Urinary Tract Infections (UTI's)
This was a recurring problem that was originally hard to
diagnose. From an early age Katie had continuous phenomena’s that had her on
and off antibiotics. Being on the antibiotics and having a diagnosed primary
problem other than a UTI, masked the detection of this condition even when
testing was conducted. The significance and frequency of the infections wasn't
detected until in her 7th year. Prior to that there were several positive tests
done, but the real number of infections could be considerably higher.
Testing
Testing of the Urinary Tract had revealed that Katie's
bladder did not expand when under stress, irritated or for other unknown
reasons. This condition is not consistent which increases the difficulty of
managing the problems.
