Doug is still in college.  He had to transfer to Capital(PSU) in Middletown so that is why we moved down here.  He works at Good Samaritain hospital now.  He loves it.  Other than doing school and work, he is working hard on the house.  It isn't a finished house so we can add our own touches.  He gets to do his first really big wiring job.  Luckily, his dad has been down here helping.  He has helped his dad on many jobs so it should all go well.
Katie is very happy to have her house.  It is also nice for her to have a girl.  Now, she can have some help with all these boys.  Not planning on having anymore for a long time, if ever.  Right now, she is at home working on things in the house(painting, and stuff) and taking care of kids.  That is enough work on its own.  All the loses in her family took a tole on her, but the kids and new baby have helped to make that pain ease a lot.  Plus, she knows someday she will see them all again.
Our pets are doing good with the move.  Cats were scared at first, but since made themselves at home.  Losing all the fish was devasting, but in the long run, made moving easier.  We just lost the one bird so that is still very fresh in our minds.  As for the big bird, we had to sell him for his benifit and our kids.  He was very possessive of Doug and that didn't work with the kids.  He now lives with 2 more just like him.  So he is much happier.  We miss him, but in a way, we are happier too.  Although, we would love to take in more birds and fish anytime.
Please take a moment to let us know that you were here, even if this is your second time returning.  Thank you!

These are some sites that we visit from time to time.  Doug and Katie love the Reniassance sites, and the kids(and Katie) love to go to the other two sites.  Katie really likes the Disney site because she's in love with that funny mouse.
Roy is happy with the move as well.  He loves all the room we have.  Although he misses family, he is adjusting well.  He is in 2nd grade now.  He was going to be homeschooled, but the school district down here has a great rep. so we are trying it.  So far, he loves it.  He has been in for about a month and can't stop talking about school.  He does great in math, but we have to really work in the reading.  It will all come soon I am sure.  As for out of school, he loves going to the renfaire, and just went to Chocolate world with his Aunt Pattie.  All the kids loved it and so did the adults.
Matthew is doing great.  He also loves the move and adjusting well.  Although he is 5, we kept him home this year and will send him to school next year.  We felt too much change at one time would be too much.  He is learning fast.  Mom and him work during the day while Roy is at school.  He loves having a baby sister.  His brother and him both wanted a baby sister very bad and were glad that they got one.  He was very sad that we lost our one bird, as was his brother, but they both have since grown from the experience.  He also loves that we have 2 apple trees with the new house.
Well, it has been a long time since I updated.  We have moved for those of you who didn't already know.  We are now living in Annville, PA.  We bought a nice cape cod house.  Hopefully I will have pics of it soon.  Before the move, we had a baby girl.  The first one in the Gable family in 60 years.  Her name is Lyssa.  Roy is now going to be 8 and Matt is 5.  Moving has been an adventure for us, but we really love it.  In the move, we now only have 2 koi fish, 3 tropicals, 2 birds(1 died and 1 we sold due to baby), still have Sasha and 2 cats(Banshee and Vesper).  Other than all this, there really is nothing else.  Will try to update as much as possible.
As for the family update, along with losing dad in 2003, we lost Katie's gram and pap.  Although, on a better note, we have a new baby girl, plus we have Corinne, who is just over a year old and a new baby on the way on Doug's side. Adam and Melissa will be having their first one sometime around Christmas.  We are very excited about this.  Sonogram says it is a boy, but we have to wait and see what God gives us.
