Strange or Fun Things Not Necessarily from the 80s or Canada

This page offers links to some of the odder things out there that I have come across and enjoy or at least make me chuckle. Some of this is different but none of it is really all that terrible.

Red Meat - I first saw this comic strip in the local papers of Flagstaff, Arizona. I ended up meeting the guy that writes the cartoon - Max Cannon - at a local street fair in Flagstaff. I told him that he should venture out east with the strip and gave him the suggestion of pitching it to the Village Voice. He told me that he had no desire to go east, let alone be put in the Voice. So, about 7 months later, I go home to NYC, grab a Voice to see who is playing and bam! There it is, the cartoon that turned on me. Great strip though. Milkman Dan is terribly funny.

Pleasurable Piercings - Hard to believe by some but I had a time where I was pierced here and there. Nothing too out of hand of course - 3 in the ears, one in the tongue (done twice) one in the navel and one in my septum (between the nostrils). I don't know why I liked them - I'd like to get my septum redone - cause you can sort of hide it. But we'll see.

Venus Body Art - This is where I got my tongue pierced for the first time. In fact, Marilyn Manson's photographers were there getting some work done and asked to photo my piercing. They did - I drove them back to their hotel and crashed the Acura because of the endorphins racing through my body from the piercing. D'oh.

Red Meat Generator - Disgusted by this comic? Then why not take a crack at making your own. Here is your chance to get even with Milkman Dan and Earl.

Doodie.com - Not as bad as the name implies - although pretty close. Think Ren and Stimpy meats Fartman. New cartoon shows up on Mr. Winkler's web site each day. Look for an upcoming movie with him and Adam Sandler. News on the site.
