Process   

 

*Note: #1, #3 and #4 should be done as individual assignments. #2 should be done in two groups assigned by the teacher.

 

1. The Bermuda Triangle

a) Research the sites found on the resource page. Explain in your own words what the Bermuda Triangle is.

b) Research the sites found on the resource page. Make a poster of the area that is called the Bermuda Triangle.

c) Research the sites found on the resource page and explain the origin of its name.

d) Research the sites found on the resource page and describe the most interesting information you found.

 

2. The teacher will divide the class into two groups.

Group #1 will be the "fact finders". This group will research the sites found on the resource page and state three facts they find to uphold their opinion that the Bermuda Triangle does exist. They will use this information to debate with the other group.

Group #2 will be the "myth chasers". This group will research the sites found on the resource page and state three reasons they find to argue that the Bermuda Triangle is only a myth. They will use this information to debate with the other group.

 

Discussion will be held as a class after the debate to see if anyone's opinion changed as a result of the information they gathered or as a result of the information provided by the other group.

 

3. Research the sites provided on the resource page and write a one page research paper about another strange phenomenon.
