The Holy Rosary Council is located at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Wahington Avenue in Detroit Lakes, MN. However, our council is made up of five parishes. They are Holy Rosary of Detroit Lakes, Assumption of Callaway, St. Francis Xavier of Lake Park, St. Andrews of Hawley and St. Mary's of the Lakes near Pelican Lake. Our regular meetings are held on the second Monday of each month from September to June. There is a supper at 6:30 PM with the meeting starting at 7:30 PM. Both are in St. Benedict's and St. Scholastica's room in the Parish Center. The business meetings are held on the fourth Monday of the month at 7:00 PM in the church basement. The next business meeting will be held October 9 at Holy Rosary Church in the Parish Center in Detroit Lakes.

Holy Rosary Council was founded in June 1948, with a total of 70 members. We work closely the four parishes providing funds for various projects, members being active participants in their parish. etc. Currently the council have over 300 knights in membership. In 1977, we held the state convention. Also, the Holy Rosary Council was instrumental in organizing the first Tootsie Roll drive in Minnesota for people with developmental disabilities. We sponsored the "Right to Life" monument by the Holy Rosary Parish Center. Our Council has always been an active council and a great benefit to our community.
