5/17/05:
June 25th - Chaos continues
Serpent's Flame is fully beseiged by the Jade forces. The Green Queen has annouced her surrender and only Dragons Tooth remains free in the Dragon Bay region. The Sapphire Army continues to seek out the last remains of the Lancers before it will turn its massive organized forces against New Haven Castle. Hope begins to fade for the freelanders now just a rebellion in the South. The dwarves once again stand alone to face the final wings of the Jade army, but they too are cutoff from the main battle yet to come. A full wing of the Jade army is moving with speed through the small villages south of Anhur. It is possible with a month the Jade wing could be on Anhurs doorstep, but a new Lance has rode out to meet the enemy and attempt to slow their advance so that the lances of bane and the order shield can reach the capital. The news however is grim as more forces pour from the lofties carring the Red banner of Ignatazagath. Demons follow flaming fiendish minotaurs, fire giants, giant hell hounds, and other creatures of pure flame into the once scared forest of the Great Wood. Can help arrive in time, can some how the heros secure the chaos stones and reach anhur before the Chaos Bell tolls its last.
4/24/05:
June 24th - year of Chaos
More fighting continued at the pelor fields, this time the Lancers didnt fare well... the flanking manuever by the Sapphire Army was complete and the lancers were driven back to the river's edge. Here a band of Jade warriors assualt the lancers at the crossing and the band was scattered. The fighting turned South and without the help of the Lancers at the river, the Freelanders were cutoff from supplies and after 2 weeks of fighting were routed into the mountains. The dwarves secured theire tunnels for 2 weeks, but knew they could never reach the northerners in time. After the 2 weeks the tunnels broke open to renewed attacks of the Bargehest and Jade forces. New haven castle meanwhile held its first council meeting. It was decided the lances and shield would head North to Anhur at once. Raven Yenz was also dispatched to Serpent's Flame to help the lancers if he could. Meanwhile the Elven hunters set out to delay a lagre force of the Red army from New havens unfinished walls. Reports arrived detailing an ambush. Raven's company was set upon by giants and they never made it to Serpent's Flame. The Forces of Anhur had further bad news as a large wiong of the jade army broke through the South Anhur lines and was heading for the village of Portown. That would put the marching army only days from the Captial.
4/13/05:
Day 2 of Fighting at Pelor - 80Days since the Fall of the White Lord
News continues to come streaming in of an advancing force of Sapphire troops toward the defenseless position of the Anhur rear guard. Hope continues to rise however as the fabled lances of bane have been found as has the shield of order. If the shield and the lances cna be return to Anhur before the Bell has reached its peek, the Chaos Gate can be closed. If not the Doom Bell will sound the arrival of the Tanari forces. It is known that the Baatezu Lords will counter such a measure by launching their own forces into the realm. Anhur and the Western Shores will never see a more darker time if that comes to pass. Time may be on the side of the heroes for now, but the moon reaches its peak at full Winter only 6 months from now.
3/31/05:
News from the Pelor fields -- thus far the fighting goes well, the Southerners are holding back the Jade warriors and the Sapphire army has yet to make any progress against the Anhurian front. The dwarves are also tying up the barghest and goblin reinforcements. However, news isnt all good. The great blue citadel has begun its seige of Serpent's flame and a few Jade units have broken into the city proper. Worse, a third blue force has been seen streaming out of the Fang and headed not for New Haven Castle (formerly known as SwampHaven), but instead for the Tongue River. This maneuver once believed beyond the Chaos general's ability to conduct order, will pin the Southerners in the South and will successfully cut off and flank the Anhurian Lances currently assisting the Southerners. Construction continues at a rapid pace on the New Haven fortifications, but in light of the new force, New Haven may have to take the battle to the enemy or risk being the victim of another seige.
3/16/05:
News from the Pelor Fields- a great force of Jade warriors, merged with an even more massive force of hobgoblins and knights from the great wastes. The Sapphire and Jade armies clashed in numerous battles with Anhur, Frelander, and Dwarven forces through out the early hours. It seems as if the war of the freelands has begun again. Rumors tell of forces emerging from the Fang Forest - once the home of a renegade band of Elves that had allied with Swamphaven in recent weeks to help clense the area of Onyx forces. This new force of the Sapphire Amry seems pressed to find something or someone.
2/23/05:
News from the Southland has indicated that the Sapphire Army has now taken hold of the area around Foesmite, but hope yet lies in the hands of a few adventurers who are believed to be in Foesmite and possibly in possession of the sacred artifacts that can end the Chaos war. News has also reached Anhur that the great red wyrm Ignatzhasagath has awoken and has taken flight inot the lofty mountains just west of the Elven wood. It is believed that the great red has the final chaos stone and is at this moment opening a portal the the 7th hell to bring in his hellspwan council. Dark times are ahead for a large army of goblins led by a great number of barghest have beseiged the dwarven kingdom. But even as his kingdom is being over run King Zandar Battlehammer has travelled to the kingdom of Anhuria to stand beside another human king in the face of certain doom. Meanwhile the Jade army and Sapphire armies look to overrun the freelands and push Northward inot Southern Anhur. Anhur's forces are still recovering from the near loss to the Onyx Lord who has seemingly been defeated at the hands of Blue Shield.
11/17/04:
The Chaos War has begun. Hark, Anhurians make for the capital city of Anhuria. The chaos armies have renewed their assualt on Anhur and its allies. A vicious blue army lead by blue dragons, a wierd race of dragon-men, and a huge number of well trained hobgoblins comes forth from the desertlands of the runeking. This army is lead by a female champion known only as the Blue Lady. This queen of the storm is kept secret in her floating fortress which even now attacks the gnomish kingdoms as it makes its way slowly toward the dwarven keeps -- intent on reaching Foesmite. Rumor has it that this fabled keep has been found and with it, the great gold - glimerzthansis.
Another powerful army lead by Jade assassins has rallied the goblin-barghest armies of Moria and is now moving to encircle the remaining southlands including the freelands of Serpent's flame. Treachery has allowed this army to inflitrate Anhur's borders and Belwar's and Caldar's ports are now in enemy hands. Tales of a revived white army has taken the North from its allies. The Onxy army still stirs in Swamphaven and now the elves lie in wait for the final and greatest army of the Chaos Stones... The ruby faction has been seen in the lofty mountains, demonized minotaurs on great hellhounds roam the high peaks with devils and demons on the wing beside them. the fire Giants have already begun to start border fights with the elves. The world is in for its darkest hours...
