Mental Techniques to Improve Your Output.

As Arnold always preached,"If you truely believe you can acomplish something with all of your mind then the body will follow". Mind over matter is an age old qoute, yet rarely do we hear any practical ways to apply it. That is what this article is about. I'm not going to bore you with testimonies and proofs rather I will give you some simple ways to improve your self as an athlete and a human using your brain.

1) Counter the effects of stress.(Stress can harm you both mentally + phisically)
Find a quiet place(I use ear plugs)
Sit or lie down
Focus on breatheing- deep 3 to 4 count while you relax your abs.
Systematically flex and relax all your muscles starting at your feet and moving up to your head
Concentrate on the feeling in every nevre when you flex/relax

2) To be a champion you must think like one
Make a list of important tasks you have and phrase them all in apostive light. ie. I am not afraid should be I am confident

3) Practice visualisation
This will aid your development of skills, prevent deterioration of skills due to lack of phisical training, and enhance concentration.
Do it for 5-10 min. 3-4 times per week.
Visualise the situation add sights, sounds, feelings in muscles, etc.
When this becomes easy visualize all problems that could happen and add a solution to each.

4) Set Goals
There are hundreds of articles on the net on goal setting so I will leave the specifics out, but if you are in doubt get "Thinking Big" by Skip LaCour.
By the way I am in no way being payed by anyone to give my endorsement/recomendation or my negative opinion of any products. Back to the Main Page 1
