The Bartenders

Juan

Tony

My favorite bartender of the group by a long shot. And it's not because of his bartending skills by any means. Juan actually hangs out with us outside of the G whether it be a Phish show (or 2 in a row) or at a Widespread Panic gig. Also, he pours a perfect drink. I met Juan at a Phish show in Albany (I think) and have come across him several times since - and then he started working at the G. Craziness!

Tony is bartender #2 in my book. Before Juan he held the highest ranking. Tony is a super bright guy when it comes to creative advertising concepts. He only works at the G part-time now, fully employed by a company in SoHo. Tony comes up with business ideas as often as I do, of which have yet to develop, but someday will and will be very successful. He and I created a few ideas for a FedEx ad campaign that I still to this day think are brilliant and pitchable.

Eddie

Rob

Danielle's arch-enemy in the social circle. Well, not really. Rob is a really good bartender and makes a great drink. He has a bunch of fun (although he would never admit it) watching us as a group at the G.I think he thinks we are crazy (not that far off) but secretly wishes he hung out with us outside of the bar.

Eddie was the nicest bartender ever...until he started hanging out with Rob and Ben on a regular basis. I truly think the three of them, all very different from one another, grouped together and do things (baseball games, etc.) as a result of seeing us, the patrons, having so much fun as a group. I could be wrong. Eddie has a classic old-school BMW, of which he gets major props from me.

Ben

Ben. Hmm. Well, when he feels like pouring you a drink or a shot or grabbing you a beer, he'll do it. And even then it seems like a struggle. In fairness, he does  know how to make a good drink and when he is in a good mood (see Megan Garbutt - well maybe not now), he is quick and cordial. Like Rob, he is most likely fascinated by us as a group, but he is a little less amused by us.
