| Lu and I met in Baumholder, West Germany in 1981. We were both in the U.S.Army in the 708th Maintenance Battalion, 8th Infantry Division. She worked as a supply clerk in HQ Co. and I as a mechanic/truck driver in Bravo Co.. We were married July 16, 1982 in the German courthouse in the town of Baumholder and lived in an apartment in Leitzweiler until we transferred back stateside. We now live near her hometown of Mandaree, ND where she is an enrolled member of the Hidatsa tribe. | |||||||||||||||
