The two door hinges and brass balls, were really worn out. I did not realize how bad the door sag was till our first stop on our vacation. It was bad enough that the door would not stay closed. We were able to "Jerry rig" a fix by bending washer into a concave shape with the brass ball and a nut screwed reallly tight then inserting the bentwashers under the brass ball this rased the door enough that it would stay closed most of the time, except on bumpy roads. When we got home I bought a piece of 3/8' brass rod and made my own, I had to make them longer and not circular in order to compensate for the worn hinge piece. This is working pretty good for now. But I just ordered a new set of hinges and rebuild kit for a Scamp 13, the sales man told me depending on the model it might not be an exact match, But they will work. So I should have these on sometime next week. I'll post pics. |

The sink is hooked up now, got a little hand pump for $50.00, and installed it in 10 min. However we do not have a perminent water tank so I have a big blue one from Canadian tire under the sink with the hose running into it. I think it is a 8 gallon tank and it lasted us a full week-end of camping. We also put up a paper towel holder and a little towel rack. God bless the dollar store. |
