TEKNOBRAT Biography
Who is Teknobrat? Hailing from Montreal yet currently living in Ottawa, Teknobrat has been in the scene since 1987!
His prior musical training includes
having studied the trumpet and piano at the Musical Academy in Canterbury
High School in Ottawa.
Teknobrat has worked for 11 years
at ABM Records in Ottawa, a dance music record shop selling all kinds of
electronic discoteque music
and with several European techno/house
distributors such as INDISC, PIAS, PRIME, CYBER and KUBIK.
At this time, he has an ever-growing
music library comprising of an astounding 5,000+ albums.
The early Detroit techno sounds
is in his blood and soul as well as the early chicago acid House
and Ghetto Trax sounds from the
end of the 80's early 90's.
Teknobrat can been seen weaving Hard Tribal
Techno/ Tech-House / Detroit Techno/Chicago HardHouse/
House and essential underground Disco Classics
at the leading and underground parties.
Also Teknobrat recently holds a DJ residency at Mercury Lounge one of the most mythic house music venues of Canada's Nations Capital.
In addition to playing these venues,
he had his own techno house music radio show:
LA TEKNOSPHERE RADIO SHOW on CHUO
89.1 FM, Ottawa,wich air from Sept 1997 to February 2005.
Also he was the main host of the
legendary techno house music radio show,
PLANET RAVE, aired on CKCU 93.1
FM Ottawa, from 1991 to 1997.
He released his first vinyl offering,
Teknobrat Trax Vol.1, on KOMATSU RECORDS(HOVE, BELGIUM) in 1997.

as one of the top 13 Bosh Anthems of the
Year for 2004 in the

Teknobrat also released in 2007 the trippy pounding acid house project Tune In Tune Out Have A Nice Trip EP on Berlin's ODREX MUSIC Net Label
+ the deep soulful tech house - electro outing Kromazine EP on Mannheim's CIRCLE MUSIC DIGITAL label.
His latest release to hit the underground dancefloors of the world is REBORN EP on the legendary progressive tech house label MALEC RECORDINGS in Germany.
It includes a crossover style of electro, electronic neo disco, tech-house & minimal and features the contreversial Politically Incorrect track with samples from a Obama campaign speech.
His favorite DJ's and producers of all
time include the following:DJ Hell, Jeff Mills, Derrick May,
Kevin Saunderson, Carl Craig, Blake
Baxter, Robert Hood, Underground Resistance,
Adonis, Phuture, DJ Pierre, Marshall
Jefferson, Richie Hawtin, Speedy J, Dr. Motte, Maurizio
and Laurent Garnier.
His two all-time favorite recordings are E2 E4 by Manual Gottsching and All Major Solo Recordings by Giorgio Moroder.
