| How will the billing information get to D&L Express Medical Billing? Inner office procedures will be established for the retrieval of billing information. We will set up a tray system in which the inner office staff will place the appropriate documentation. How long will it take before electronic claims can be submittted? The initial set-up for electronic claim submission generally takes up to 4 weeks. In most cases, the set-up takes approximately two weeks, four weeks at the most. The set-up time estimated for electronic claim submission varies from insurance carrier to insurance carrier. Can a patient call the billing center if they have questions on their account? Yes, they can call (708) 442 9391 or (708) 288 4784 during our hours of operation. And the appropriate person will assist them. What are the terms of my bill for your services? We bill on a bi-monthly basis, due upon receipt. Do you do coding? We will review codes used and will notify of code changes. What are your hours of operation? Monday through Friday 9am-7pm. New patient registration forms, change of patient information, Superbills, E.O.B.'s , copies of payments received by patients/responsible party and insurance companies. Also, as a set-up procedure, we will need current (seen within the past year) patient information and the information on all insurance companies that you accept. Occasionally, further documentation will be required for billing purposes and will be requested on an as needed basis. How often is insurance follow-up done? Insurance follow-up is normally done daily or on an as needed basis. What are the benefits of going with your outside service as opposed to having billing done by my office staff? Our priority is to speed claim submissions and receipt of payments for each claim while reducing claim denials. This will give your office staff more time to satisfy your clients personal needs. |
