Here is some other random stuff I felt like taking a picture of and posting on the internet...
Here is a pic of the mineral cabinet I made several years ago to hold my growing collection of minerals. Its made from red oak, stained "red oak" and I have a sheet of glass in a bevel I made in to the frame so I can keep the dust off my collection. If you want instructions, email me! It wasn't to difficult to build and cost about $150 total. They go for $500+ on the various cabinet websites made out of oak.
Here is my geiger counter. I like collecting minerals with rare earth elements in them, especially radioactive ones. I bought it off ebay for about $50 or so from a old civil defense surplus place in Alaska. Works great! Just add a few D batteries, and off clicking you go...
Here is a holder I made for all my misc. nuts and bolts. I was tired of having them strewn across the garage and through a bunch of boxes. I made it out of scrap lumber, mason jars and a 3' long threaded bolt. It swivels around around the bolt so i can get to all the various jars.. Pretty nice and convenient!
Ahh I can't wait until spring... New lawnmower to get dirty.. Its even got electric start!
