As a minimalist description (since I do not have the original writeup at this time), WiniX is a variation of Linux that I designed back in the 1990's. It allowed Linux to run as a WINS Server, running many of the capabilities that are required by a multi-capable network enterprise server at tens of thousands (even millions) of dollars less. It also contained a number of additional features, such as that it is a 'Five-Nines' operating system (five minutes of downtime per year), was parallel processed, has embedded capabilities, is real-time, etc. - too many numerous features to 'retype', again and had many additional security features built into it and many other resources and additional programs available at that time, evolving continuously into including optionally security features from places such as the Security-Enhanced Linux patches from the National Security Agency, for example. Note that as dkFlyer was the number one Linux and other help website on the Internet from the mid to late 1990's, it is this WiniX version extensions that have been and are now in 2004 being adopted throughout the world (and I do intend on putting the dkFlyer Linux and other help website back up). (Also note that WiniX had a number of other features built in that were never disclosed publicly, but that WiniX is the latest incarnation of UniDos, including automatic scalability and with the ability to run Windows XX and-or other OS's concurrently in a window and many other concepts that are too advanced to describe at this time.)
