Angels Amongst Us
Edan is now the home to some very special angels - Michael, Tess, Andrew and Monica. They have each been assigned a different area of Edan to watch over. Monica, who was recently promoted from search and rescue to assisting people in need with their personal problems, is now living in Esperanza with her mate Fr Liam Riley and daughter Ruth. Monica speaks with a soft, lilting Irish brogue and takes on the guise of various occupations as a cover for her assignments. When she felt the time was right, she revealed her angelic identity amidst a glowing shower of pure heavenly light. Andrew, the Angel of Death, lives with his mate Shannon just outside of the town of Edan. He watches over the town itself and the farms and ranches outside of it. Andrew does not kill people, nor does he actually have any power over life and death. Instead, he comforts those who are going to die, and then escorts their souls to Heaven when they expire. He is an extraordinarily kind and gentle angel. Andrew sometimes does "casework" with Tess and Monica, but usually he only shows up when it's some mortal's time to leave the corporeal plane. Andrew can automatically sense when a mortal is in imminent danger of death. He can attune himself automatically to a dying person, and he may communicate with anyone to whom he is so attuned, as if they were wide awake and fully-functional, even if their corporeal form is comatose, drugged or even insane. Tess somewhat reluctantly left the town of Edan, where she sang in Joe's Cantina, to her new assignment, the town of Newport! It is not an easy task since the evil one known as Bub is not far away. Tess is a no-nonsense angel supervisor. Possessed of great wisdom and keen insight, she often allows herself minor expressions of irritation from time to time. However, her judgment never falters, and despite her deep affection for Monica and the humans they work with, she keeps her mind on her work. Michael, who is the only one of the angels who wears his wings openly for all to see, now lives in Camelot, where he is making life very interesting for Brother Darius! He watches over not only the castle, but the Scot/Irish settlement of Glenerin and the nearby Monastery. Michael is hardly the image of a perfect angel. He's scruffy, unshaven, likes nothing more than to eat sweetened cereal by the box-full and to chain-smoke all day long. He also enjoys the company of women as well!

Edan's Mission Church
|

| Father Alec Popeleski
Father Alec was transported to Edan during the beating that would have eventually caused his death back on the old world. He now pastors the Mission Church in Edan. The clergy of Edan are faced with many new challenges. First off, there is no *Catholic* Church of Rome to be over them, and secondly, none of the *rules* seemed to be in effect anymore! And the power that brought them to the world seem to want them to be fully contributing members of their new society. Each one of the priests has met a special young woman that seems to be the missing part of their hearts. For Alec, that woman is Faith MacDonald, a sweet, very devout young Scottish woman will soon be his help mate.

Father Philip Callahan
One moment Father Philip was playing soccer with the youth of his parish, the next he was in a beautiful garden on a brand new world called Edan, where he meets not only real life faeries of all things, but a beautiful Irishwoman by the name of Fiona McFadden who steals his heart! They are now married, and the proud parents of twins, Bridget and Patrick.
History: Father Philip Callahan is an Irish Jesuit priest, who serves as the spiritual guide for the Legacy Team. In his early thirties, Philip has the brooding good looks of all the "black Irish". Growing up in the harsh streets of Belfast, Philip was never one to back down from a fight, but he found a moral center and deeper purpose in the Church. Despite the derision of his peers, Philip joined the priesthood in his twenties. The heart and moral center of the group, Philip's faith is driven by a deep and abiding belief in a world beyond that which we can see and hear. This belief in the mystical is what drove him to be a priest, and it is what ultimately brought him to The Legacy. His formative years as a youth in Belfast toughened him up, preparing him for the battles with demons. He boasts a wide knowledge of religions and ancient languages, as well as a keen insight into the human psyche. His acute insight into human nature, and an ability to judge someone's true character makes Philip perfectly suited for his job and a powerful ally to the team as they contend with both supernatural and the more ordinary aspects of their missions.

Father Ralph de Bricassart
A young Irish priest, tormented between his ambitions to rise in to power in the Catholic Church, and his love for a young woman, arrives on Edan where he finds the *rules* seem to have changed. Father Alec, the resident priest becomes his friend and his counselor as he works through his problems. To further complicate things, a young Scotswoman by the name of Hope MacDonald arrives and she looks exactly like Meggie, the woman he had loved since she was a child! After a very careful courtship on his part, Ralph and Hope were married at Camelot during the holidays. She is now expecting their first child.
History: Father Ralph, a handsome, young Catholic priest from Ireland had been banished to the outback for a previous disobedience. There, he became very close to a little girl named Meggie, loving her as the child he would never have. But when she grew up, Father Ralph was torn between his own love for Meggie, his love for God, and his ambition to rise in the Catholic hierarchy. Spurred on by the spiteful Mary Carson--who was herself attracted to the priest--Father Ralph was forced to choose between his own advancement in the church and his love for Meggie. He chose the former, and soon found himself at the Vatican. Father Ralph rose quickly through the hierarchy of the Catholic church, eventually becoming a Cardinal, never learning until it was too late that he had fathered a son during the one time that he and Meggie had consummated their love. |
Father Jose Herrera
One bright morning, Father Herrera suddenly finds himself in a mysterious garden on a brand new world called Edan. There, one of the faerie women decides she is going to do her absolute best to cure the dreaded disease called *Celibacy*! Hydra and Jose are now married, and the proud parents of a precious little girl named Aquarius.

Edan's Protestant Church
Vicar Geraldine Grainger Geraldine Grainger is the pastor of the small, but growing Protestant church in Edan. Although attracted to a certain type of man, she has now found one that loves her and most importantly, makes her laugh. George of the Jungle, a rather clumsy but lovable (not to mention handsome!) man is at her side day and night.
HISTORY: When the 102 year old vicar of St. Barnabus Church dies in the middle of a service, the small village of Dibley readies itself to welcome the new vicar, a Mr. G. Grainger. There's one small problem...Mr. Grainger is, in fact, a woman.... The congregation, all six faithful souls, reacts to her arrival with a mixture of wonder and horror. "You were expecting a bloke with a beard, a Bible and bad breath," Geraldine says. "Instead, you got a babe with a bob cut and a magnificent bosom." She likes men (Sean Bean in particular) and eating (especially chocolates!) |

Glenerin Presbyterian Church
Father Walter McBain Glenerin also has a small protestant church pastored by Father Walter McBain who had been escorting nine young Scottish women to the new world on the *Bride Ship*, which on its way across the Atlantic, took a detour and ended up on Edan! Shortly thereafter, he married one of the girls that had been in his care, Temperance McPherson and their two children, Miracle and Kirk. History: Father Walter McBain, a Scottish Presbyterian Minister, came to the wilds of Canada to tend to the large flock of relocated Scots there. They had no formal place for him to live, so he stayed at the Inn, but because he did not want to mingle with the drunkards and whores, he remained most nights in his chilly room. After a bout with "The Gravel" (kidney stones), he never regained his strength, and died in February of 1854.

It was from that turmoil, he suddenly found himself sent to Edan, where he became a parish priest for Glenerin, and is now married to a beautiful leprechaun named Niamh. They are now expecting their first child.

Father Liam Riley
Father Liam has been sent to assist in the founding of a church in Esperanza with the help of Rev Gene Purdy and the angel, Monica. It is not an easy task since most of the residents have little use for religion. Liam and Monica have become closer and closer, and recently she gave birth after a 3 day pregnancy to his part-angel daughter, Ruth Riley.

He has ritualistic, self-inflicted scars all over his face and body and he has the ability to transport himself and one other person anywhere he wishes.
