is hope for his people after all. Lifting a hand to her face, he asks Sailor Moon to take care of them, and on the verge of tears she agrees. His hand falls back, and he dies. Sailor Moon cries his name, and then a noise makes her turn. Wiseman seizes her by the throat. He demands she hand over the silver crystal, as it will someday change the world. Struggling, she refuses and calls out for Tuxedo Mask. Wiseman laughs, and lets her go. Sailor Moon wobbles on her feet as Wiseman shows her images of Darean and Chibi-Reenie together, the two of them shutting her out. He tells her that Darean has given his heart to the little girl. Sailor Moon begins crying and falls to her knees, but refuses to be deceived. Wiseman then begins to surround her with Dark Power and begins to show her images of Tuxedo Mask with Black Lady, and then of the two of them kissing. He tells her that Tuxedo has abandoned her for Black Lady, and that she should in turn use her hatred and focus it into the silver crystal to fill the world with Darkness. Sailor Moon begins to believe that Tuxedo and Chibi-Reenie have really betrayed her, when an image of the true Chibi-Reenie suddenly appears to her, begging Sailor Moon to help save her mother. Sailor Moon snaps out of it and stands. Wiseman can't believe it. Sailor Moon tells him that her friends would never betray her. Enrages, Wiseman releases an energy blast directly at her. "DIE!" But a rose flashes by and deflects the blast. Tuxedo appears. (As usual at the most dramatic moment possible.) "A evil that uses magic to confuse the minds of innocent girls. I will not forgive you." And then the rest of the Sailor Senshi also make a suitable dramatic entrance! Wiseman just laughs and says it's too late. As the Black Crystal surges with power, he says the time has come to open the gateway to Darkness and engulf the world. He vanishes. Tuxedo says they must seal the gateway, and everyone rushes out. Emerging on the top of the Crystal, our heroes are confronted by a vast cloud of Darkness above them, and from it descends Black Lady. "Chibi-Reenie!" "Chibi-Reenie-chan!" Black Lady just laughs, and says as a follower of Death Phantom, she'll unleash Darkness upon the world... |

| Episode #088: The Last Battle Between Light and Dark! Vow to Tomorrow's Love! | ||||||||||||||||||
| We see the Dark Crystal, and then the true Chibi-Reenie, curled up and seemingly asleep. The Wiseman says that he is the Death Phantom and that it is time to cast the world into Darkness. The Dark Crystal surges with energy. Luna and Artemis watch from the top of a building as energy plays around the immense Dark Crystal in the distance. They notice that the energy output has gotten stronger and wonder if the Senshi were able to save Chibi-Reenie. If they don't defeat the enemy, the world will be destroyed. The Sailor Senshi and Tuxedo have emerged onto a platform at the peak of the Crystal. Black Lady, floating above them, releases energy from the Crystal to six monoliths surrounding them. She says she will open the Black Gate and cast the world into Darkness. Mars and Mercury plead with her, telling her she'll destroy the world. Sailor Moon tells her she will die if she accepts the power of the Black Crystal. Black Lady tells them they don't understand her and releases an energy blast that knocks them all off their feet. She says she will kill them all, starting with Sailor Moon and releases another powerful blast right at her! But at the last moment Tuxedo throws himself in front of Sailor Moon and takes the blast. Black Lady is stunned as Tuxedo falls, gasping, into Sailor Moon's arms. She can't understand why he would risk his life for another person. The Senshi (and Tuxedo, who slowly recovers) explain that is what you do for the people who are important to you and that she is a very important person to them all. They all start calling her Chibi-Reenie-chan. Their words are getting through to her when Wiseman interferes again. He orders her not to believe them and sends more of the Dark Crystal's power to her. Tuxedo pleads with her again, but she is more resolved to kill them than ever and continues her assault. They are all pinned down by the storm of Dark Power, but Tuxedo and Sailor Moon remember King Endymion words, that will face troubles much more difficult than what they have already endured. If their love is not strong enough they will not win. Tuxedo says they must unite their power if they want to succeed. They join hands and stand together. Sailor Moon again lifts the silver crystal and "Moon Crystal Power!" The light of the silver crystal blinds everyone. In the future, the same light engulfs the sleeping Neo-Queen Serenity. In the present, the light dies, and to the astonishment of all, Sailor Moon has transformed into Neo-Queen Serenity. She tells Black Lady it is time to remember her childhood. Neo-Queen Serenity's crescent moon insignia begins to glow, and Black Lady's dark moon insignia glows as well. We return to the memory of Small Lady crying because her parents wouldn't pick her up when she fell in the rain. This time they explain that they want her to learn to help herself. They want to raise her to be able to depend on herself. But Wiseman interferes again, and engulfs the three of them in a column of Dark Power. They float within it, Black Lady above Serenity and Tuxedo, as Wiseman tells Black Lady that we are all born alone and die alone, and then wipes her parents from her memory. An image of Chibi-Reenie cries out "Mama. Papa. Don't leave me alone." Black Lady, "That's right, I was alone in the Darkness. I won't let you deceive me." She again blasts both Serenity and Tuxedo. Despite