My graceful cats

Through they fully deserve my love, my cats are an excellent example of a response to grace.

In cat's little minds, the one who feeds them and shows them affection is their god. After all, the Greek word for worship is derived from a root meaning a dog licking a master's hand.

I have loved them since they were born in a back room in my house. Because I showed love to them, they return that love to me and to the neighbors next door. They allow my love for them to overflow back to me and the lives of others.

They are outdoor cats and there is no fences to keep them in. There's a whole world they could stray about and they could even run away, but thay always stay in the my yard or the neighbors. Why? The same reason Christians don't take advantage of the fact that we are no longer under law, but under grace (Romans 6:14).

The cats probably think in their animal minds, "We could go somewhere else, but where can we have it better than we have it here?" God's grace freed us from the slavery of sin which results in death to serve Christ who leads to eternal life. When we consider what we've been been freed from and who we serve, why would we return to a life of sin?
