| Mike "Tank" Martinez, born and raised in New
York City began dee-jaying at the age of 9. Trading his drumset for a set of turntables and DJ equipment, Tank began honing his skills doing block parties & house parties. At the age of 15, Tank spun at his first nightclub doing private parties at the legendary "Funhouse". Since then he has spun at numerous clubs in New York, New Jersey & Florida. Besides spinning in clubs, Tank had the #1 mixshow for 2 years on noted NY college radio station WKRB-FM (B91) with an Arbitron plus rating. He was also the resident DJ on the USA network cable show "X-posure". Tank has also done live remotes for WQHT-FM (Hot 103/Hot 97), WLIR-FM (92.7) and WKTU-FM (Hot 103). Tank has also managed several records stores with over 10 years of experience including starting the first DJ school on the Northern East coast in New York. While teaching at the New York DJ Entertainment School, Tank had successfully trained over 100 students in the art of Disc Jockeying concentrating on club skills and basic music education. As Billboard Dance Music Chart Promoter, Tank has promoted noted dance music artists like Madonna, Mariah Carey, Patti LaBelle, and Daft Punk to name a few while working at Pellegrino Promotions. Tank also helped A&R and promote "Party Jams" for Island Records/Dancin' Music Records. While working at Tommy Boy Records, Tank promoted the label's product to retail stores all over the country. Tank also helped A&R and promote the label's projects including, "Tommy Boy's Greatest Beats" Volumes 1 through 4 and "Perfect Beats" Volumes 1 through 4. Tank is currently producing and remixing music for release in 2006 and 2007 with his partner, Pete Atlas as T&A Music. With their current releases "Freaks On The Floor" & "Mio", Tank has gained recognition as an up and coming producer and remixer in the dance industry with remixes on board for Georgie Porgie, Black Liquid and Neil Cohen to name a few. Programming all types of music, Tank specializes in all types of house music with much of his program orginating from the UK, Germany, France & Holland.
