| I'm slave to 2 Quakers, Rocky and Gracie, and 2 Solomon Island Eclectus, Nicky and Nell. We live in an apartment in north Dallas, with my husband John. | Quakers are very hardy birds. There are feral Quakers living in Fort Worth, although I have never seen them. Some states feel that Quakers are a threat to crops, but that has yet to be proven. | Eclectus are one of the most sexually dimorphic parrots. The females are a brilliant red with either blue or purple on their chest (depending on the sub-species) and the males are a brilliant green, with a candy-corn colored beak. They require a fresh-food diet, and can be over-supplemented if fed pellets or other "enriched" foods. See Nicky and Nell on their own pages. Nicky's name came from one of John's friends, who named him "Nicholas Caged". You can groan now. LOL Nell's name came from "Rocky Horror Picture Show". | My parents live in Houston, as well as my brother and his family. My sister and her family is in Idaho. I have a niece and sister-in-law in Colorado Springs. I enjoy spending time with John's niece and nephew and their parents in Fort Worth.
