| Do you know you learn? If your answer is I am not sure or I don't know. You should take the HBDI and VARK leaning style test. The HBDI and VARK are two questionnaires that are designed to help you discover how you learn best. The HBDI contains of four different learning styles the feeling, thinking, doing and innovating learners. On the other questionnaire, the VARK contains four learning styles also, the Visual, Kinesthetic, Aural and Read/write learning styles. The HBDI and the VARK have details on each learning style. When you are done taking the test you will see it. They both are designed to help you learn batter in class and in your everyday life. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| ������� According to the results of HBDI I scored high as a doing learner. Doing learner like to take thing step-by-step, I do this in my study skills class when the professor had us do paragraphs and putting them together to make an essay we used step-by-step. Doing hands-on work we use this learning mode with our website in with the professor helping us on the way. My next highest learning style is feeling. Feeling learner are energized by questions that begin with "why?" or "who." I start my questions off like that when I am not sure about something. Personal connections when we get in our basic group. Feeling learners also like instructors that are caring. I want an instructor that cares because they can help me batter if they care. Thinking learner is my third highest score. Thinking learners like facts and theories like when we so thing in my reading class, also so textbook readings in our in study skills class when we work on our journal. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| ������� According to the results of the VARK I scored high on visual and kinesthetic. That mean I like to highlight thing in I do I so that in my reading class; I also like to involve all of my senses-sight, touch, taste, smell, hearing. I like to use those in my cooking class; I also relate information to my own experience. I use that in my writing class when I do my essay, in my reading class when I study my vocabulary words I say them and then I relate them; and I also use it in my study skills class when we do our own journal. Aural learn is my next highest score. I discuss topics with other in my class, and explain new ideas. When we are in our base group we sit and talk about topics and ideas; put my thing on notes card when I am in my reading class I put my vocabulary words on the cards. The lowest scored I had was in read/write essay everyday; I read everyday in my writing class and other people essay and I have to read thing in my on course book. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| ������� Out of the HBDI or the VARK I think my reading teacher use the VARK more then the HBDI. My reading class. use Visual with my vocabulary words when she tells me to highlight them. She also uses the Aural mode, when she put us in to groups in class to talk about main ideas. She put things on the overheads with example the has the main ideas on it so we can practice them. My reading professor has me put my vocabulary words on note cards. She also uses kinesthetic teaching mode. She does this by giving us work to do on the computer and having us take test on the computer also. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| ������� Between the HBDI and the VARK I have to say Mrs. Weiser use the VARK more then the HBDI. Mrs. Weiser use Aural we he put us in our basic groups so we can discuss topics with each other and example new ideas to each other. In my writing class he read our papers same times out loud. He also use read/write he do this by giving out handouts about how to do an essay and how he wants it. The way he use Kinesthetic, he has use relate information to our own experience when has use do our essay. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| ������� My lowest score on the HBDI was Innovating I had score a 21. Innovating learners enjoy seeking new possibilities, imagining unseen futures. I don't do this much but me working on it. They like to work independent I like to work in a group. Innovating learner are uncomfortable with and answers based on abstract theories, cold fact, emotion, or personal considerations. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| ������� By me take the HBDI and VARK I have improve my grades in my class and in my life. Both questionnaires tough me strategies to learn in all different ways. We all know everyone don't tech in the same way. Just by taking the HBDI and VARK I can understand my teachers, all because the HBDI and VARK. | ||||||||||||||||||||