the Dark Power assaulting them, Serenity tells Black Lady she must leave this place, it is not only hurting her physically but mentally as well. When Black Lady says it's more dangerous for the Queen, Serenity responds that she doesn't care for her own life, she loves her and wants her to be safe. She lifts the silver crystal and activates it again. Black Lady is hit by a montage of memories as Serenity tells her that everyone suffers hardships in their lives and that is when they must hold onto the memory of good times most of all. Images: Chibi-Reenie eating ice cream with Ami, working out with Rei, lunch with Leta, dressing up as nurse with Mina, Darean giving her a piggy back ride, making curry with Serina, and Serina telling her she is not alone. The memories fade, and the three of them are standing together. Serenity says the warmth she feels is the love others have for her. Black Lady realizes she is not alone, her Dark Moon insignia vanishes, and she moves to embrace Serenity. The column of Dark Power vanishes to reveal Serenity, Tuxedo, and a sleeping Chibi-Reenie in Serenity's arms. As they float down to rejoin the Senshi, Serenity reverts back to Sailor Moon. Everyone huddles around Chibi-Reenie as she wakens. She thanks everyone, and says she feels their love and warmth and knows she is not alone. Sailor Moon collapses momentarily from having used the silver crystal, but says that she is OK. The Dark Crystal surges again, and Wiseman appears above them. He says that even though he has lost the power of the Black Lady, the Gate is now open and he will destroy the world. The power has intensified to a point where it is now spreading throughout the city. He lifts his crystal ball and blasts them all. The entire Dark Crystal writhes with energy which begins sweeping out into the surrounding buildings. Luna and Artemis realize the Gate has been opened. Everyone is helpless under the assault. Tuxedo says the world will be destroyed. But Sailor Moon stands, and with the silver crystal sweeps the Dark Power away from them. Walking clear of the others she says she won't let that happen. She won't let them die and the world be destroyed. The others scream for her to stop, because if she uses the full power of the silver crystal she will die. Wiseman hits her with another column of Dark Power. But when it disappears Neo-Queen Serenity is once more standing in Sailor Moon's place. [Battle Music begins] Neo-Queen Serenity opens her eyes and releases the power of the silver crystal. Wiseman does the same with the Black Crystal, and the energies clash. But Serenity has difficulty fighting him. He says with the gateway to the Black Crystal open, her Crystal is useless against him. She won't give up. The power from her Crystal continues to grow. Tuxedo is holding Chibi-Reenie, both helpless. Chibi-Reenie starts crying "It's all my fault. It's my fault. Now because of me, Serina.." One of her tears falls, glows, and becomes the silver crystal of the future! Holding it, Chibi-Reenie stares, and remembers how it disappeared when she held it before, and realizes that it must have merged with her. She wants to use the crystal, but Tuxedo gives her the same warning as Sailor Moon, that it will likely destroy her if she does. She still wants to save everyone. He says they'll all help. The other Senshi say they won't lose, everyone's future is depending on this. Chibi-Reenie asks the silver crystal for help to protect everyone and in a flash of light she transforms into a princess dress. Wiseman can't believe it. The Sailor Senshi stand and link their powers, and both Serenity and Chibi-Reenie use "Moon Crystal Power" plus "Evil that would destroy the world be gone!" The combined attack is too much, and Wiseman is destroyed, as well as the Black Crystal of the future. Sailor Moon, and Chibi-Reenie (returned to normal) float alone enveloped in pink light, their eyes closed. They wonder if they are dead. Sailor Moon says if they are, it's all right because they saved everyone. The voice of Queen Serenity tells them that the silver crystal have performed a miracle, that they are still alive, and that everyone is waiting for them. They both lie unconscious, Sailor Moon held by Tuxedo, Chibi-Reenie by Sailor Mars, with the others surrounding them. Sailor Moon recovers, and rushes to Chibi-Reenie, who awakens as well, to the joy of everyone. The Dark Crystal looming over the city slowly shrinks and vanishes. The sky clears and the sun rises. The danger has passed. Later, in the park, Ami, Rei, Leta, and Mina are bidding Chibi-Reenie farewell, and asking her to take care of herself. Leave it to Mina to remind her not to wet the bed. Chibi-Reenie promises she won't. A little ways away, Serina and Darean watch. Chibi-Reenie looks at Serina, and neither one knows what do to. Darean urges Serina forward, and Chibi-Reenie advances a few steps as well, but they still don't know what to say. They finally both rush to each other and hug tightly. Chibi-Reenie lifts her face to Serina's and says "Thank you.. Mama." Chibi-Reenie turns away, and all Serina can say is "Chibi-Reenie". Chibi-Reenie thanks everyone and then uses her key, vanishing into the future. Serina whispers "Good-bye, Chibi-Reenie", but Darean puts his arm around her, and they smile at each other. In the future, Chibi-Reenie runs on a hillside, with the restored Crystal Tokyo gleaming behind her. As she mounts the hill, she finds Neo-Queen Serenity, King Endymion, and the Sailor Senshi waiting for her. She walks up to them... and curtseys. Then, eyes glistening, she rushes to her mother and they hug. As Chibi-Reenie weeps for joy Serenity says, "Welcome home." |
