| The Fa||en |\/|od. Second Release. The first one had a granite spear as a initial weapon you could choose, but that put the bow one too mny spaces over and u couldnt select it ( I just tried it and found that one out ). So no spears for new chars, less u buy em. To install this mod, copy the " databaselmp.res " file into the RES folder of ur evil islands installation. eg;" D:\games\evil islands\res " Make sure u save a copy of the origional .res file ! In case u get sick of my mod and want to play with the original game stuff. I have been using this mod whenever I play Evil Islands, so dont tell me if your characters get messed up ( in a way not listed below ) Ok Ive been playing Dungeon Seige heaps. Its good ( damn good !! ), but not amazingly and blindling fun ( its lacking in complexity and depth - tho you can learn to play it before you character gets to level 3 and Stoneridge, which is really good ). Ill still want for other games, like Evil Islands. Now I gets back into Evil Islands : Curse of the Lost Soul after about 2 weeks of complete absence and Evil Islands is just lying on its side and not moving much :'( So i made me a mod like the following, to amuse myself and make things a bit easier. It isnt meant to make Gipath a place you play for one day, before you can take on the Ingos quests. Its more meant to make the caves easier and change sum stuff wut annoys me greatly. It will speed things up a bit tho, and not all benefits are for the Cave quests. _______ Changes : *Character generation - Added a strengthen spell as a first spell choice ( no runes, just a plain old strengthen spell, i didnt wanna risk unbalancing the starting characters with a spell you can sell for thousands ) *Weapon abilities ( sword, bludgeon, axe, bow ... ) and Spell Knowledge abilities ( Astral Magic, Magic of Fire, Sensory Magic ... ) - lvl 1, +5 lvl 2, +15 lvl 3, +35 *Stats abilities ( str, dex n int ) - lvl1, +1 lvl 2, +3 lvl 3, +6 ( you can gain a whole nother action by gettin lvl 3 dex !! Pluss theres a heap of melee u can get too ) With these better abilities, tanks can now do sum damage to zombies, so mages wull like havin a couple of tanks handy. Mages also get heaps more stuff, thats ok tho. I dont like how in Evil Islands : Curse of the Lost Soul, the players are mostly out-classed by the enemies. Consider the number of people playing ( especially when you consider how many GOOD people are playing ), the amount of enemies you have to face, the strength of enemies, and the simple fact that you CANT do some quests ( or even get to the quest area ) without a lot of fighting. Players need to be stronger. *Mages wearin battle armour ( i hate mages wearin th same armour as fighters - its jst dumb ! ) : Crappy metals to use in armour weigh less. Heavier metal = better armour rating. Bronze weighs as much as mithrill used to. Bronze originally weighed 6, meteorite now weighs 8. They step up by 1 from the weakest and lightest, to the strongest and heaviest. If you wunna go light so you can run away from zombies and let them rip your tanks ( fighters ), while you sit safely back and cast spells, you can use lighter, weaker armour. Hehe, thatll really screw up sum leeches i know. Now try to run in front of me and take what i just killed, in your heavy meteorite armour muddafu*ker !! Weaker characters ( archers, weak fighters, fighter/mages, mages ) will want to wear thinner armour cos theyll be able to run and jump and stuff in it. i guess. *Abilities - Encumberance does more. About 50% or so ( i think ) more. With the added str you can lift a full set of heavy meteorite armour and a full set of meteorite weapons and some meteorite wands at the run. Health, Stamina, Recovery and Regeneration abilities have been increased by like 20%. ( Night Vision and Actions I didnt mess with ) *Base Regeneration Rates - Most enemy regeneration rates have been lowered. Most still regenerate more than humans, but 'normal' animals ( ie; man-eating tigers, man-eating dogs, man-eating wild boars ) dont regenerate much at all. Humans have 0.2% regeneration, it used to be 0.1%. Zombies have 1.0% regen, it used to b 2.0%. *Cave Enemies Cave enemies have had about 10% taken off their armour. Shadows hav had a little bit more taken off. I dont like shadows. *Enemy drops have been altered. Stuff like skeletons dropping gold really annoys me. Now enemies drop what youd think theyd drop, and stronger enemies drop more of it than the weaker enemies of the same type. Adult boars ( Middle Mounains map ) now drop tough leather, instead of thin leather. *Gipath Store All colours of Dragon Bone and White Tiger Skin are now available in the Gipath shop. Why was white tiger skin not in the place were u want to make tiger stuff ? I know that it will now make sum white tiger skin armour that you wont be able to buy straight off but thats ok :) |
