| This is the story of Kagome, a modern day girl who accidentaly falls down a well and discovers that it is a portal to fuedal Japan. There she releases the half dog demon Inu Yasha from where he had been bound to a tree for fifty years. Kagome is actually the reincarnate of Kikyou, the priestess who bound Inu Yasha to the tree in the first place after he tried to steal the Shikon no tama, a jewel that gives its owner all sorts of power. A rosary was placed around Inu Yasha's neck, binding him to Kagome. After the Shikon no tama gets broken and the shards scattered, the pair teams up to find the pieces and fix the problem. There are several wonderful characters in this story. Sesshumau (the guy being tormented above) is Inu Yasha's brother and the two seem to hate each other with a fiery passion. He claims to have a hatred for humans and yet he allows Rin, a human girl, to follow him around. Miroku is a buddist priest with a blackhole in his hand and a bad habit of feeling up women. Sango is one of the last of the demon hunters clan and has a demon cat, Kirara. Shippo is a fox demon. He is only a child but he still show greater insight than many other members of the party. I have seen a lot of this and will be adding things as I come across them. |
