 Sarah Jo McCants

Nurse at the Edan Clinic

"Immortal"

Lives with her husband, Duncan MacLeod in the town of Edan in a house near the clinic.

Sarah Jo was born Oct 5, 1890 in the Appalachian Mountains. Orphaned at a very young age, she was adopted by Katherine Dixon, who recognized her as being a Pre-Immortal. When Sarah Jo was accidentally killed in feud between rival mountain clans at the age of 17, Katherine whisked her away to a convent where she could be safe until a teacher for her could be found. But Sarah Jo decided to stay, and was sent to nursing school by her order. Three years later, on the eve of the day she was supposed to take her final vows, Sister Sarah Joseph stepped out into the convent garden for a breath of fresh air, and suddenly appeared into a brand new world ~ EDAN! She is now married to Duncan MacLeod, and gave birth to his son in April  of 2002. But Sarah Jo had promised Doc Adams that she would also have a child with him. She kept her promise and recently gave birth to his baby.

Wyoming Davis

Wyoming, a talented wildlife biologist, was doing research on wolves and other animals in the remote mountains of Montana when she woke up and found her cabin was now in a brand new world! She and Edan's resident vet, Tom Kirby, have formed both a professional and close personal relationship. They now have one son, named after Tom's father, and Wy fulfilled part of her *civic obligation * by becoming pregnant by a man with different DNA.

Fiona McFadden

Born into a well to do Irish family, Fiona grew up on a large estate, playing with the wee folk that lived on it as well. When she grew up, she became a teacher in a center for homeless children in Dublin, and was injured in a bomb blast that killed most of the people in there. In need of emotional and physical healing, she took refuge in remote cottage in Connemara until the day she woke up and found that she was now in the Secret Garden located just outside of the town of Edan. It was there she met and fell in love with Father Philip Callahan. Luckily for both of them, priests are allowed to marry on Edan!

Kasumi

Eighteen year old Kasumi was on her way home to Okinawa from the school she was attending in Tokyo  when she suddenly found herself on Edan along with a Chinese man named Hop Sing, who had taken her under his wing to *protect* her. With the aid of businessman Paul Racine, she and Hop Sing are setting up both a laundry and an oriental restaurant in the town of Edan. Behind their new home, they found a bath house in need of repair, and after fixing it up, opened it up as well. Over time, she and Paul have become very close, and she recently gave birth to his daughter, Amaya Ren Racine.

Bethany Faith MacDonald

Faith is the youngest of the three MacDonald sisters, being just short of her 18th birthday when they arrived in Edan. A sweet, devout girl, she had hoped to be allowed to enter the convent where she could pursue a spiritual vocation, but her brother arranged marriage for all three sisters instead. But when they arrived in Edan instead of the Americas, Faith finds herself able to chose her own path with the help of Father Alec, who is not only her pastor and spiritual advisor, but also her very special friend. She is a talented seamstress.

Hope  Magdalene MacDonald

Hope is the middle MacDonald sister. Groomed from early childhood to be the family's hope for a possible marriage into a noble family, Hope is rather spoiled, and tends to be vain and more concerned about her social standing than her two sisters.  But the hardships of life on the pioneer world of Edan forced her to grow up quickly and become a contributing member of the world's society.  Helping her through this painful growing up process is one of Edan's priests, Father Ralph de Bricassart, who must learn to deal with his own inner torments  in this world of new beginnings and second chances. They are now engaged to be married.
