Left Wing 4 |

Here I am laying out the fuel tank filler hole in the top of the wing. Try to imagine what it felt like to know it had to be perfect the first time. It's only a 12 foot piece of aluminum that's already drilled for all the rivets in the top of the wing. |

Look at the results. You know I am proud of this one. |

I had to remove the top skin again to finish the strobe wiring and the pitot tube tubing. I wonder where the holes have to go in the inner rib? |

I put in a 0.032 6061-T6 aluminum doubler for an inspection cover and to service the pitot tube down the road. The cover with the pitot tube is 0.025 6061-T6 aluminum. They are mounted with flush rivets and the cover gets installed with 6-32 screws into nutplates. |

Here is a shot of my airplane factory and the guard deer that protect it. You have to be careful. Sometimes they block your way back to the barn. |
